Tranquility will undergo an extended downtime on Tuesday, 11 March. The start time is 0200 GMT and the length of the downtime is expected to be fourteen hours. During this time, a patch will be applied to Trinity consisting of fixes and improvements.
Patch Notes will be made available over the weekend. Updates to the notes will be added as more items are cleared through the Quality Assurance process. These updates will be highlighted with green text. Please keep all patch discussion in this forum thread.
Please note: Training a long learning duration skill ending after the scheduled return to service is recommended.

This was the case too for the last few dev blogs and the quarterly econ blog.
Just curious.
We've been preparing these announcements ahead of time and just move them in here when we're ready to announce things.

Thanks.. yea I know but that answer didn't make sense.
I hardly think they prep'ed the OP (5 lines of txt) beforehand.. and then publish when ready.. really?
Since 'forever' I have used the forum index page to see if new topics are posted, and since they brought out the information portal I used the index page to see if there is anything of interest. Since the new year it's been hit and miss, and erratic, from my point of view anyway.
I was just curious.
Looking forward to the patch notes, and to a lesser extent patch day

Basically, if a thread is posted in a forum it will show up as the most recent post in that forum. If we post it in another forum and then move it, the thread will not show up. The reason for this is that it was the way the forums were programmed to work.
So, we have our own secret forum you can't see. For convenience, we post the thread there at first. That way we can prepare the pot in advance and tweak it and everything. This is great if I for example want Saint or Navigator or someone else to make a post, but I need it to become public when they're not there.
Either way, this is how it works and that is why we do things this way. I don't know if that makes sense to you but it does to me.

The original schedule called for a release in early Feb but there were issues in the localisation process that we had to sort out and then there was the the Alliance Tournament in early Mar. So 11 Mar it is. We used the extra time well for additional bug fixes.
Underneath the hood in EVE Online: Trinity 1.1 are massive database changes that will allow for more rapid and frequent delivery of new content in the future, such as new missions. Therefore we are doing an off-line backup of the database, like we do when deploying expansion, and that explains the start time.

Oh did they keep that -4 to raptor grid thing...well it always had to fit a MAPC before, so might as well keep it that way I geuss. I always thought it odd it already had -5 grid compared to the caldari missile interceptor, but just means the thing will still be cheap because it won't be much better. Good old suicide tackler. Can't complain too much though, the rest of the changes seem nice.

Hiya, Well done, I think I can honestly say we have all been waiting for this. For future can we let the community know that there is going to be delays and a rough approximtion ( or did I and others misss it) i see loads of posts asking what happened to the boost patch, but no reponses.
Thrilled to bits that its here now.. With regard to Af's / Drone Ships as well as the already changed ships on sisi, have we had any alterations? or have these been scrapped for the time being.. if so.. any ideas on when these may be implemented.. i.e. are we waiting another 3 months roughly?
Dont mind, would just like to know what is happening.. a rough idea would be kewl...
Thanks Guys

But, anticipating another patch with a bunch more and many of which will be unneeded buffs to Caldari, a smattering of buffs for Amarr but still no overall fix for lazor suckage (oh well thanks for the few fixes, better than nothing which has happened to Amarr on too many recent patches), and over the top nerfs to gallente
Please pleasantly surprise me one of these patches. I do love the game.

That's a pretty ill-thought statement. Sure, it's the only way to stop lag without fixing anything. If CCP could just admit there are problems, then they could start fixing it. A stressed node running the game at half speed would be able to support twice the numbers, but my, just desyncing half of the players works so well, why change anything.

Be positive huh? Ok. Lemme give this a try. Here goes: I guess this so-called "Boost" patch is better than the wildly-careening-crazy-out-of-cotrol nerftrain we have been on for the past 18 months or more. Though I am POSITIVE the nerftrain hasn't fully gone off the tracks into total wreck status yet; and that it WILL return eventually.
There. See? I am positive about something.

ok a Rundown for you guy's:
-------------------------- As jump freighters don't have any slots it was pretty straight forward to "boost" them. Essentially there were just a few things we could tinker with. Increased cargo hold, better survivability, range boost on the jump drive, decrease fuel consumption or more agility to align faster at gates.
In the end we decided to bestow upon them:
A 25% bonus to their base cargo hold capacity More agility, by changing the 5% velocity bonus to an agility bonus More survivability, by making the 10% hull hit point bonus, also apply to shield and armor A decreased fuel cost by increase the jump fuel need per level bonus to 10% We also made them a bit easier to manufacture, increasing the max production runs on their blueprints to 10 runs. -------------------------------- Better EWAR notification Our current EWAR notification is not good enough in my opinion. You can see that someone is jamming you but you can't get that information easily. You can't differentiate between RSD, TD and TP. I don't think I need to list the shortcomings here; I guess you're all familiar with them. We wanted to improve combat awareness for players and this change is the first step in that direction. We decided to use the existing overview to display EW states. When someone uses either an EWAR module or propulsion jamming module on you, an icon is displayed in the corresponding overview entry. The types are aggregated so if "Joe" is using 4 sensor dampeners on you you only get one icon. Also lacking is a gauge of how much effect the EW is having on you.
Currently the default settings is to have all this turned "Off". Although people have varying opinion about default settings, I think most will agree that the default should be "On". To turn them on, you need to go to you overview settings, open the appearance tab and change the settings in the EWAR sub-tab. ----------------------- Omen: 5 turrets (+1 turret) Zealot: 5 turrets (+1 turret)
Apocalypse:
Fitting: 505tf, 20500mw (+5tf, +1000mw) Capacitor capacity: 7500en (+25%) Bonuses: 10% reduction in large energy turret capacitor usage per Amarr Battleship level (no change) 7.5% bonus to large energy turret optimal range per Amarr Battleship level (replaces the 5% capacitor capacity bonus)
Moa: 5 turrets (+1) Eagle: 5 turrets (+1) The power outputs of the Moa and Eagle are sufficient to setup a 5 turret railgun platform so no further changes were need. However the Ferox lacks the power output to properly support an additional turret and has thus been increased. Ferox:
Hardpoints: 6 turrets (+1) Power output: 1075mw (+75mw)
Raptor:
Hardpoints: 3 turrets (+1) Power output: 26mw (-4mw)
Tracking Disruptors Finally we have added a falloff modifier to the Tracking Disruptors. The Optimal Range Disruption ARM script has been change to modify both optimal range and falloff. The reason for this change is the Tracking Disruptors are largely ineffective against blasters and auto cannons which have a high tracking speeds and large falloffs. Disrupting the optimal range does not affect them in any significant way and tracking disruption is not very effective either because of the large falloff. By allowing the Optimal Range Disruption script to affect falloff as well, Tracking Disruptors can be used effectively to reduce the range of blasters and auto cannons. Skills and bonuses that affect the effectiveness of Tracking Disruptors have been changed to also affect the falloff.
And the Minmatar are FINALY getting their welll deserved NERF (the rest just aswell though) Various EM resistance value's will drop with ~10% on all shield and armor
*Sig under construction*

