Real talk: I'm just absolutely blown away by CCP the past few months. I applaud their willingness to make some incredibly bold moves that will hurt them in the short-term in the interest of the long-term success in the game. The devs have been active on reddit, active on Twitter, and it just feels like they're loving the game they helped create again, and treating it like a labor of love instead of a profit machine. I don't particularly care about the reasons - new CEO, E:D looming on the horizon (and Star Citizen, which at least seemed like a legit game months ago and not total vaporware), whatever.
PLEX prices should go down quite a bit in the short-term as projected demand drops and investors cash out in panic, but lower PLEX prices will also encourage those who PLEX their accounts and would also discourage those who treat PLEX like pay-to-win, leading to more equality between players. Without massive fleets of bot miners hoovering entire belts literally minutes after they spawn, in the short-term will probably drive mineral costs (and thus everything else) up, but the resulting increase in income for industrial players should lead to more diversification of play styles and hopefully more fun (and thus more actual players, y'know, playing the game).
