Amazing anime, the filler series starts off shit but gets pretty decent. Watch it in japanese, the jap dudes screaming sounds pretty funny
I'm highly biased about most things, but it has nothing to do with the overall view of my corp or alliance |

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann - Would highly recommend this
I have never enjoyed an anime like I did this one, the last act with the Tengen Toppa itself - I had to perform the Heinrich maneuver on someone chocking due to laughter on their own saliva when this happened.
Last Exile - you must.
Code Geass - real robot mecha, drama and thriller series that is likely going to be the successor to the Gundam franchise, definitely post 9/11. Also has the British Empire as the hegemony of the world and is the rebellion in Area 11 (formerly Japan) against its conquerer. Occasionally called the bastard child of Death Note and Gundam SEED
Melancholy of Suzimiya Haruhi - Eccentric genius with ADHD with an obsession with Aliens, Time travelers and ESPers is god, created the universe and no ones told her yet. Series is brilliant and o beautiful artwork.
Full Metal Panic - Mecha show, action comedy. Not much to add but its done by Kyoto and a good laugh, especially Fuffumo.
Neon Genesis Evangellion - You just have to watch this, people still talk about it 15 years on for a reason, it is yet to be surpassed as the epitome of its Genre.... Mind**** God Mecha in a war of survival.
RahXephon - Just a hairs breadth behind Neon Genesis, truth be told if this came out first this is what would have been talked about not Eva.
Black Lagoon - Mafia devil may care shoot everything with a dark plot, similar to GitS on quite a few levels.
Higurashi - I cannot describe this well. Psycotic, hardcore thriller with lots and lots of blood. Just watch the first few eps on Youtube to see if its your thing, I found it draws you in well, if you like Elfen Lied this is your kind of thing. .hack/Sighn - A broken individual with no real memories trapped inside an MMORPG, unique and a beautifully well done series.
Others are; Cowboy Bebop Gundam SEED Full Metal Alchemist Trigun Elfen Lied Trigun Crest of the Stars.
That should keep you entertained for a while
Haruhiists - Overloading Out of Pod discussions since 2007. |

It isn't too bad - anime is better than most of the crap coming out of the US at the moment.

I should smack you for recomending the last two. Eureka Seven made my head hurt even after watching the show twice and Deathnote.... it gets tiring when the main character is an arogent villian.
Good animes:
Hellsing Ultimate (dont be fooled) - Bloody, Gorey, but a great story with some deep questions when you really ponder them.
Ergo Proxy - Seriously will mess with your mind
Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo - An interesting retelling of a classic taken from a diffrent perspective. If you watch this dont go in with expectations. -------------------------------- To borrow a phrase:

This is a 17+ title due to blood. The TV series was a little cheesy but the first half of it was great, the second half I could do without.

Edited by: BlazeRage on 30/07/2008 01:34:38 Forgot to mention Noein, Akira, FLCL, Rouroni Kenshin, Trigun, Outlaw Star, Samurai Champloo, Code Geass, Bleach, and Avatar, i enjoyed/ am enjoying them was just tired whilst posting and couldnt recall all the animes ive watched at the time :P.
Watched Inuyasha thought it was mediocre at best and needed to end sooner.
Watched One Piece when it was on, though it was good to begin with, it started to drag on and the dubbing was swapped in the middle so meh.
Naruto was good at the start but is subject to if i can withstand the enormous amount of filler spewing out atm, bleh.
And im no connoisseur of Anime, i like what i like. :P
To Crumplecorn's Post: Anime List Overload
Animes Ill check out: Haibane Renmei Voices of a Distant Star Serial Experiments Lain RahXephon Last Exile Ergo Proxy Planetes
Also dont let this thread die like the last one, tbh.
PS: Also looking for a good site to view these on?