by the way people it starts from 0200 Tuesday morning (Monday night) until 1600 Tuesday afternoon.
Still a long damn time, but more in line with the US TZ than the Euro zone. I think they've always done it like this when it's going to be 12 hours or more.
And yes, most people have been around long enough to realize that a patch time estimate has never (or extremely rarely) gone without a hitch, so add on an extra days training just in case.
Can't wait to read all the patch notes to justify closing it down for 14 hours. Surely a back up first doesn't add that much to the time frame does it?

They need to work or multi threading the Eve client. There's no reason for the frame rate to drop well below 5 fps because the market window you have open needs to be updated first after you jump a gate.

I think the changes they're making to the market window will take care of that. It's getting a decent facelift.

No love for sensor damps and gallente recon?
I remember zulupark mentioning that they hadn't even thought about the effect the sensor damp nerf would have to these ships, however the problem might be fixed with improved scripts coming with the boost patch. This was a while ago but I haven't seen anything mentioned about it since |

"Loot in the mission Angel Extravaganza has been updated as well as the overseer structure being removed from it."
Does this mean that AE is back? ( I haven't seen it since Trininty was introduced.)
Removing the overseer is presumably a sign that it was being farmed too much and over supplying goodies, but even without that, AE is an important supply of Trit bars, which have been in short supply in recent months.

However, I'm surprised... I see nowhere a modification about the volume of the Gas Cloud Harvester.
Is it normal that the Gas Cloud Harvester have volume 100 m3 (since the Trinity patch, before it was 5 m3), and all named Gas Cloud Harvester have always the volume of 5 m3 ?

Originally by: CCP Wrangler Basically, if a thread is posted in a forum it will show up as the most recent post in that forum.
It makes sense to me also. However, I find it hard enough to work out what posts are actually new when coming to the information portal as-is - The stickies aren't in great order - newest (usually most relevant) is at the bottom, and some stuff for events that have passed (live dev blog, f.ex) are still stickied.
Personally, I look instantly at the last post date on the information portal the second I land on the forum main page to see if there have been any important announcements. But these days I have to browse the list, which may shift around based on the last person to reply, and work out if anything new has really been posted
And yes, I realise I sound like a grumpy old fart, but maybe an 'information archive' section of stuff that's no-longer stickied or something to clear up the mess?
Edit: Another suggestion might be to add dating of posts for CCP members, so when the posts do get shifted, they can resync the post time to 'now', so it'll still show as the most recent thread in this section too. I don't know how hard that would be in asp, but its super easy in php ================

* or the scimitar with its exploding signature when using extenders * or at least trade some CPU for PG - those pg requirements for large transporters (II) just don't go together with the minnie-tank of mwd-and-an-extender - let alone the large peroxide batteries, the armor guys can so conveniantly use (along with their rigs -.-) not if im supposed to speed tank properly with those remaining low-slots anyway. iow - fitting stats have not been altered according to the previous logistics buff.
+1 missiles bays for scimi and basi +1 turret bay for oneiros and guardian (what...? they don't have any damage bonus anyway)
btw, does drone interfacing apply to maintenance bots?
* some balancing within the astronautic rigs and/or their module counterparts (aka in-line with the general "1 rig = + T2 mod")
(guess, what ships i fly most ^^)
* some kind of buff to the "real" transporter ships (occator, impel, bustard, mastodon) - (massively) inferior to iteron V in weight, cargo, warp speed and speed (well okokok mwd is possible, but the weight... *hiss*), all of which affect their role "transportation". the good stuff doesnt change much when you're under fire :o - putting the gist back into logistics |

So can someone please explain the logic behind Tracking Disruptors now affecting two stats at the same time (falloff and optimal)? Isn't this counter to the very point of scripts, that a module would only be able to affect one stat effectively?
Also where are the counters, the +falloff scripts for Tracking Computers and the +falloff stat for Tracking Enhancers? Falloff rigs don't cut it. Seriously, this could be a pretty hardcore nerf to a lot of Autocannon boats if it goes through as is.

"Ship resistances have been changed as detailed in Zulupark's Blog"
Well, so much for the "nerf free" patch we were promised.
Also, this flies DIRECTLY in the face of popular opinion. The numbers tallied from this thread were as follows: (at the time of polling there are 980 posts) 274 posts, or 27.9% were for the changes as proposed by the devs. 318 posts, or 32.4% were undecided, unsure, deleted by forum mods, or proposed handling the situation in a much different way than proposed by the devs. 388 posts, or 39.5% were directly opposed with the devs moving forward as they had originally proposed the resistance nerfs. The posts were tallied with an error margin of + or - 2%; with 0.2% of the posts falling outside the three listed types. (Yeah, I spent a couple of hours tallying these from random page samples and doing the math. I was THAT determined to finally have hard numbered proof that the devs don't listen to popular opinion.)
So much for the devs listening to the players. At least now there is concrete proof of that fact.
I guess the players NEED the council that is going to get elected to protect our interests up there in Iceland..... I just didn't know how BADLY they were needed until this moment.
Thanks for the MUCH needed, and ongoing, efforts with all the bugs devs. But, this mindless nerfing against the will of the player base has got to stop.

-4 grid will gimp any setup into using named t1 or faction modules, and I have all the shiny skills like AWU etc at 5. Please change this, otherwise the price of named MAPC's is going to asplode.
Gallente used to have a T2 shuttle, it was the Ares.
Originally by: Sosik Hi CCP,
I just listened to the live dev blog from a while back - you know - the one where some people asked questions about "Amarr Fix?" and the devs replied in a cute voice: "Boost Patch!". Yeah, you remember don't you.
I'm just curious, but are there are any Amarr fixes planned for this patch? Because so far all I see is a nerf to the apoc by making it even more cap unstable, an extra turret slot on the zealot that cant realistically be used because of powergrid issues, and some resist changes that benefit all the races, minmatar the most.
You guys had some really good ideas going on the test server with the apoc finally having a ship role as a sniper, but it seems to have been changed to a tracking bonus, without even having been tested. What was the reasoning behind this?
So then, when can we expect to see a boost to Amarr? Is there a "Fix Amarr" patch just around the corner? I cant help but feel that - half way into Large Energy Turret V, and 2 shiny new apocs in my hangar later - a fix to the worst battleship in the game may have actually been a joke of epic proportions?
Thanks for reading.

