Surely people must agree that the word filter on this forum is excessive, I can understand certain words for the sake of stopping overzelous parents from having a hissy fit but It's seriously annoying me. Words such as ***3r and t1t should not be blocked, especially when they block ANY appearance of the world. I've seen sites that have gone as far as to block the word sex, people who live in Sussex in UK where getting temp blocks for excessive profanity. I don't want the forums goint this way. When we cant use words like fire*3r or bluet1t it's getting too bad. The game has no filter AT ALL! Why is the forum becoming ** germany, all these blocked words need be seriously looked into because guess what... people here don't need protecting from nasty words, they're not that pathetic. Is there some way we can petition this to CCP or the webmasters in the forums. It's rediculas. I am personally offended that the word g4y is blocked to the point where I have to avoid the filters with leetspeak to even discuss it. SINCE WHEN DID CCP BECOME MY PARENTS!? They don't give a flying FCK about this in game, I sware all the bloody time in game, yet the forum is censored to a rediculas level. People don't have the right to 'not be offended'. The majority of the EVE players are adults, the EVE players that are children need to shut the hell up, the adults are talking... CCP fix this, it's pssing me off, and I want to express that it's p*ssing me off without the use of a damn asterix to protect the children from my mentally damaging words. So much therapy... grow up. It is unreasonable to demand the Mods be able to judge all the offensive words in all of the parent languages we might be using. Therefore they use filtering tools. Sometimes these tools are overzealous in their filtering. That is the price we pay in this age of internet correctness.
