Patch went fine yesterday, played immediately afterwards, had no issues.
Logged this morning to change skills, no issue.
Trying to login in now, the QR splash screen fills the page and blinks every 3-4 seconds. There is no login bar at the bottom for me to enter my character name or password, just the splash screen flashing.
I have a logserver file I can attach to a bug report if this issue hasn't already been brought up.

I am having a major problem with the new client patch. I am running:
Windows XP Professional SP2 2GB Ram 2.0 Ghz Dual Core Processors (4Ghz total) 160GB HD 512MB Video
The problem is a memory leak. When the game fires up, it is using about 416MB of ram. Within half an hour it will jump from 416MB to over 2GB pulling into the virtual memory pool. At that point the game crashes to desktop.
Any ideas?

I can only agree saying that while one client works, it gets completely unplayable with 2 clients.
In addition I have now experienced the crash while undocking and after passing trough a stargate, a problem reported by other players earlier after the launch of Quantum Rise, but that I have been spared from earlier.
I took a look at this and found that the memory use can go up for a reasonable value to over 1 gig in a very short time, this from just running a hauling mission trough some systems. When the memory use reach 1.4 g or so, the client crash.

It appears that jumping between systems can trigger a memory usage increase in some circumstances. If you are running in fullscreen and alt-tab out of the application while jumping the memory leak can be severely increased.
We will keep you posted and will provide a fix as soon as we have one.
That pretty much describes the problem I have. I have submitted a bug report, but did not think about ALT-TABbin I was doing.
Three crashes to desktop since yesterday, near stargate (2) or station (1) and while I went to see web browser windows during warp.
We have a patch coming to our Singularity test server shortly. This should include a fix for the alt-tab memory issue and the related crash issues.
Honestly...

Yesterday I was running Eve Online with the latest patch and everything, apart from the blurry text, was running fine and smoooth, just like any other day on Eve. And everything was fine until I went to bed around 09:00 Eve time. This morning, around 8:30 AM Eastern Standard Time (13:30 Eve time), I tried loading up the Eve client and as soon as the splash screen disappeared, the screen went black and I got an error with some technical info saying that the CCP Exefile had encountered a problem and needed to close. It looked, and still does look, like this:
Image URL: http://i35.tinypic.com/2ih9kb6.png
I tried starting the client again, same problem. So what I did next was start up Eve in "Safe Mode". This time it worked, but the client was using the classic version. So I tried playing with some settings and came to the conclusion that the error only occurred when trying to start the Premium version.
So I did what I always do when something goes bad with the premium client, a simple uninstall of the client and reinstall using an older setup file, in this case one from Empyrean Age. So after installation was complete, I tried loading up the client and boom, same error minus the Quantum Rise expansion and any of the newer patches. This is the first time that I've encountered an error that has shown up after rolling back to an older version of the client. All other times I'm at least able to reach the login screen where it obviously shows that Incompatibility warning. This time I had to load up Safe Mode just to get there.
The next thing I tried was another reinstall of the older version of the client and then a reboot: didn't work. So I gave up for awhile and decided to just play the classic version of Eve for some time. And apart from the more-than-usual number of timeouts and closed sockets, I was at least able to get in, mess with my skills, fly around a bit, and chat with my corp mates.
As I'm writing this post, I'm downloading the full client in preparation for some additional debugging. I'm gonna try a few things to see if I can't get the premium client to boot error-less. I'll post back if I get anywhere.
Here are my system specs should any of you notice a software/hardware similarity between those of us who are having this problem.
*Windows XP Pro 32Bit SP3 *Asus P5N-E SLI (650i SLI Nvidia Chipset) *Intel C2D E6600 2.4Ghz O-Ced @ 3.6Ghz *Nvidia GeForce GTX 280 (vanilla from EVGA) *3.25GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 Memory (I know. I shouldn't be running 4 Gigs of ram on a 32Bit OS. Just deal with it.) *Anti-Virus Product is Windows Live OneCare (I recommend this. Microsoft did well here.) *Misc. Info: I always run Eve in fullscreen. I usually force a custom graphics profile using nHancer, but haven't since I started debugging.
One last bit I would like to add. I have not experienced any of the reported memory leak issues, even when playing on client. Everything was performing smoothly last night after patching apart from the blurry text. The Exefile error and my inability to start the premium version of the client all started this morning.