Text has been added to the standings tab in the character sheets, explaining that NPC Police do not take into account standings modified by skills such as diplomacy.
Does this mean the mechanic has been changed so that if you're -5 or lower unmodified to a faction, they'll start shooting you regardless of your actual standing with Diplomacy applied?
Or are you clarifying that Security Status is not affected by Diplomacy?

Salvaging All NPC wrecks in missions will now belong to the character who accepted the mission, no matter who killed the NPC.
Why is this being done and will that affect flagging (or rather no flagging) when salvaging other peoples wrecks in missions ?

What have you been smoking? You need to read more carefully. Amarr a NOT getting EXP crystals. That was just one of the ideas thrown out as a POSSIBLE change suggested by the players. The devs are NOT going that route.

So my thoughts about the patch......
Fixes and Corrections: Great. Hope they all work as intended and these new "fixes" don't break more stuff like they normally do. Wondering why it took SO LONG to get to some of the more critical ones, but whatever. Please speed along any more fixes in the works; there are still many game elements in dire need of attention.
The "Boost" part of the patch: Words fail to express, so:
As far as I can see, the ONLY ship type that got much of a useful (but not the one that was most requested by the players) boost are the Jump Freighters. You know, the ones that only the uber-rich can afford to fly in the first place. So, that left the rest of us with what, exactly?
Some nerfed ships? Nothing new about that I guess. CCP has been at that for months. Would have been better if they left well enough alond rather than this hack job. But, its not like they are going to undo it. So no use going on about it I guess....
Fixes that should have been out a lot sooner considering they were broke while attempting to fix other things. Well.... better than nothing I guess.
Sorry, I just have to say: I mean, seriously, extra slots without enough extra grid or CPU to support them? That's about as useful as a third nipple on a guy.....
Out.

Not crying because of changes but because I can see the totally wrong points that "devels" do. And it screams "We didn't play the game, we haven't EVER played that strange game that we don't even understand". I will adapt but the changes are brainless and the point of devels are ... pointless ;)

Fantastic .
Though the ability to convert a chat channel or indeed extend this openess to a chat channel then inter-corp co-ordination and the like as well as offering very large alliances some level of control would be most apprecieated. Given could password that channel you automaticly have the ability to password open gangs and that then enables you to have roles (gleemed from say the chat channel roles perhaps) so people can automaticly move back into a wing or squad command position totaly negating the whole area or issues of premature server induced relog and the like.

not true. If CCP rewrites the damm game engine to be able to effectively multy task (i.e multithread on same system, andif possible using distributed processors on same system) and therefore droping python to where it belongs (aways form any server in world :P) then we might start to see proper performance increases.

This refers to where the first newly created character on a new account is placed when he/she first is placed in the game world directly after character creation (related to the new player tutorial).

Right....you do understand how much FAIL this made you look?
I don't disagree on the changes to the Caldari ships, but: That it took you OVER a YEAR? Jezuz. Is this what is to be expected when you break one of your concept or don't make it feasible enough to actually use? Not to mention that when i started to play this game there were NONE named Shield Transporters. Which are pretty much required for one in order to make a feasible setup. Due to the absurd CPU use of the ST,s.
Just to clarify for those that don't understand/know the concept: Several Caldari ships have this layout, x number of turret/launcher hardpoints and then 2 free. It's so due to the clear mid slot tackling deficiency. Now, it doesn't make much sense to fill those two slots up with 2 Shield Transporters on those ships due to the cap use of 2 Large ones or the CPU/PG use of two Med compared to a single Large, which reps the same amount over time, but ofc you can't distribute like 2. Not to mention the laughable dmg it makes compared to a ass raping Brutix/Thorax.
Hopefully you go thru ur **** so i or any other don't have to come here and rant about it and make you look bad.
I also like to tell my concern about the Curse and TD,s in general. It's effective operation up close got fked since the introduction of scrips. I can only guess you did so in order to further reduce lag and not because of it was overpowered. As now, if you try and use the "Can't hit for ****, because his/my tracking is fked" principle with TD,s loaded with Tracking Speed impairing scripts(ooohhh), you'll probably most likely get toasted once the target activates his mwd by cap injecting. Where once upon EVE:O life it wouldn't toast you as bad, as he got beyond his guns optimal range. Try it out.
I hope you look more into it and make the right adjustments/changes etc. Yet i doubt it due and since the Steam proclamation.

While you're at it, can you look at the part where it said something about NPC faction police NOT being affected by the Diplomacy skill ? It makes little sense, since I'm pretty sure that they do. If they don't... then what the hell IS the condition to be "shot at" by faction police ? I mean, the base standings, since, apparently, effective standings don't matter.

Originally by: Natalia Kovac So can someone please explain the logic behind Tracking Disruptors now affecting two stats at the same time (falloff and optimal)? Isn't this counter to the very point of scripts, that a module would only be able to affect one stat effectively?
Also where are the counters, the +falloff scripts for Tracking Computers and the +falloff stat for Tracking Enhancers? Falloff rigs don't cut it. Seriously, this could be a pretty hardcore nerf to a lot of Autocannon boats if it goes through as is.
Answer my question.

Well i personaly love the new Apoc. And i love the fact i crossed train amarr. The point is, to all those whiners out there, that cap stability is the amarr drawback. If lazers ever become cap stable i want 1s reload time and no reload to my hybrids as well! There is a significant uproar for races to stay deferent and not get everything being the same at the end of a nerf spree. So for the love of god understand that each f race has its pros and cons and stop writing BS. Thanks :)

Can we please get specifics on the ECM Burst change before that? It has the potential of costing a lot of people a lot of money.
The blueprint job times were too low being equivalent to normal modules and have been changed to capital class module production and research job times.
Are currently installed jobs affected by this change?

While you are at it, go ahead and drop all the nerfs that were voted against by the player base to being with, especially the resist nerfs that were supposed to come in with 1.1. Better yet, drop the resist nerfs all together because "nerfing" something as an effort to "boost" something else is just moronically stupid, tbh.
I look forward to seeing the good news when the notes come back up.

