Originally by: Drizit I think we can conclude that it comes down to several factors:
Online Time: Or rather, lack thereof. Some players may not be able to have the online time to meet the demands of the alliances.
Politics: Some just don't want to get involved in political squabbles over territory.
Enjoyment Preference: PVP is fine but some just want to trade, build, mine etc and not get into combat at all.
Requirements: Nobody wants to be anybody's slave and many alliances treat newer players and corps that way. (Note that I don't say ALL before you flame me about yours).
Skill: A lot of alliances don't like noobs or low skilled players. Again, Not ALL.
This. Also I'd like to point out, since its been discussed last couple of pages, that not everybody has enough time or desire to float between 0.0 alliances before they find one they like. It is after all a game, and most folks who have trouble doing what they enjoy will either go back to what they were doing before (highsec in this case) or find another game. Hence why a lot of people have a bad .0 experience or two and then spend the rest of their days in empire space. _________________ [IMAGE REMOVED] -- aka Cpt Bogus -- Is that my torped sig cloaking your base?

We established several pages ago that he didn't know what "Ignorant" means, even though he linked the description.
To which he said we were ignorant

This is a terrible post and you are a terrible poster
I generally agree with this reply especially since the part with the school is difficult to understand. The rest has my approval.
Originally by: Ki An I think most of us aren't in 0.0 because there people get shot at and it's immoral to shoot people.
This a very important point! If it should be irony I'd like to turn it into a serious sense.
Also I need to tell the following story:
Once for a while my unskilled alt was flying on Autopilot with his Reaper through the south border regions of the Universe because he wanted to know how those ultra-long jumps in this area would feel. Suddenly someone in local was crying: "WHERE IS YOUR PASSPORT???" My alt was confused and didn't understand what the guy was requesting for. In his confusion he answered: "My Reaper is flying quite well without a passport." "LEAVE THIS REGION IF YOU DON'T WANNA DIE!" local was shouting. Then my alt jumped into the next system but the voice was following him. The hunter wasn't successful since my alt's Reaper was shot into pieces by an NPC pirate at the next gate. He decided to fly home to Empire, with Autopilot of course because it was a long journey he had to go. Somewhere someone in a Wolf scrambled his egg and killed this poor guy sending him back into the clone station. Via mail he was complaining about his death because he was in an unarmed pod without the intention to attack anybody. He threatened the Wolf pilot with setting his personal standing to -6.0 and also to place a justification for this bad standing which would hit the reputation of the killer seriously. The murderer only replied by mail: "You're welcome!" It became clear to my alt that his menace wasn't taken serious and so he did what he announced to make a example of what can happen with someone who acts in an immoral way!
Now you know what I mean.

Last time I went into 0.0 a bunch of jackasses in interceptors chased me through a bunch of systems. Next time I'll prolly lose my pod and my ship. Why would I want to go back? I doubt I could get any kind of material OUT of 0.0.... maybe just fatten my wallet but nothing else. -- You can't do that with a Planet. |

You're right. It's impossible to get anything of value out of 0.0
Quick! Buy Zydrine and Megacyte! Pay whatever it takes to stock up before prices go even higher!
CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that. |
