I really must put an emphasis on Black Lagoon. Its awesome, wish it was longer though.
All of GitS, all 3 movies and the 1st and 2nd Gigs. Gundam Wing, 08th MS Team (ending is meh imo), Endless Waltz (wing movie), Outlaw Star, and I have to say it... yes I know... I know... Invader Zim.
Tenchi Muyo/Tenchi in Tokyo is a good one if your into that whole pseudo-romantic/sci-fi stuff...
Dominion Tank Police and Appleseed were pretty good too. ___ I cannot be held responsible for the above post, because apparently,my cat has learned to type. :3 |

You crazeh! Though I agree with everything else you said (though I've long since given up on it). -

BUMP!
fakeedit: content.... hm, well recently watched a few episodes of Kuro ****suji, something about a boy making a contract with the devil and a demon butler, I just find the butler's unflappability amusing .
Anyone watched this or To Aru Majutsu no Index? Both are a little slow starting, and wondering if they are worth continuing (though to be fair I will probably watch them when bored anyway, just because they are there).
I am about to watch an episode of Xam'd, will see how it goes

Don't worry. Akiyuki spends very little time in future episodes as the Xam'd. He's in alien mode through the second episode, but for the rest, he's human.
As for Kuro ****suji, I can't make up my mind whether I like it or not. There seems to be an even split between awesome occult Sherlock Holmes style stuff, and slightly homo-erotic episodes where Ciel has to dress up as a girl and dance with Sebastian. I've watched as far as the Hound of the Baskervilles one. ____________________

To Aru Majutsu no Index was a bit boring in the beginning but it gets more interresting a couple of episodes later. Personally i decided to keep watching it, looks promising to me. ---------------------------------------

yes I have, and yes it will be.
all space operas are like that, specially ones that involve star empires with close resemblance with the middle ages and Renaissance.
still, nothing beats the Banner of the Stars saga and Legend of the Galactic Heroes, wich is supposedly the anime with the biggest space battles till today (people guesstimate something in the order of the thousands of ships per side in each battle)
Is it possible to find these streamed free online? If can you recommend anywhere? I haven't had any luck finding Banner of the Stars of Legend of the Galactic Heroes streaming anywhere, though Tytania I have found everywhere I have looked .

insanity it is I must say.
...however there's one series I want to see but I'm waiting for it to end so that I can download it. and the name of it is Kurozuka. Read the manga some time ago and it was a very grotesque and cruel and sadistic manga that spawned a period of 1000 years or so.
and it had some sort of vampires. ---

It is the one behind Daily Dose.
It's all relative, I like it.
Not as good as Haruhi, this is more a romantic comedy... but still it's entertaining....
That said I did watch Eureka Seven from beginning to end.... though at the end of that I thought "what the hell did I just watch?".

Edited by: MotherMoon on 24/12/2008 16:14:45 So the only anime I've been watching is gundam 00 s2
it's allright but.. what happen to the good animes!! I can't find a single one, and I usally torrent the 1st epsiode of every anime that comes out of my site, anime-suki.
So maybe I missed one, anyone want to fill me in?
oh and I don't anyone said fantasic children. It's an interesting seriers that picks up at ep 13. It's pretty cool if you like something with a more serious story line. the 1st 13 eps are more like a wtf is going on story line which is why I warned you.
you could also skip ahead to the 13th which is a recap episode but what fun would that be.
But yeah without giving anything away I'll recommend that anime as a reward to someone finding a newer anime as in out now, I can wait week to week to watch anime.
please I need something to look forward to again, I love doing that. the anime I did this with was code geass. There is just something about having to ait a week I love.
so yeah any unfinished anime series please? that don't suck? and IU'm an animation student so make sure the animation isn't crap.
Quote: Throughout history, a group of children with white hair, known as the children of Befort, appear to find the same young girl. In 2012, Thoma, a 10 year old apprentice lives with his parents on the island of Papin whilst training to become the guardian of the island. It's by chance that Thoma meets Helga, an eleven year old orphan, imprisoned and mistreated in an orphanage. Helping her to escape, Thoma will quickly realize that his newfound friend is inexplicably linked to the children of Befort, the strange Fantastic Children..
and trust me it's all a cover up for a really good sci-fi!

first, you need to spread a bit more. Google for Tokyo Toshokan.
second: watching the first episode only of a series and pass a judgement is a bad, bad, bad way of seeing if you like a series.
example: Scrapped Princess is a very good series, but it only gets good past the 8th episode when you start find out that it's not actually just a medieval/fantasy series (it is actually quite a bit more, but I won't spoil ).
but if you want one good one that appeals to your graphic art side, then anything made by Gonzo? ---

well yeah that's why I told you guys to watch up to ep 13 of fantasic chgildren because it's more than it seems :)
but animation is SO important to be, not art style mind you, that if it doesn't look good I can't watch it to that point without it being recommended.
Also I've been hurt by animes like bleach which I though would have an end but never did :P
But no thanks for the site, I'll see what it has that animesuki doesn't.
Still I'll check out the anime you listed :)

Okay I've started watching Toradora. This series gets a resounding "meh" from me. I'll keep watching it because I don't have anything better to do until the new year.
And if you think it's insanity, you must be very sheltered. Try watching Kemeko DX and tell me Toradora is insane. ____________________

I caught up on Toradora yesterday. It was fun to watch, nothing really special, but the animation was better than I expected. The characters seemed to move a lot more realistically than they do in other anime I've seen. The relationships are interesting, and that brain-damaged parrot is hilarious in a disturbing kind of way.

Is it just me or is Aisaka just a copy-paste of Zero Louise from Zero No Tsukaima? Even down to calling her male companion a "baka innu". I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same voice actress too. ____________________

It is the same voice actress, I was getting Shakugan No Shanna vibes off of it (doesn't help that the male lead is called Yuji in that show). Only seen series one of FoZ.... but yes they are pretty damned similar.