Edited by: Kayleigh Lothian on 09/03/2008 23:59:41 Hmmm, almost all modules have a counter module. A MWD is countered by a web. If someone sensor damp locking range you can use a sensor booster. Tracking computers - tracking disruptors. WCS - moar points...
But now you bring out a script to screw with fall-off and the thing to counter this new script is what, the rig? (Then the powergrid also should get a script that screws the power grid on a ship, which would be a pretty funny module when stuff randomly goes off-line)
I hope this means that there will be a script to the tracking computer that effects fall-off now, not just tracking or optimal range. So far I have failed to see this script mentioned, if it has been, please point me to the place.

All I care about is getting the trinity torp range fixed to actually hit the distance it is supposed to (flight time x velocity). The BH said it would be fixed in Trinity 1.1 but it wasn't on the first list. Who cares about the explosion glitch I just want my month worth of pure range skills to actually work ): Oh and for you who think that I'm not calculating the targets velocity... your wrong. As far as I was told by the BH my math (which included the target's velocity) was correct.
PLEASE FIX MY TRINITY TORPS!!!!
P.S. For all of you who like to read last sentences and post a reply stating how the trinity torp changes are fine, I agree. This is a glitch in the newer short range (ie- Trinity) torps hitting even shorter than they should.

We did careful tests of torp ranges with a corp mate. I can confirm what HeavyGunz is saying. Currently there is some kind of glitch with torp ranges. Something is not factored in, not sure if it's skills, flight time, velocity, implants, stacking penalties or rigs. Ingame tests give different results than flight time x velocity from ship fitting screen. (HeavyGunz, who or what is BH?)

Not to mention that any "Triple A" game requires millions in funding and takes a team of one hundred 2 years or more. And even after that it likely makes a loss, which is why sequels are so popular with publishers (They generally sell less, but cost an order of magnitude less to make, so actually make a profit).
Most MMOs go by the same formula: Sequels (expansion packs) or go bust. MMOs like EVE that don't charge for expansions, but still have them (so the game doesn't get stale) aren't common. An MMO server is expensive to maintain after all.

slightly OT, but, being a bit of newb, thought a quick question and quick answer might not go a miss - on the issue of training a skill that wont finish in the downtime tomo, i've got one that finishes about 10am, so would like to get something else going before TQ goes down... the thing is, by pausing the skill i'm currently training in, when i go back to it, do i pick up the training exactly where i paused it or does it reset to 0%?
or have i missed what the comment:
Please note: Training a long learning duration skill ending after the scheduled return to service is recommended.
...was about? are they saying i should set a really long training time skill to go before it goes offline?
i'm confused..

It will continue where you paused the skill.

You should set a skill that finishes long after the scheduled end of the downtime. A delayed server startup or reboots are not uncommon after a patch.

Fail at reading. Apoc keeps his Cap Advantage. It becomes inbuild and the old Bonus is replaced with a new one. Also new Fittings. Try a Abaddon and than think again about the Amarr Ships need the Cap Bonus to work right...

So does this "Boost" to Tracking Disruptors mean that we'll see a similar fix to the Sensor Dampeners that's practically killed the usefulness of the Celestis/Arazu/Lachesis?

Hi, I have some question too:
Sound: Can it be done that only the woman's sound be heard? If i increase the master volume to hear the voice what said: Warping, Docking, Jumping, etc... then all the warp sound and explosion sounds are getting louder, and they are really annoying. If i travel and i change task, i want to hear when i jump throught a gate or docking, but the other annoying sounds doesnt intresting me.
Marauders: These ships are not as powerful as other T2 ships. The AF is a lot useful then the T1 version of it, the HAC is a lot better then the T1 version of it, so why the Marauders are not better then the T1 Battleships? They can't do more dmg, and don't have better tank with the same damage. They have some useless bonus what peoples almost never use, but cost a lot more. So why are the Marauders so weak compared to the other T2 ships?
Jump Freighters: As the guys said before me, they are useless. They jump range are short, need too much fuel(3 times more as a dread or rorqual) and doesn't have a cargo to worth all the effort. If you compare the effectiveness of a rigged+expandered dread or rorqualwith the ujump freighter, then with the same ammount of fuel you can move almost twice as more cargo, and they are a lot of cheaper. The last dev blog how to boost them is a good starting point, but it won't be enough to make the ship usefull. What else the ccp plan to boost the jump freighters? Increase the range to the twice as now, or drasticaly decrease the fuel consuption, or increase the cargo a lot more?
Rorqual: Useless... The Industrial Core make the ship useless in a mining operation. The 5% bonus/lvl is a bonus only when the module is active else it doesn't apply to the miners, and that make the ship unmoveable. If some enemy jump in, then the ship lost. In a mining operation peoples need to warp to a safe place as soon as possible when enemy show up. Why can't be the bonus be active without the Module, its increase the ship's worth and broaden the usage of it.
Mining: The market is expanding... With the current capability of ice or moon mining the eve community hardly can self support itself. The current mining ships are almost reached they limit and the moons what contains good materials are all claimed. When will be the moon harvesters II be implemented? What kind of new mining ships are planning to implement to solve the problem, or how you want to boost the current mining system or ships to be more effective?

I reckon there is no patch notes as they are going to change prices, Maybe they have learnt from previous mistakes when they said the price of tractor beams was going to go up by factor of 10 in the patch notes and every one went out and got them self 10 tractor beam bpos each.
Or how about the time towers went up in price and every one went out and made billions by buying them in advance?
I reckon for them to be hiding the change there are going to drastically change the price of something and done want us to know till its to late, any one got any ideas as to what thou? ----------------------------------------------

You know what this does not sound too far fetched, i tend to make a fair bit of cash reading between the lines of patch changes, however if this is the case alot more people will be crying foul as still a small percentage of the population have seen the original patch notes before they were taken down.
I know for one i'm keen to see the patch notes to see if there is any money to be made. Though saying that i also dont mind ccp hiding certain things from patch note that stop people manupilating the market, as long as its a level playing field...

there has been mention of rescaling of the ships being done in an upcomeing patch very "Soon" were we shall see the frigates looking more like frigates with the cruisers battlecruisers and battleships being increased in size as well as the Carriers and motherhsips increased in size as at the moment when i put a frigate next to a cruiser.... there isnt to much difference there even when say the crusader looks like a one man fighter but an omen looks like a small city inside it when ya put them against each other it just doesnt look right.

