You're kinda talking to me OOCly about my characters IC opinions as if they're OOC. Erica shrugs Drifters off as easy targets IC, yes, that's what she believes. Do I? No they are very challenging, but if more people got out there and did some field experimenting and had fun with that then things might change, instead of welping big fleets at them which isn't fun for anyone, especially those who lose their ships in the process when it was always going to end that way anyway. Are we talking IC here or OOC? You are really struggling to separate the two throughout your entire post. No "evidence" was given by me or Fern at any point, just an opinion (mine and my character's) and story (by me). I wasn't trying to prove anything (though Erica was in an IC sense, least that's how I decided to have fun with the story after the fact). Miz was told she could be put in touch with the people and science of those achieving these drifter kills and wasn't interested, too busy caught up with a stomach knot because someone (how dare they) challenged the autopsy. Miz was offered the actual "evidence" but chose to ignore it. shrug Fine by me. I don't care what your character thinks, at the end of the day. Where exactly haven't I explained this, because I'll certainly go and describe it if it needs describing. But it looks like you've got that front covered, sooooo..... Now, I really don't care -in any way- whether I get recognised -at all- for learning about Drifters. Some people? Maybe. Me? No. Of course, if I get my name mentioned anywhere outside of a discussion I got involved in, I think that would be kinda cool, but whether that happens, I'm not worried. What it sounds like is you're, uh, 'calling bullshit' on my screenshots? Well ok. I suppose I could probably photoshop that. But whatever you choose to believe, I'm not worried. At the end of the day, I take screenshots more for amusement rather than for 'evidence.' I did put quite a bit of mathematics into trying to make the Drifter thing with Frigates work, but in the end CCP changed them in Mosaic, before I could get on, test it, and have a little bit of fun with the work I'd put in. shrugs That's ok. I'm not worried. I work around these problems predominately for me. But if others want to know what I have learned in testing with them, just have them ask me goddammit. People don't want to be proactive unless it involves them being the benefactor. When I flew with you that night it was purely for some fun and something completely different. No real RP-motivation behind it or even intention to write about it on the forum. Though it became perfect later for both, as Erica responded to both people's criticisms and Drifter-fears in an IGS thread, telling of her sister's story and that how she'd seen first hand how it would be possible to kill these things with just one or two pilots, if you're willing to put the research in, as you'd done. I was just a monkey flying a ship. Now, had Erica made a thread instead of just a post, to join the other 20 Drifter threads or w/e floating around IGS, maybe people would have taken more note. Or had Ferni made a similar kind of thread and included math or tactics. That's what a lot of people in that side of the community expect I think, to be hand-fed the content. Few will go out of their way to contact you/me for more information, and even less pilots will bother to jump in a couple Cerbs and go out an actually try it. And people wonder why my character hates Empire. Now these guys did a spectacular job with their research and written content they poured into this autopsy. And CCP were wise and awesome to pickup on it. Though it could have been so much more solid and incredible had they given it more ingame basis, so I feel almost like they let the people who did the autopsy content down a little in that regard. It's not like they couldn't make a Drifter corpse or something, arrange the Drifter take-down, or supplemented the storyline content with ingame content/research done by others such as yourself. µä¢ c-++¦-¦+¦-+-à
