Please make sure you have Scene 2 enabled in your graphics settings. Many of the ships are still bubble/block outs. For the more finished ones please try the Caldari Tengu. |

hey hey
1. You need to train the 5 subsystems skills 2. you need to then train the strategic cruiser skill 3. you need the UNASSEMBLED Ship 4. you need 5x subsystem parts (1 of each)
A. Right click the ship and select assemble. B. Select 1x subsystem from each category C. click ok
you now have a fully assembled Strategic Cruiser
Notes : I subsystems can be unfitted and refitted. II subsystems will drop as loot when destroyed III I lost 250sp from Minmatar Engineering when it sploded. enought to loose L1 IV no wreck was left
Donno how the parts and ship etc will be seeded but thats certainly ALOT of BPC's parts etc and will probably come in at a premium :/ |

Don't be afraid, there will be plenty stuff to be build. It will be comparable to the T2 chain scale and complexity wise. Chronotis' blog will enlighten you soon.

I tried typing and linking to the Proteus ship and got the option of linking to the ship or the BPO - ;) From there you can see the skills needed to build it(yay me!) and also the items needed. Those I could not find out much more about there appeared to be no direct links but some variation items. I also found some new materials - sleeper items and looks like salvage.
The market was not giving the items as usual and someone gave me some advice about having to do buy orders to get skills, subsystems and ship.
Just doing the training via the skill planner on me other char to fly one - should be done at uptime yay!
I'm quite excited!!

From the looks of what is on sisi, ship subsystems will only get to the market after loot and salvage and 'mins' from sleepers has all been cooked together in various reactions, build processes and so on and so forth. It looks pretty cool, actually. For now of course on sisi they have just seeded the components to allow us to put together ships like lego ourselves- but the industrialist will eventually build every component for the market, then players will buy each along with a hull and assemble ships to to their liking, it seems. |

Create a new directory call Eve Sissy or something and copy your current eve files into there. Then create a short cut to the main Exe executable and edit it as follows by right clicking the shortcut and selecting properties and change the target details to (where as "e:\games\ccp\eve - sissy" will be the path to where you copied the files. E.g :-
"E:\Games\CCP\EVE - Sissy\eve.exe" /end /server:87.237.38.50
And then make sure the startin directory actually is the same as your new sissy directory. E.g. :-
"E:\Games\CCP\EVE - Sissy"
Rightly or wrongly, that's what I did and it works a dream. Once you innitially fire up your new install, it will want to patch. Now you can let it patch automatically or you can down load it from the ExE Site.

Edited by: tub cat on 10/02/2009 01:19:57 I know how to connect to sisi =P
what im wondering is if the premium client in "classic" graphics mode will connect to sisi, or if i wasted 3 GB of HD space in a futile attempt to circumvent the shortcomings of my hardware, in the absence of a classic client sisi patch.

Well, my particular install of sisi was the premium version copied from my main eve install today. That was configured for classic tho and i noticed a very nice imporovement visually and I re-checked that I was still not using premium.

Will there be certain skill requirements to be able to salvage the NPC sleeper ships and/or T3 ship wreckage like how you have to have Salvaging IV to salvage T2 wrecks at this time?

Re read the dev's post.
Will be similar to T2 complexity. IE you get T3 components BPO from NPC market, and you need T3 material harvested in new wormhole space to build them (rather than moon materials for T2).
They're just not seeded yet.
Hopefully soon, gotta get on that guide :)

Yes, you can select shader model 2, high or low quality from the escape menu. This is the premium light setting that will be in the new client. |

I was thinking, is there a technical reason why we are limited on the race of modules that fit on these things? I think it would be totaly epic if you could cook up your own hybrids, Gallente hull with Amarr defence and electronics and Caldari Offensive etc etc.
Or was that like trying to balance a hand full of live squid with ants in their pants :)

It would be nice if when assembling a T3 ship for it to automatically hilight the subsystems of which you only have one type in station.
Not a major issue I admit as it is only 5 more mouseclicks, but it could be avoided and make the process more slick.
Fix the fitting screen first though

Considering the seemingly accesable manner of wormholes, and the sheer amount of systems, I think the market could become seeded fairly nicely after several monhts (or longer). The only issue will be the cost of making them at POS's, as that will largely determine prices once the "OMG" factor in the market subsides.
These things have a niche in their sheer versatility, you dont know what to expect. If CCP can get the pricing right (about the same as a CS now imo), then we may see good use in PVP. The cost should mainly be from sp risk, not isk imo.
Please get it right CCP!

there appears to be a bug with module swapping out.
If you assemble your loki and the graphic is locked in and regardless of swaping subsystems the ship graphic doesnt change (even after a session change)
good for me cause all subsystem 2 looks incredibly sexy |

I draw a line here.
-----------------------------------------------------
Why we shoudnt discuss about how these ships must be? If CCP have some ideas they didnt brought them on the table. It is obvious that all stats are just there but no one have a clue how they must be.
I made som t3 cruisers, and indeed all the stats must be rescripted. Some modules have same stats. I have 5 low and 2 med on tengu which is an issue. I made a tank with 99.4% TH but i heard about 135% resistence bug. CPU and grid can be calibratet later after CCP will decide how powerfull these ships must be and what types of fittings can be done.
Any thoughts?
NOTE: I realy dont know what I should test on sisi since nothing is done. I can just imagine how these ships must be. I dont have a clue about any bonus. etc.

generally you should simply try to do what you would normally do when you got a new toy to play with.
playtest it to destruction !!!
the resist bug looks to be a resist thats not applying the stacking penalty. we found this on the loki when using all subsystem 2's and a single DC II (90% + 13.5%) there is some graphical anomolies (like i described above) but these will most likely get ironed out. the subsystem stats arent ready yet and they are just placeholder stats to test the system rather than give values to the ship.
just play about with it till you notice smething that looks out of place. . like the electronics one for the loki has a mag or grav sensor option :/ I very much doubt your can change senso type for a ship. its odd because elecronics was the only subsystem thats supposed to be activly using atribute change.
i found a weird lag bug today when i tried to swap out a grid subsystem and it unfitted then threw up an error so effectivly i unfitted a subsystem and only had a 4x subsystem ship :)
general bugs tbh and ive only found them because im activly testng the ship till it breaks and not just out in fd- shooting folk :)

Valid question, but I salvage T2 wrecks with Salvaging 3 just fine.