CCP, no offense intended, but this is a pretty Mickey Mouse patching attempt and you haven't even started patching yet......
Should these patch notes not have been reviewed, confirmed, and written in stone days before the patch was even considered ready for TQ deployment?
Also, don't you have a private forum that these notes would have been up on for days for internal review? Or did somebody just post the wrong notes and delete the right ones and now you guys have no idea which changes are new as of this patch....?

I must say, that this "boost" patch does not really float my bubble. Some key issues, that have been left out:
- Amarr powergrid issues with using Tachyon Beam Lasers
Every race's battleships can use the "heavy" long range weapons, with minimal fitting modules / rigs, except for the Amarr.
- Pilgrim not looked at
Enough said.
- Resist change unnecessary in my opinion
EM damage is, in my eyes, the best damage to do in PVP. With all of my ship setups, EM damage is quite literally, my worst resist. Granted, no ship should have a natural 90% resist to any one damage however.
- The bright star
This should stay in the game in my opinion. Not only does it give good things to roleplay about, it also gives a reference point for people in the same gang, that are not together.
As I understand that not everything can be done in one patch, and I suspect this "boost" patch will come in 2, maybe 3 stages, here is what I would also like to see:
- Powergrid use of the Beam lasers reduced by 20%. This would be in-line with all other battleship long range weaponry.
- Cap recharge / cap amount built into the Amarr battleships, and a more useful bonus applied.
- Increase the capacitor recharge rate of the Pilgrim to 31.0 peak recharge rate. This will allow it to run 3 Energy Neutralizers and 2 Tracking disruptor's without capacitor failure.
- Increase the Pilgrim, Curse, Arazu, and Lachesis EWAR bonuses to 20% per level. This will help "un-nerf" the script nerfs that these ships experienced.
- Still cannot see the stats of drones that you have in the drone bay, with bonuses applied
- "Stuck" faction standings are not fixable, and takes away from the "sandbox" game. So I work for the Amarr Navy, then I want to defect to the Sanshas or Blood Raiders. Well, I can't.
- Low sec agents are not balanced out, and provides a mean to "farm isk and standings" easily.(Multiple high quality agents in the same station that give nothing but courier missions.)
- Level 5 missions still suck.
- Clear Video cache / memory cache still not in the game. This would at least help with the client side lag.
Armageddon: 5% bonus to rate of fire and 5% bonus to tracking speed. Apocalypse: 7.5% to optimal range and 5% bonus to falloff. Abaddon: (No change).

No, it means they're already going full speed when they undock, so if they warp towards something directly in front of them, they're effectively already aligned the second they undock, as I see it. So it actually makes it easier for them to warp off. ------------------ This sig space for sale. Want your ad here? Contact me ingame. |

The old behaviour was: Ship undocks at 700 m/s and 0¦, then slows down to 0 m/s (and stops).
The new behaviour will be: Ship undocks at 700 m/s and at a random angle inside a 15¦ cone, then slows down to its maximum speed (and maintains that speed).
The new behaviour is actually very similar to the original behaviour (the 15¦ cone is new). It was changed to having the ships stop because of tutorial issues. Since then the first tutorial has changed and since the reason no longer applies then we are going back to the original undocking behaviour. We believe it may help in alleviating congestion at busy stations.

I wish you would have taken pvp aspects into account.
This change makes camping stations easier as its near impossible for forces to rally without first being completely blown apart. Also it is possible that this distance could take them out of undocking range which if they had forgotten something or ships appear out fo nowhere could save their pods and their implants. This change has been screamed about by non griefing pvpers as it becomes far easier to camp stations.
I would like a reason as to why the zero sec implications of this were not taken into account it seems.

CCP i just wanted to say thank you for delaying the patch for further testing... i just hope 24 hours is enough... Perhaps you should do this with all your patches so my boot.ini file isnt deleted... or like... you know... the patch makes it so you cant log into eve... or something like that. Anyhow back on point... Thank you for delaying the patch for testing. Thats noble of you to do.

in regards to the undocking issue....
thats easily fixed. Use a scout, or just dont undock.
The docking games bs is just that... BS. you should not be able to just undock, sit there for 30 seconds, clog the ramp, then redock, and do it over and over and over.
Atleast now if someone is dumb enough to undock while camped, they will either go out of docking range, or stop and you can pew pew them for 10-25 seconds. My views and opinions are my own, not my corp or alliances.

Undock at the same time?
Quote: Also it is possible that this distance could take them out of undocking range which if they had forgotten something or ships appear out fo nowhere could save their pods and their implants.
If they come out of nowhere and kill you before you can get back into docking range, they did something right (or you did something wrong). I don't see that as a problem. Plenty of stations already kick you out outside of docking range anyway.
As for saving their pods, last time I checked losing your ship (and boarding your pod) counted as a session change, so you can't dock or jump for 30 seconds.
Regardless, the stupid dock/undock games are a far greater evil than anything resulting from this change.
Quote: This change has been screamed about by non griefing pvpers as it becomes far easier to camp stations.
And far harder to play docking games. Does either group really have the "moral high ground" to call the other group griefers?

How are 0.0 stations different from the others in a way that is relevant to this change?

A button allowing you to see outside the station (as if you were "flying" it) would be ace. It would disable all the station functions, since I believe space and station stuffs are on separate servers, but would let you take a peek outside, or even watch a battle unfold that you may not be equipped to take part in.

I believe this is incorrect, there seems to be a difference between TQ and sisi now. Dreads undocking from certain stations now (see bug report #54048 for details and screenshots) are unable to stop or redock before being outside docking range. This is not a problem on the same station on TQ right now from what I can gather. Something else seems to have changed.

Work it out! That's some time on Tuesday instead of Monday for the US. Whatever your timezone is.
My timezone is +13 so that is 2 + 13 = 15:00 or 3 PM on Wednesday. If your timezone is, say, -9 then that's 2 - 9 = 17:00 or 5 PM on Tuesday.

I 100% agree, its outragous.
And whats more why are you changing the color of the PALADIN, It is fine as it is. To change it is a total waste of time , which could be well spent on more serious things and I know people that have bought due to its color. Patches are ment to be FIXES I cant see where the fix is, in changing a color of a very expensive ship just because you dont like it. You should put it to a vote from the pilots of a PALADIN rather than make a drastic change like this , that basicaly has no impact on any one apart from the Pilots of the ship.

