One would be the 8 hour night shift in -35-¦C guard foxhole, i basically did nothing but kept my eyes open and spotting for possible incomings. It took nine months to get feeling back to my toes.
The other was the tree day march with full gear + camping equipment. We were constantly attacked by fully emulated yellow nation forces and training courses. We marched about 8-9 hours per day so i have no idea how long the route actually was due to our navigator being most likely high. On the last day every step was a nightmare.. |

Ahhh, today is Turkey Day otherwise known as Thanksgiving Day here in America.
I hope everyone who celebrates this holiday has a Feast Fit For A King.
Today's Dinner menu in the Crimson house is of course a 21 lb. Turkey cooked to a moist mouth watering golden brown, served with traditional Bread Stuffing, sliced Jellied Cranberry, Mashed Potatoes with Turkey Gravy, Sweet Corn smothered in Butter, Hot Dinner Rolls, Apple Walnut Lettuce Salad with various types of Salad Dressing, pitted Black Olives, Bread & Butter Pickles, Deviled Eggs, Salt & Pepper, etc.
Snacks for the day include Chips with 7 Layer Dip, homemade Banana Nut Bread and various types of Iced Sugar Cookies with Sprinkles.
Desert is a veritable sweet tooth smorgasbord = Lemon Meringue Pie, Apple Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Pie, Mince Meat Pie and a Cheesecake as well as Vanilla Ice Cream.
Of course there's also some Fruit Punch to wash it all down.
Yum Yum.

DMC
Edit :
Dinner will be served here at 3pm (in 10 minutes) so it's time for me to log off now and commence to stuffing my gullet, if you know what I mean.

Well, I have to say dinner was excellent.
I munched down 2 plates full of food. Then I took a slice from each pie which filled up another plate. I'll feast on that in the next couple of days due to eating so much dinner today.
Definitely had to loosen up the belt a notch or two after today's feast.
Hope everyone else had some good eats as well.

We had a tactic in fighting holes, piece of 550 cord around the arm so only 1 guy needs to be on watch. When your watch is over you tug on the line to alert the first person in the next hole they're on watch.

I remember this particular engagement. My team was trading hits against the enemy for probably 13 hours straight. I had just got some intell on a backdoor into the enemy camp and was about to give the order to the clean up crew when something completely unexpected happened. The pizza guy was early. I had no choice but to abandon my post, get the door, find a pen, and sign for the pizza. When I got back, the whole place was a blood bath.. followed by the enemy humming the Imperial March over comms.
To this day, I believe the pizza guy was in on it. |
