Great news here: (tidied and edited a tiny bit for readability).
A number of modules had their correct (Volumes) restored:
Large EMP Smartbomb I: 150m3 -> 50m3, Large Plasma Smartbomb I: 150m3 -> 50m3, Large Proton Smartbomb I: 150m3 -> 50m3, Energerized Adaptive Nano Membrane I: 100m3 -> 25m3, 250mm Railgun I: 50m3 -> 25m3, Small Hull Repairer I: 100m3 -> 12.5m3, Heavy Neutron Blaster I: 100m3 -> 25m3, 800mm Steel Plates I: 100m3 -> 50m3 The 10mn Afterburner I had its volume reduced to 25m3
This will help salvagers considerably. Thanks.

"Loot in the mission Angel Extravaganza has been updated as well as the overseer structure being removed from it."
Does this mean that AE is back? ( I haven't seen it since Trininty was introduced.)
Removing the overseer is presumably a sign that it was being farmed too much and over supplying goodies, but even without that, AE is an important supply of Trit bars, which have been in short supply in recent months.

So, does the Apoc get a tracking or an optimal bonus? I do hope it is an optimal bonus.

Well if your serious about that turret tracking bonus on the Apoc you almost gave it a real bonus? Last time I checked laser did alright tracking, could have used the optimal range boost to make it a real bonus and a unique role. At this rate you should just make it a cruise missile ship.

Very good patch
However, I'm surprised... I see nowhere a modification about the volume of the Gas Cloud Harvester.
Is it normal that the Gas Cloud Harvester have volume 100 m3 (since the Trinity patch, before it was 5 m3), and all named Gas Cloud Harvester have always the volume of 5 m3 ?

Originally by: CCP Wrangler Basically, if a thread is posted in a forum it will show up as the most recent post in that forum. If we post it in another forum and then move it, the thread will not show up. The reason for this is that it was the way the forums were programmed to work.
So, we have our own secret forum you can't see. For convenience, we post the thread there at first. That way we can prepare the pot in advance and tweak it and everything. This is great if I for example want Saint or Navigator or someone else to make a post, but I need it to become public when they're not there.
Either way, this is how it works and that is why we do things this way. I don't know if that makes sense to you but it does to me.
It makes sense to me also. However, I find it hard enough to work out what posts are actually new when coming to the information portal as-is - The stickies aren't in great order - newest (usually most relevant) is at the bottom, and some stuff for events that have passed (live dev blog, f.ex) are still stickied.
Personally, I look instantly at the last post date on the information portal the second I land on the forum main page to see if there have been any important announcements. But these days I have to browse the list, which may shift around based on the last person to reply, and work out if anything new has really been posted
And yes, I realise I sound like a grumpy old fart, but maybe an 'information archive' section of stuff that's no-longer stickied or something to clear up the mess?
Edit: Another suggestion might be to add dating of posts for CCP members, so when the posts do get shifted, they can resync the post time to 'now', so it'll still show as the most recent thread in this section too. I don't know how hard that would be in asp, but its super easy in php ================

Edited by: Roemy Schneider on 09/03/2008 02:42:08 * and there i was hoping for a boost to blood raider ships.
* or the scimitar with its exploding signature when using extenders * or at least trade some CPU for PG - those pg requirements for large transporters (II) just don't go together with the minnie-tank of mwd-and-an-extender - let alone the large peroxide batteries, the armor guys can so conveniantly use (along with their rigs -.-) not if im supposed to speed tank properly with those remaining low-slots anyway. iow - fitting stats have not been altered according to the previous logistics buff.
+1 missiles bays for scimi and basi +1 turret bay for oneiros and guardian (what...? they don't have any damage bonus anyway)
btw, does drone interfacing apply to maintenance bots?
* some balancing within the astronautic rigs and/or their module counterparts (aka in-line with the general "1 rig = + T2 mod")
(guess, what ships i fly most ^^)
* some kind of buff to the "real" transporter ships (occator, impel, bustard, mastodon) - (massively) inferior to iteron V in weight, cargo, warp speed and speed (well okokok mwd is possible, but the weight... *hiss*), all of which affect their role "transportation". the good stuff doesnt change much when you're under fire :o - putting the gist back into logistics |

Now that the patch notes are out, I see a humongous number of fixes, typoes corrected, and the balance changes that have been talked about.
The damage resist changes will take some getting used to, but we shall ada...er, whine a lot.
Anyways, grats on the huge number of bug fixes. Keep it up, lovin' it.