So now Gallente have to worry about both Explosive and EM resistances. It could be worst. Somewhow.
Now that you guys decided to rollback the changes made to the Deimos "based on negative feedback"... how about adopting the changes that the same feedback provided, over and over again? Instead of removing a low slot and adding a middle one, remove the useless high slot and add a medium one. Put the deimos with this layout: 5-4-6, and change the cpu and pg a bit so we can fit that cap booster ans still some neutrons :). Show Gallente some love on next patch. Please?

yes I did so? Dont you think that CCP had their staff were ready to do this work at 0200 tuesday, and could then they have made other arrangemnets so they would be availible. So this statement of yours.

actualy applies to CCP to.
and yes "each to their own", im sure that if most people had the chance of doing something one day but there was something that they had to do and had the ability to change things around , they also would do it. and when all the speeches and press and sites all say there will be extended down time on tues 11th from 0200 untill 1600 , thats exactly what many people will work on.

Ok so T2 Capital ship blueprintss will have a production limit of 10.
Atm that only affects Jump Freighters.
Will T1 Capital Blueprints also have their production limit upped to be in line with their T2 counterparts. or is capaital ships the only class where T2 has a larger production limit than T1?
In all other production classes the reverse is true. Have you thought through the game implications?

Yes, i understand, receiving KMs by carrier pilots when their fighters do a final blow may upset someone. But why do you deny them all credit altogether? Why not let them into KM as contributors to a kill?

To the people complaining that the patch got moved ahead a day...I understand how it can be frustrating when this happens but, would you rather a bugged patch got pushed to Tranquility instead? Delays happen, bugs get discovered and sometimes have to be fixed and schedules slip. That is the nature of MMO and software development in general. Planning anything important in game during patch week is probably not a good idea.
Regarding the patch notes, I noticed that "Empty containers are no longer created when emptying wrecks while salvaging." got removed. While not major, to be honest, this was one item I was really looking forward to having fixed.

You guys stated that it was no longer competetive with other HAC's due to the changes but nothing is done about it? The changes you proposed for the ship took it in the wrong direction(as you saw from the massive negative response). It was always designed to use its massive damage output as its main defence. The general idea is that you need just enough armor to get into blaster range and kill an enemy before he takes you out. If the deimos cannot do this effectivly it needs:
1)More Damage 2)More Armor 3)More Speed
Choose one of the above and fix it please. Preferably an armor hp buff.

All of these assertions have been proven pretty much False, except with certain "Kickout" Stations with which your already have an issue.
1.With the vast majority of stations even at 700m/s it can still take Full minute to get out of the docking ring. (So We will still have Undock Games)
2. The 15 degree exit cone has no appreciable effect on aliging to your Insta undock. You will already be at Max Veloctity (only 75% is needed ya know) and can insta warp. the Cone merely adds a slight Parabola to you warp trajectory that is negligable. Dont take my Word for it though, go on to SISI and See for youself.

Does You guys think its really a boost patch ? Eagle, Moa +1 Guns but no power for it I wonder if the next patch its +10 guns to Moa and Eagle (of course 6 highs and same power) will they call it boost too ? And now the raptor. Oh my god ... it's probably more than enough to be said... but, they cut it's power so nobody should be able to put 150mm rails (who the hell puts 150mm on ceptor at all ???), currently without the patch craptor could , probably , but not really use 75mm without instantly run out of cap. And thats 2 guns ... what about 3 ? ... 125mm ? 150mm ??? I think the guy that came with such "revolutionary" ideas is one of two thing, totally ignorant of Caldari ships, or plain ... uh ... not clever enough and should be scheduled for brain surgery so some brilliant surgeon could add a second brain convolution to his first.

Given the recent failures of implementation testing on multiple platforms of the the multiple client versions, can you describe the improvements you have made to your testing and quality assurance program that will give us confidence to log on in the first hours after deployment of this patch?
Alternatively, I'll be organizing sanity checks with other members of my corp to try to minimize the damage and inconvenience caused to our members by the avoidable and predictable conflicts we have seen and suffered.

Why have issues regarding the

You have had numerous complaints from people who cannot see wether a module is active or not. Do you intend not to react on that? What is the status on your viewpoints on this topic?
Personally it annoys the **** out of me.

In the "unofficial" patch notes the volume of some modules was adjusted. For example Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane I was reduced from 100m3 to 20m3 or so. Are these changes no longer in the patch?

Paddy's Prophecies, 13:52: Four weeks and three days from now, there shall be a great disturbance in the force, millions of secure containers screaming out in terror and suddenly silenced.
Just to satisfy my curiosity, I'd really like to see a short devblog afterwards giving some totals, e.g. how many deep space containers popped at once and how the lag averages responded.

No I don't use windowed mode. Just a clean Classic EVE Install on an ASUS EeePC.
800x480 is recognized as the only fullscreen resolution which is very fine - no other resolutions can be choosen. I would miss that feature! :(

I don't think you appreciate how difficult software development can be - especially the release process. I work in the field and let me tell you that it is not an easy thing. The releases and testing that I have had to deal with are small in comparison to what CCP must go through!
It is much rather have them wait an extra day (or week, or month!) in order to have everything go smoothly than rush something out and risk a problem. Remember the boot.ini problem? I'm sure that somebody got their butt chewed out for that, and that CCP is spending more time and taking more care with their testing phase. This is a Good Thing.
If you're scheduling your life around the patch times of a video game... Maybe you should get involved in something else. Eve is a game - a fun one, but still a game - and it isn't worth getting upset over. Go outside, read a book. Go play something else if you can't be bothered to move from your chair.

Absolutely agree with your post though, deploying software on this scale is horribly difficult and it deserves mention that CCP are doing an excellent job of it ESPECIALLY in case of failure. The way they came clean after the boot.ini fiasco deserves kudos.

/me reads the code...
The resolution filtering is as follows: We start with the full list of available resolutions. Then all resolutions where either the width < 1024 or the height < 768 (was 600, that is the change made) are removed. (Also, all resolution where there is a refresh rate mismatch are removed.)
Finally the current desktop resolution is added back if it was removed in the previous filtering.
That's why your 800 x 480 desktop resolution shows up in the current client and it will continue to be available, as far as I can tell. I tested this on my laptop just now to make sure; 800 x 600 did not show up when my desktop was at 1680 x 1050 but was included when I dropped my desktop to 800 x 600.
I'll have this item in the release notes updated.

the "boosts" to amarr are so-so, if you really wanna boost amarr then add some new T2 crystals to modulate the damage output to, say, alpha waves that make armor/shield particles fiss and does EM/exp damage. or even a crystal to modulate into a proton beam doing EM/kin damage. and... as it is to get a decent tank and dps on, say, an abaddon you need 5 T2 cap mods and 3 cap rigs, not to mention that you basically cant fit 8 of any form of tachyon beam on it and still have any repair capacity. you can either die in a mission or choose to spend all day doing it very slowly. but, these are just my personal beefs. at least we amarr get something out of this patch, albeit very little. |

You're forgetting something if you're talking about the Apoc. The other tier-2 BS can INDEED fit their 6 (SIX!) or 7 (SEVEN!) heavy long range weapons (with the tempest being a bit special), and so can the Apoc. The Apoc however, has the OPTION of fitting an EIGHTH (!) heavy weapon, and not only that, with the right skills it's probably the hardest hitting heavy weapon in the game!
My primary PvP BS is the Apoc, and this boost is so good I can't get my arms down atm.!
Really, the whining in this thread is reaching monumental proportions!

