Man thats a big booger. You could try reducing your video card clock speed (GPU and or Mem) as a test, then run it for an hour. Also try it with HTT turned off for a day. And run a few benchmarks with HTT on and off.

I have a NVIDIA 6800GT based card and I don't have this problem. If you have an old MX400 card, you could get a quite cheap and well worth it upgrade to a NVIDIA 6600 based card, or a good low level ATI card.