So can someone please explain the logic behind Tracking Disruptors now affecting two stats at the same time (falloff and optimal)? Isn't this counter to the very point of scripts, that a module would only be able to affect one stat effectively?
Also where are the counters, the +falloff scripts for Tracking Computers and the +falloff stat for Tracking Enhancers? Falloff rigs don't cut it. Seriously, this could be a pretty hardcore nerf to a lot of Autocannon boats if it goes through as is.

I'd like to know the spesific changes that are being made to Remote ECM Burst production/compression. Is it purely a build time fix or does it involve changing mineral composition/module size? This is a rather important question that I'd preferably like to know the answer to before the patch is live ;-)

"Ship resistances have been changed as detailed in Zulupark's Blog"
Well, so much for the "nerf free" patch we were promised.
Also, this flies DIRECTLY in the face of popular opinion. The numbers tallied from this thread were as follows: (at the time of polling there are 980 posts) 274 posts, or 27.9% were for the changes as proposed by the devs. 318 posts, or 32.4% were undecided, unsure, deleted by forum mods, or proposed handling the situation in a much different way than proposed by the devs. 388 posts, or 39.5% were directly opposed with the devs moving forward as they had originally proposed the resistance nerfs. The posts were tallied with an error margin of + or - 2%; with 0.2% of the posts falling outside the three listed types. (Yeah, I spent a couple of hours tallying these from random page samples and doing the math. I was THAT determined to finally have hard numbered proof that the devs don't listen to popular opinion.)
So much for the devs listening to the players. At least now there is concrete proof of that fact.
I guess the players NEED the council that is going to get elected to protect our interests up there in Iceland..... I just didn't know how BADLY they were needed until this moment.
Thanks for the MUCH needed, and ongoing, efforts with all the bugs devs. But, this mindless nerfing against the will of the player base has got to stop.

Quote: Special Ability: 10% bonus to Large Energy Turret capacitor use and 7.5% bonus to Large Energy Turret optimal range per level.
So it should be the range that it is getting.

This is gonna screw with the freighters undocking in a trade hub like jita. Can you at least remove this for freighters alone please?
Or have you tried warping off a freighter the undock point of jita with all the ships warping in etc - and bumping you off? Insta is almost a necessity there for warp :(

wtf
Why don't you just say you are not going to fix amarr/lasers in any meaningful way.
Back to training minmatar, passive shield, and missiles again, really don't want anymore cap out gunboats that can't fit a decent tank and mwd.

Originally by: Sosik Hi CCP,
I just listened to the live dev blog from a while back - you know - the one where some people asked questions about "Amarr Fix?" and the devs replied in a cute voice: "Boost Patch!". Yeah, you remember don't you.
I'm just curious, but are there are any Amarr fixes planned for this patch? Because so far all I see is a nerf to the apoc by making it even more cap unstable, an extra turret slot on the zealot that cant realistically be used because of powergrid issues, and some resist changes that benefit all the races, minmatar the most.
You guys had some really good ideas going on the test server with the apoc finally having a ship role as a sniper, but it seems to have been changed to a tracking bonus, without even having been tested. What was the reasoning behind this?
So then, when can we expect to see a boost to Amarr? Is there a "Fix Amarr" patch just around the corner? I cant help but feel that - half way into Large Energy Turret V, and 2 shiny new apocs in my hangar later - a fix to the worst battleship in the game may have actually been a joke of epic proportions?
Thanks for reading.