Planning anything important in game during patch week is probably not a good idea.
One day doesn't make any difference in any software testing process. If the devs of any software product one day before deployment think more testing is needed, most likely several WEEKS more testing is needed!
This seems like a rush-job where changes are made to the last moment and released mostly untested (which is fairly normal for the SW industry, but still not really desirable).....

All that AND improvements to the database to make adding extra "stuff" easier is all good. And basically what you're saying is that New Eden is a very very very large database full of stuff.
Apart from several caldari and amarr ship types being changed (I'm not going to use the word improved until I actually use them - oh how I wish I had a lap top so I can check out the test server) I'm really loving the dustmen/women of New Eden. I hope historic wrecks survive of course, but generally GSC's in 0.1 and above that hasn't been activated in 30 days has to go.

Could you explain the reason behind this change, please?
As i understand it, carrier pilots will not be credited for their participation in any documentable way from now on.
Yes, i understand, receiving KMs by carrier pilots when their fighters score a final blow may upset someone. But why do you deny them all credit altogether? Why not let them into KM as contributors to a kill?
Or did i read patch notes wrong?
Edit: Let me guess, this change is approved by Zulupark? I know, he hates us, carrier pilots OK, i did some research on the subject, it appears that Zulupark has nothing to do with this change.
Donathan Slade proposed it here, and CCP Garthagk approved. I think this change was made in order to give a correct figure of total damage inflicted by players controlling the fighters and rank them correctly in killmails. The side effect of this is: carrier pilots get dropped from killmails completely. Not fair, i think.

You should have just turned the Jita station around and all the complaints would go away as that's the only place it is annoying.
I can't wait to undock a Carrier into a fight on the station at 700m/s and be out of remote rep range before I load. Or get a wonderful black screen undocking with hostiles around only to load when they warp in and I am 20km out of dock range already. Also makes warping off worse for big ships as we need to decrease our speed which takes a long time before we align.

Lets see if I can post the first glitch of the many I am sure will follow. Cant get info on the unonwned skill books in character page. Like if i am able train but dont own the skill book you cant get info on the skill. Have to go to market to search the skill then get info. Nice way to lag the server even more. WOnder why there still has yet to be a patch or fix or something applied to address Jita? Guess all the hours your stuck in there means less lag other places for the other players....No fix needed then to lag.
Hmm an I wonder why the patch wasnt thoroughly hammered on a test setup to see the bug that delayed startup....Guess CCP got us again as we all payed for that day of seeing "Incompatible Protocal" not to mention the millions of SP lost since most people scheduled skills for the time posted..More ways to keep us sitting and paying....

I have to admit that I thought CCP had topped most politicians ability/willingness to lie with the line: "and not a single 'nerf'."
But, then, I got to thinking about it. I suppose, if you look at it the way most of the "balancing" devs look at the world (i.e. twisted, upside-down, and back-to-front) it is actually the truth. Think about it. There is in fact "not a SINGLE nerf", there are in fact, MULTIPLE nerfs. You could actually call each and every ship resist nerf its own individual nerf. So, from their perspective, the twisted way they look at things, I can see how they think they actually told the truth.
Ok... Ok... Yeah, enough is enough. I have sarcastically dragged them over the coals enough I suppose. Bottom line: Devs, it's bad enough that you stealth nerfed a bunch of ships resists and tried to pass it off as a "boost", you don't have to make it worse by sitting there and lying about it. Call it whatever you want, no matter how you look at it, a ship's stat going DOWN is a NERF; no matter how it affects anyone else who isn't flying that ship. Hope that clears that up for everybody.
Final Thoughts on the Patch: Devs: Good job on the few actual boosts that made it past the ôbalancingö hack job. I hope the people that are affected by them enjoy the moderate benefits that they offer. Great job on the few LONG STANDING bugs you finally got around to fixing. Bad job on creating more bugs while fixing the old ones; but nothing new there I guess. Most of the new features look really cool, thanks for them. They will look even better when they are all working right. Enough with the nerfbat already, this WAS supposed to be THE ôboostö patch after all. DonÆt worry too much about the massively extended DT from what was announced. Shyte happens. I work in IT, I know. It just seems that it ALWAYS happens to you guys. Funny that. And, on a final thought; how come the ôboostsö didnÆt carry through to faction ships, but the NERFS did??!!?? I.E. The Apoc boosts to grid and range didnÆt carry to the Navy Apoc. BUT, the resist nerfs to the Raven DID carry to the Navy Raven. I guess some ôboostsö are just ôboostierö than others, huh? Lords, what a crock!
Out.

ôThe resolution filtering is as follows: We start with the full list of available resolutions. Then all resolutions where either the width < 1024 or the height < 768 (was 600, that is the change made) are removed.ö Then how come the resolutions I use above < 1024 or the height < 768 have been removed? They have been in game 4 years and are the 5th most used resolution. Yet no longer in game. I cannot play eve anymore.

My first impression of the patch:
My impression after I started looking at my stuff:
First of all, can someone explain how lowering the explosive resists on the Raven and CNR are NOT nerfs?
Also, I got a Caldari Navy Cruise Missile Launcher BPC from the loyalty store a couple of weeks ago and started training my manufacturing alt so she could manufacture them. I spent about 7 days training up to cruise missiles 1 (plus a 20M skill implant to speed things along) only to find today, as I finished up the list of skills to manufacture the launchers, that I was missing Mechanical Engineering? WTF?! I open the bpc and, sure enough, no cruise missile lvl 1 needed any longer and instead I have to buy a 10M skill book
So, I loose a week of training and 30M isk because of the f-ing patch (if I hadn't needed cruise missiles, a perception implant really wouldn't speed up training for mechanical engineering would it) ? Changing skill requirements is very frustrating; precious skill training just wasted because dev's decided to make a requirement change. I'm going to start training for a marauder soon which means a full month to take battleship to level 5. How happy am I going to be after the next patch if you've changed the requirement to battleship level 4? I'll tell you how happy I'm going to be, happy enough to cancel both my accounts.

maybe all complains what i read is true but not this one... try to play WoW and you are off every 14 days for more then 1 day. ofc game info say "only few hours". so pls, try to play other games and then you can say what game is worst.

