Apologies to the Goonswarm, you did what you thought was right in hindsight. I still think you should step down as the leader of Goonswarm, you should not be our leader again, as I think you do have a way about you that draws attention and makes the Goonswarm a laughing stock. It is good to have someone as the head of Goonswarm that is looking out for the bigger picture of the playerbase, and not just a bunch of people who squabble and cannot agree on a point to unite under, so you must GO. ..I.. from a fellow Goon.

Truly, for what it is truly worth, I think those that have acted despicably here - in this scenario - are not the members of Goonswarm or the Clusterfuck or Mittens himself, but those that have nurtured this little pearl of hatred for Mittens. The people who have acted despicably are not those who have spoken jesting comments about Mittens' words at fanfest, or about some pathetic threat of meta-suicide, but those that have used this thing for political gain.

The despicable I name as people like Jade Constantine, Darius III, Issler Dainze.

MENTAL INSTABILITY. Jesus H Christ, I goddamn love mental instability. Not only was this guy about as bipolar as a cloned Frankenstein amalgamation of Stephen Fry and Kurt Cobain, but he was also having trouble in his current corp. Easy. I'm a ******* teaching assistant in a school for troubled children. This dude was the Smeagol of EVE; his ginormous blueprint collection was the One Ring and goddamn it was it calling to me.

Although it might be callous, I don't really care about this dude's wellbeing. We genuinely thought he was playing for time & attention by crying about being in hospital after taking an overdose.

Then we put a ton of effort into the scam, and by the time we actually thought he MIGHT be telling the truth, we'd simply put too much time and invested too much to walk away. I'm sorry that the guy is going through a harsh time, but i'm not sorry for scamming him and I doubt I ever will be.

The theme of this year's Goonswarm Alliance presentation is going to be Goonswarm hates you - and basically just talk about each different little aspect of demographic of eve of how much we hate them and want them all to die and kill themselves. Like highsec miners, we want them to kill themselves; people who role-play, we want them to kill themselves; people with Titans, we want them to kill themselves. There's just a whole host of people I hope to really offend by telling them to commit suicide while on stage in front of thousands of nerds.

I wouldn't really describe these damage control efforts as trolling. And from the posts on SA and Kugu quite a few Goons do appear to genuinely share this rather weird sense of outrage. Whether any particular Goon does is hard to tell but it's good of you to flag up the fact that people really shouldn't take the statements being made by Goons on these issues seriously. Best to have it straight from the horse's mouth.

Btw, can you confirm for me that the Mittani was 'trolling' with his apology as well?

you're trying really, really hard to score points around this whole anti-goon thing you've got going on and as a result are taking a lot of posts seriously.
