The most important thing is to x up and help the alliance / corp out when they want it.

So if i sit in a sniping Tempest all day long to be sure i get on every killmails, does that mean i'm better there then if i was in a close range tempest?, that doesn't get so many kills because many targets will then get away before i have got a lock. And not to talk about how many targets that have popped before i have got lock on them. That's not a few ones i can tell you. And before you ask, no i'm not a solo player, i'm 98% of the time a team player. I know the area around Obe is nice, was gate camping there 2 days ago, and there was waves after waves with targets that jumped in, but as you probably know, most of those targets are cruisers, frigs, shuttles and noob ships, so my Tempest doesn't have a chance in hell to lock them before the others in the gang with Sensor Boosted HIC's have got lock on them and popped them.

I'll guess you fit your close range Tempest with Sensor Boosters and that, just to get on most killmails. I fit my Tempest to do MOST damage in the best way possible. If you wonder, here is my close range Tempest fit: High: 6x Dual 650mm T2 guns. 1x Heavy Neut (Best named one) This one is mega fun against frigs, cruisers and HAC's, it makes them cry lol. Med: 1x 100MN MWD II 1x Warp Disruptor II 1x Stasis Webifier (Best named one here to, because of the CPU usage) 1x ECM Multispectral Jammer II (This one is a life saver) 1x Heavy Capacitor Booster II Low: 2x Large Armor Repairer II 3x Armor Hardeners (T2) 1x Damage Control II I use the ships i'm good with. End of story.

The rest seems like the standard pirate tank fit for low sec gate camping tbh although id fit a damp with range script rather than a jammer as it gets better range and uses less cpu (against jammer ships or ranged stuff) and the nuet can deal with close range tacklers along with a few ECM drones before they get popped by the gate guns.

Have you ever heard about splitting up your gang a little, sitting on different gates? Oh noes, we dont need points noooooo. There is more than 2 gates in Nalvula. Nalvula is our main system. And the HIC's is the only fast locking ships we use in low sec. And no, i don't care what you call my setup for, but for me that's the setup that works best for me if it's a low sec gate camp or a fight in 0.0 space. That's what all matters, have a setup that i like and that i'm good with.