Originally by: Lutoslaw I wrote this in other threads, but repeat it here
After patch my Eve's client uses about twice as much memory as before. Using 2 accounts is almost impossible now. After 5-10 jumpes my client uses above 1,5 GB memory, and I've got 5-10 seconds freezes when something need to be loaded. I'm gathering information to bug report it. Before last patch I havent got any proglem like that
I'm experiencing the same problem, huge memory use, and I crash OFTEN. I had 0 trouble with the old patch, now the game is VERY frustrating, and multitasking is a no-no, with a dual core 3.0 GHZ pc. Can we just have the old one back?

Btw, in addition to the mem leak I was also experiencing crashes and performance degradation by a factor of 10. Installing the latest ATI driver Catalyst 8.12 solved the performance issue apparently. And now for the good side effect: It seems that with this new driver Anti Aliasing works now even with HDR!

I have done as the GM suggested and downloaded the latest driver patches but still the problem persists. Come on CCP there are a number of us out here unable to play as we cannot interact with the game due to unreadability.

And when I close the client now, I get a msg box with a error, and my mouse goes all freaky.

I too had some connectivity issues post-patch, took a little while to discover that the client wasn't allowing focus to change to my firewall's popup advising of the changed executable and requesting new rules, etc. I had to go windowed mode and move the game out of the way to access the desktop during login.
Eve refusing to surrender focus to the operating system seems to feature in other problems and crashes as well - tabbing during a gatejump, for one, seems not to work until the jump is complete. I get the feeling that some Eve processes or states are running at a higher priority than operating system calls.
Again confirming the memory leaks - on my box (3GHz E6850 core 2 duo, 680i mobo, 2 gig RAM, 7950GT graphics, windows XP Pro all up to date) which used to be able to run 2 or even 3 instances of Eve Premium pre-03; the Premium client in fullscreen mode now:
- swallows an extra 20 to 30 meg of RAM every gatejump, one client running, no tabbing out of the application.
- Becomes clunky to play, causes paging and soon crashes after reaching about 1.5G RAM utilisation.
- Behaves even worse with two instances running, running the system out of resources much faster.
- does not behave well when alt-tabbing, either to desktop or another application, or to another instance of the client - often hanging the system for several seconds and apparently gobbling RAM far more quickly.
Game cache and graphics settings do not appear to affect the memory leaks.
I'll edit in results once I've finished testing windowed mode and classic.

However, does this mean that i lose all of my settings? I'm especially concerned with my market quickbar and bookmarks.
I have moved the old files to another folder. Is it possible to at least retain my market quickbar?
Anyway to get my market quickbar back? Bookmarks are the only thing i have left.
I'm afraid that you have to set everything up manually again. Mixing old cache/settings with new settings is not recommended as it can corrupt the client and cause nasty issues like making it impossible to start the client or corrupt the overview.
Are you seriously saying that after each patch we should nuke all that enormously time consuming stuff like window positions, overview/bracket settings as well as god knows how many little UI tweaks and settings you probably didn't even know you had until you have to redo them all? If so, what do I need to do to request a secure settings transfer feature?

Old news but maybe pertinant:
Ive been getting terrible mem leak so much so, I just cant play. After running lots of checks and diagnostics to ensure it wasnt my gfx/ram etc and finding nothing wrong I decided to go back to the forums about Quantum.
I changed my preset Interval to Interval 1, auto-piloted 34 jumps and didnt suffer a single mem leak spike. True, I get a steady 75fps instead of my usual 120+ but thats fine as long as I can play.
I have yet to test it in battle or in a mission but i'm hopeful. Give it a whirl for yourselves people.. you never know

Well, feeling the effects of the patch. Was going through low sec space and seen some pirates in local. Felt ok though, because I was loaded with warp stabs and warped to zero at the gate. Had my mouse hovered over the "jump" button so I could get out right away, but then my game crashed mid-warp. Well, the screen turned black on me and I couldn't do anything. Then after a bit an error window popped up. I didn't read it too well because I was trying to get back into the game (something about some.exe caused an error with report/don't report options). Then I was back at desktop. Logged back in and of course was killed/podded. I filed a petition, but they said no SERVER issues were seen so I could not be refunded. Of course there was nothing wrong with the SERVER! It's the game that doesn't work! Don't know if the logs show that I warped to zero, then just sat at the gate without jumping, firing back, or anything, but that should raise some eyebrows to the fact that my game was non-functional.

Oh above the screenshot that UVPhoenix2 posted. This was the error I got. Looks like the game kept trying to run for a bit after I got the error though, otherwise my ship would have warped out.
