Good thing I don't go to the "Hip" Walmart.

Odd with how prolifically fecund that rabbits are, that they are not used more as a food source. I only ever saw rabbit about 3 times on menus in San Fran at French Bistros only.
It's just really hard to find available commercially. (I've never once seen rabbit at a grocery store).
I believe it is the cuteness factor that is involved here. "He has mounted his hind-legs, and blown crass vapidities through the bowel of his neck."-á - Ambrose Bierce on Oscar Wilde's Lecture in San Francisco 1882 |

So, I was struck the other day by how accurately this EVE Blogger nailed the biggest problem of EVE right on the head.
Now, Jester has chimed in.

Hey, Target CEO..........when I am in your store shopping, I am a "customer", I am not a "guest" as you are so fond of calling us, anymore than I am a "guest" of Netflix when I renew my subscription.
What, are you going to feed me and put me up for the night for shopping in your store ?
Just stop it with the overly presumptuous attempts at fake politeness. They sound absolutely silly.
"We would like to apologize to all of our guests....." Sheesh. That is NOT our relationship.
This goes for just about every other retailer as well. Does not Walmart call us their "neighbors" or something else stupid?? "He has mounted his hind-legs, and blown crass vapidities through the bowel of his neck."-á - Ambrose Bierce on Oscar Wilde's Lecture in San Francisco 1882 |

I think some the big things for new players is that Eve is too harsh, and its not twitched based.
Also the skill system is different than any other game.
Plus sandbox type games such as Eve are difficult for a lot of people to enjoy. People, who talk, don't know. People, who know, don't talk. |

Being such small animals it makes it untenable to butcher in large quantities. Unlike chicken, which can be plucked and shipped whole, you'd have to skin the rabbit, at which point you have more difficult spoilage issues.
The upshot of this is that the rabbit meat you do get (at nice French or upscale New American restaurants) is likely better than what you would get if they were farmed. If House played Eve: http://i.imgur.com/y7ShT.jpg |

I was thinking earler about UFO's an all that stuff earler because I heard a couple of people talking about it and one of them asked me my views on it and this is what I said.
"I can't say that I do belive in aliens because I haven't seen a UFO my self. But at the same time I can't say that I don't either because if we (humans) are the only intelligent, (simi)space fearing race in the universe then it seems like an great waste of space to me. "

I've seen one over Virginia (my lengthy story is posted here).
But I do not think that the things we are seeing have anything to do with aliens at all.

I have seen some weird stuff too. But I think the likelihood of them being super advanced aircraft under the control of who knows what Earth based organization is higher then them being of extraterrestrial origin. Or atleast I really hope they are ours.
I guess what gets me the most is why these craft seem like they want to be seen if its some top secret government aircraft. People, who talk, don't know. People, who know, don't talk. |

On top of that, I think that many are far more advanced for two reasons. 1.) they probably dont have governments that hamstring the createst discovery force (NASA) and 2.) They haven't introduced themselves.

And that drive has a little problem : "Brendan McMonigal, Geraint F. Lewis, and Philip O'Byrne have argued that when an Alcubierre-driven ship decelerates from superluminal speed, the particles that its bubble has gathered would be released in energetic outbursts; in the case of forward-facing particles, energetic enough to destroy anyone at the destination directly in front of the ship.
Anything that gets here or anywhere going faster than light is not a part of this particular universe at all, and probably of a nature we cannot ever see or experience. In short, something spiritual. And that leads directly to scientific theism, which is it's own brand of insanity.
Besides, if they do exist as real entities in our particular universe, why would they even be remotely interested in us at all ? We have nothing for them, at all. Nothing to gain from us in any way whatsoever. And they would probably be bored anyway from all their other encounters before they get to us.
Those Discovery shows are just playing to the wishful thinking of children, and are no more real than their shows about if mermaids are real. "Chariots of the Gods" and all that nonsense. This is just people looking for a higher entity to "save us from ourselves", which should sound more than a little familiar.
