Maybe we can do this in a poll-like fashion. If you like this idea hit the like button on this post. If you think this is a bad idea, hit the like button on the post below. That way we can "poll" the forum-base.
I'm curious to how many players think that getting rid of the "warp-to-zero" option for gates and station would make gameplay more interesting and fun, or less interesting and more a pain.
The concept would be to get rid of the warp to zero option for all gates and stations. Instajump bookmarks would not work as well because a sortof 'warp-distruption' bubble would exist around the stations and gates which automatically drops ships out of warp at the 15km point.
Like this post if you like this idea. The reason to like this idea are
1. Gate-camping would be even more effective.
2. Easier to patrol your claimed territor because you can catch intruders more easily
3. Hi-sec War declarations would be more fun and effective because you have more opprotunity to 'catch' your enemies
4. Hi-sec suicide ganking would be more common
5. It would multiple the advantage of smaller faster ships as more useful than larger ships.
6. Other.
These are all basically pro-pvp reasons |

Like *this* post if you think that getting rid of warp-to-zero would be a bad idea and make the game less fun.
The reason to not like this idea are.
1. Travel times would be longer. Much, much longer in larger ships.
2. Hi-sec suicide ganking would be easier and more common.
3. Breaking through low sec and null sec gate camps would be harder.
4. Avoiding warring oponents would be harder.
5. Other
These are basically anti-pvp reason.

How about keep it as it is.
Seem to remember there was no warp to 0 around 2005. 30 jumps back then was a far more boring that it is today when you're not afk.
Although I was out of the game at the time warp to 0 was introduced I believe it was introduced to reduce lag, at least that's what I heard. |

I do wish people would stop trying to change the game to work GÇÿtheir wayGÇÖ and not just play the game as it is.
When I started playing the message was GÇÿAdapt or DieGÇÖ and this is how the game should be played. Most of the posts from GÇÿI donGÇÖt like this aspect of the game change itGÇÖ, is because they canGÇÖt be bothered to do just that.
I donGÇÖt like some aspects of PI but its CCPGÇÖs game and unless the problem is a real bug or major game changing problem that needs to be dealt with I just work around it and carry on playing.
Stop trying to change my game, if you donGÇÖt like it the way it is, go play something else until it becomes GÇÿyourGÇÖ game.
Sorry but threads like this just drive me up the wall, think yourself lucky you have a game like this to even play, my first game was GÇÿColossal CavesGÇÖ and you had to type everything in to answer questions like GÇÿThere is a door E, N and SGÇÖ.

That said I think this is a bad idea.Orca and freighter pilots will hate this. Battleships become even less favoured because slowness is more apparent, not that they are that popular to begin with. It reduces the eagerness to go solo in lowsec and might drop even more new players from trying as there is no way one can survive a quick run. And of course more blobs because you can't be sure if there's a blob waiting. |

Its not a pretty thought thinking about what it would be like to go back to the days where everybody has over a thousand bookmarks just for getting from gate to gate.
If this was implemented as proposed by the OP, I predict an in-game riot. This is wrong on so many levels, I wouldn't even know where to begin the mammoth task of rebutting this foolishness.

Yes, a bubble, will take down any ship that approaches. I don't think that there are any gates so perfectly lined up that they will take down each other's traffic.
