1 Questtion , if tracking disrupters will affect both optimal and fall-off , will enhancers do the same? If not u make fighting in fall-off outta web range a impossiblitiy and a lotta mimntar boats are gonna suffer.

In the "unofficial" patch notes the volume of some modules was adjusted. For example Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane I was reduced from 100m3 to 20m3 or so. Are these changes no longer in the patch?

Paddy's Prophecies, 13:52: Four weeks and three days from now, there shall be a great disturbance in the force, millions of secure containers screaming out in terror and suddenly silenced.
Just to satisfy my curiosity, I'd really like to see a short devblog afterwards giving some totals, e.g. how many deep space containers popped at once and how the lag averages responded.

and this: Fix Amarr powergrid issues with using Tachyon Beam Lasers Every race's battleships can use the "heavy" long range weapons, with minimal fitting modules / rigs, except for the Amarr.

I 100% agree, its outragous.
And whats more why are you changing the color of the PALADIN, It is fine as it is. To change it is a total waste of time , which could be well spent on more serious things and I know people that have bought due to its color. Patches are ment to be FIXES I cant see where the fix is, in changing a color of a very expensive ship just because you dont like it. You should put it to a vote from the pilots of a PALADIN rather than make a drastic change like this , that basicaly has no impact on any one apart from the Pilots of the ship.
I would just like to say that I've seen you guys in Kamda and thought about decc'ing you for a while.
Congratulations, you've made my decision for me. Pod you soon!

Some Serpentis deep space hacking sites had containers that where empty most of the time, that has now been fixed.
Does this include the Drone region Sites?
also I am very dissapointed to see only 4 entries for exploration, no new content or balancing of risk vs. reward

No I don't use windowed mode. Just a clean Classic EVE Install on an ASUS EeePC.
800x480 is recognized as the only fullscreen resolution which is very fine - no other resolutions can be choosen. I would miss that feature! :(
No chance to play it after the "Boost Patch"?

I don't think you appreciate how difficult software development can be - especially the release process. I work in the field and let me tell you that it is not an easy thing. The releases and testing that I have had to deal with are small in comparison to what CCP must go through!
It is much rather have them wait an extra day (or week, or month!) in order to have everything go smoothly than rush something out and risk a problem. Remember the boot.ini problem? I'm sure that somebody got their butt chewed out for that, and that CCP is spending more time and taking more care with their testing phase. This is a Good Thing.
If you're scheduling your life around the patch times of a video game... Maybe you should get involved in something else. Eve is a game - a fun one, but still a game - and it isn't worth getting upset over. Go outside, read a book. Go play something else if you can't be bothered to move from your chair.

Absolutely agree with your post though, deploying software on this scale is horribly difficult and it deserves mention that CCP are doing an excellent job of it ESPECIALLY in case of failure. The way they came clean after the boot.ini fiasco deserves kudos.

/me reads the code...
The resolution filtering is as follows: We start with the full list of available resolutions. Then all resolutions where either the width < 1024 or the height < 768 (was 600, that is the change made) are removed. (Also, all resolution where there is a refresh rate mismatch are removed.)
Finally the current desktop resolution is added back if it was removed in the previous filtering.
That's why your 800 x 480 desktop resolution shows up in the current client and it will continue to be available, as far as I can tell. I tested this on my laptop just now to make sure; 800 x 600 did not show up when my desktop was at 1680 x 1050 but was included when I dropped my desktop to 800 x 600.
I'll have this item in the release notes updated.

the "boosts" to amarr are so-so, if you really wanna boost amarr then add some new T2 crystals to modulate the damage output to, say, alpha waves that make armor/shield particles fiss and does EM/exp damage. or even a crystal to modulate into a proton beam doing EM/kin damage. and... as it is to get a decent tank and dps on, say, an abaddon you need 5 T2 cap mods and 3 cap rigs, not to mention that you basically cant fit 8 of any form of tachyon beam on it and still have any repair capacity. you can either die in a mission or choose to spend all day doing it very slowly. but, these are just my personal beefs. at least we amarr get something out of this patch, albeit very little. |

You're forgetting something if you're talking about the Apoc. The other tier-2 BS can INDEED fit their 6 (SIX!) or 7 (SEVEN!) heavy long range weapons (with the tempest being a bit special), and so can the Apoc. The Apoc however, has the OPTION of fitting an EIGHTH (!) heavy weapon, and not only that, with the right skills it's probably the hardest hitting heavy weapon in the game!
My primary PvP BS is the Apoc, and this boost is so good I can't get my arms down atm.!
Really, the whining in this thread is reaching monumental proportions!

Planning anything important in game during patch week is probably not a good idea.
One day doesn't make any difference in any software testing process. If the devs of any software product one day before deployment think more testing is needed, most likely several WEEKS more testing is needed!
This seems like a rush-job where changes are made to the last moment and released mostly untested (which is fairly normal for the SW industry, but still not really desirable).....

We will be doing database backup, database update, server code deployment, database maintenance and database DT jobs from 02:15 until 11:45 GMT.
All that AND improvements to the database to make adding extra "stuff" easier is all good. And basically what you're saying is that New Eden is a very very very large database full of stuff.
Apart from several caldari and amarr ship types being changed (I'm not going to use the word improved until I actually use them - oh how I wish I had a lap top so I can check out the test server) I'm really loving the dustmen/women of New Eden. I hope historic wrecks survive of course, but generally GSC's in 0.1 and above that hasn't been activated in 30 days has to go.
Thank you guys, that's the one thing pod pilots over 3 years old has been screaming for. Remove the damn cans from the asteroid belts. Yeah 30 days and a couple of hours to see who's truly in the neighbourhood.

Originally by: Patch Notes Kill mails will no longer list the ship owning fighters if the fighters have been assigned to another ship. The ship with fighters assigned to it will be displayed in the kill mail instead.
Could you explain the reason behind this change, please?
As i understand it, carrier pilots will not be credited for their participation in any documentable way from now on.
Yes, i understand, receiving KMs by carrier pilots when their fighters score a final blow may upset someone. But why do you deny them all credit altogether? Why not let them into KM as contributors to a kill?
Or did i read patch notes wrong?
Edit: Let me guess, this change is approved by Zulupark? I know, he hates us, carrier pilots OK, i did some research on the subject, it appears that Zulupark has nothing to do with this change.
Donathan Slade proposed it here, and CCP Garthagk approved. I think this change was made in order to give a correct figure of total damage inflicted by players controlling the fighters and rank them correctly in killmails. The side effect of this is: carrier pilots get dropped from killmails completely. Not fair, i think.