Why the lies CCP? It was said in the interview quite clearly that this would be a boost patch that only boosted things and that it would be NO nerfs at all and still you nerf the resistance on shields and armor! If you are going to nerf things than don't say that the patch will be nerf free because that is just lying!

I think it will kill many many players in zerospace. Get a system to lag (how difficult is this these days?) and see everyone undocking fly straight away from the station.
Well, before DT I undocked, came out the station at full speed (in a recon) left it like that until I came to a stop and was still 0km from the station so could re-dock straight away.
It may be that CCP made bigger the docking range to compensate, I'm not for one minute suggesting all stations will be like this, but at least try it before replying. -- eve-guides.com All about POSs, Outposts, Exploration, Mining, Invention, EVE Database + much more!! |

One thing which wasnt mention in patch notes. Now to open cyno your speed need to be 500m/s or less which sucks, becouse its harder to get into forcefield after opening cyno (but still possbile). so why CCP implemented that??? and why no mention about it??????

My guess they implemented it exactly for that reason, to make it harder/impossible to open a cyno outside the forcefield and have the ship inside.

Not sure if any one has already mentioned this but I just couldn't sit and read all 13 pages of this post. But I noticed that after I installed the new build on my Vista Ultimate machine, every time I go to exit the game the application has a problem exiting the game. Windows pops up a message asking if I wanted to close the program.

so now the nighthawk tank is broke and it didnt receive any damage boost because is already crap and only get kinetic bonus, the vulture passive tanked got broke and its damage is crap as usual, raven is the same crap and more with -10% less explosive resistance.
amazing that the zealot receive one more turret and every ship gets 10% less em, thats a good boost .......so lets all fly ammar now of maybe minmatar and remove the other 2 crappy races.....
is the eagle working? seems to be that i will need to sell all that crapy ships and start to train minmatar or ammar for another 3 years so i can pvp?
you really need to hire people who thinks whats "balancing"

The 24 hour wait was disappointing, but I suppose necessary. During the downtime, I watched the dev vids, and was happy to see there were 'no nerfs.' Yet, I log in to find my Gallente ships have, in fact, been nerfed. I felt lied to ...
Why would the dev's decide to take 10% armor EM resist and 10% of my shield explosive resist away from me -- across the board? How you can couch this as anything but a nerf is beyond me. It is clearly a nerf, no matter what pretty words you use to describe it. This will effect solo missions in my Myrmadon, especially the lvl 4s I could do in that boat. It will effect me also in pvp and makes Ammar and Minmatar ships more powerful when they face me in combat. Was Gallente -that- overpowered or did those races really need that 'boost'?
I'm relatively new to this community and hope my comments don't come off as pompous, but I just don't like dev teams not telling me the truth about a patch.
Overall, I love your game.
Cheers.

I had a serious FPS drop from 50ish to 20ish. I changed all the settings that got wiped during the patch and got back up to over 30. This makes the game a lot less playable for me. What is causing this and will it be fixed?

Edited by: Tafkas Zarathustra on 13/03/2008 17:36:26 Guess it's the "glass half full" type of gimmick, which they tried to spin a bit. Cannot blame them, others do it without any shame, on a daily basis (aka sugar coating nerfs). One race's boost is another race's nerf in any game. Gallente were kinda left out of the boost-give-away due to the forum uprising generated by the proposed Deimos changes. And it's only normal they feel left out. So were Minmatar, actually, but they dont need a boost(er), they make their own and steal your ship.
Quote: Deimos After a significant amount of testing with the changes to the Zealot, it became apparent that the Deimos had problems compared to the other close range heavy assault ships. As the damage output is already the highest of all the HACs, we looked into boosting its defenses so it had a fighting chance. One of the main problems of actively repaired Deimos setups is the high energy requirement, so we have changed the slot layout so the Deimos can accommodate a capacitor booster. Deimos:
Slots: 6/4/5 (+1 med, -1 low) Capacitor capacity: 1625.0en (+250en) Bonuses: 5% bonus to medium hybrid turret damage per Gallente Cruiser level (no change) 7.5% bonus to armor repair amount per Gallente Cruiser level (replaces the MWD capacitor penalty reduction) The above mentioned changes to the Deimos and Zealot allow them to better compete on even term with other close range HACs, such as the Sacrilege.
Quote: Update: Based on the feedback we have received on the Deimos changes, we have decided not to implement them and will instead keep an eye it's performance when the patch is released.
Probably users were right, cannot tell since I dont fly a Deimos, but CCP's wording leaves room for a future patch. And I am sure then all the other 3 races will cry "foul", saying Gallente is favoured... More fun reading material, I guess.

I cant believe the nerf you have done with regard to resist et. al.! In order to appease the few you nerf the many. And what was the copmment about no nerfing will be done. Call it what you want but its still nerfing. I have no problem with lasers getting stronger but i do have problem with my ships being weaker. Once agn i come back from a downtime to find my position i have worked hard to achieve has been nerfed by "the powers that be". How and in what way is this fair? I worked drone skills high and got nerfed by that. I worked armor resist high and got nerfed by that. IMO this "change" is ridiculous ,most of which was unneeded with the exception maybe of laser bonuses. Thank you for yet another let down.

Problem number 1) Patch notes say ice miner and ore miner graphics went back to classic look.....this is true but the ice miner lasers are suppossed to be blue, ore miners are red...........all ice miner lasers are now red.....please put back to blue.
Problem number 2) For those of use with dual core systems and running 2 accts there was no lag in alt tabbing between accts......now i get a black screen until i sit here clicking for 30 sec then i get my other acct......WTF?
I thought you guys run this on the test server to test this stuff...I guess the test server is a low version of tranquility as you always get stuff that dont work here.....use a full version of tranquility to test. Just a thought.

Awesome update except for one thing. With effects off you cant see Bubbles? This is dangerous. I figured the point of turning off effects was to help with performance....but if we can not see a bubble camp, what the hell we gonan do? I know drones you can at least see in the overview as well as wrecks and such, but bubbles should not be included in the removal of effects.
