Sure; if my IPO fills up before then, I'll either discuss with you refunding it, or re-examine how plausible it would be to include it. I chose 50 billion vs 150 billion in assets because even if the market for ludicrously rare and expensive stuff tanks and for some reason a Chelm's Modified Cap Recharger for example only worth 5 billion, I'll still be able to cover 150 billion.
I haven't taken into account my wife's assets or either of our second accounts for this, which I will need to - we talked today, and she said that she's done. :( Done as in, not playing anymore, even for the next few months. I think I explained this elsewhere, but that's part of the reason I'm leaving; she doesn't want to play Eve anymore, and we're a team.

Anyone with clarification on that?
There is no "legal" way to give an account to another player, who is not family living under the same roof as you. For a trade to be "legal" in the eyes of CCP, you the seller of a character(not account), must pay a $20 per character transfer fee.
There is no way around this according to the EULA and TOS, as put forth by CCP.
Not to say that people do not break this rule all the time, but you asked for clarification on the "legal" way.
Rubbish. You can do it the CCP way and then wire transfer the 20 back to the seller. Provided you trust eachother for the 20, you're fine. No animals harmed in the making of this trade.

Those of you with "reserve" ISK...
If you don't fill your reserve soon, I'm going to have to discount your reserves because the bond is almost full, and I don't want to tell someone that they can't invest because someone else has reserved some. -------------------------------------------------- Eve-Online Parodies: Music To Laugh To |

Hemmo, you're good - you're the reason I posted just now. Counting your six billion ISK, if everyone who has asked me to *reserve* ISK puts in their allotment, I've got 5 billion or so left open.

Not reeeally trolling as such, I just think it's humorous.
As mentioned though, personally I think this is legit, and wish you well in your endeavours. Yourself and some of the other high rollers posting here give this a lot of credit, I just find it funny that this essentially is a "quiting, send me isk ..." scenario.

Ah, I see.
If you weren't aware, the alliance tournament is going on right now. At the conclusion of it, some lucky winners will be awarded unique ships. I'm not sure that Entity wants me disclosing his finances, so I won't, but he's saving his ISK to purchase the ships coming out of the alliance championship.
As for my own progenitors...I've inquired around (I had hoped on making this a solo venture with a silent partner), but ISK is tight right now because of projects that people are working on. I could wait (and have been offered a variety of things in a matter of weeks and months) but I'm impatient, and always have been.
I've never made an IPO before, I've always had more than enough ISK to buy everything in Eve twice (before I left the first time) and never needed anyones' help with anything. In fact, all my community involvement has always been me giving away ISK. A billion ISk to write some song lyrics, a billion ISK to find a karaoke backtrack, a billion ISK radio donation, 10 billion ISK to fund a contest, stuff like that - so thought I'd try something new. Anyway, thanks for posting. :) -------------------------------------------------- Eve-Online Parodies: Music To Laugh To |

Oh yes, it's quite hard to imagine that a collector with a collection this big actually spends his ISK to buy all that! (I bought another Tribal Tempest recently, too)
As several people have said before, me being involved offers no security. Whether I can fulfill my end of the deal relies exclusively on Curzon.

Well the numbers never add up to me. 10 bill to a trillionare is 10 mill to a billionare. It's something you would hardly notice. And being worth a billion and not being able to scrounge 50mill is hard to conceive of, similarly when that is scaled to a trillion.
Scam or not, you say you will return 150bill, not the 150+50 you will be worth, so hopefully that means you will be making some pretty sexy pvp vids for us paupers to drool over

Edit - saw entity's post Guess I can understand you have available ISK earmarked for something you likely don't know the exact price of, and also that you spend your ISK pretty hard, but apparently 50bill is no big deal to the MD elite. Just calling it as I see it.
I can't be certain, because I'm not yet in the hundreds of billions range, just the tens of billions, but I think here's where your ideas might be skewed:
A toon who has a few billion isk on hand has that few billion isk because it's easily and understandably spendable all in one spot ("if I feel like a faction fit chimera tomorrow, I can go get it").
A toon with tens of billions of isk in assets will actually only have a few billion to at most ten billion in wallet, because they're busy leveraging every spare isk in the investments and methods that got them tens of billions. So for instance when I wanted to buy a 60m+ sp uber pvp toon, I had to stop reinvesting a few streams of isk for a week or so. (People without that one week turnover would have to wait longer.)
When I was worth around 10 bil, I had 2 bil in isk...20% of my value. Now I have about 10% of my value in isk. I imagine if I ever get to a trillion, that I'll only hold at most 100bil on hand...but probably I won't (why would I???).
Remember, CCP has recently stated that there's only 260 trillion isk in circulation, and only about 150 trillion of that on actually active accounts. If you start assuming that the 200-500+ super-wealthy denizens of eve keep fat multi-trillion isk billfolds on hand...that means the rest of us have nothing. Given that my wallet isn't empty, I'll assume they hold their value in rare, costly, and vast quantities of items.
Which brings me to my final point: have you ever tried to liquidate a meta14 item at a reasonable price? Go head over to the sell order forum and check out how many bumps the current Chelm's items are taking to get sold. It sounds like Curzon wants to have a bit of fun and doesn't want the hassle of selling his old stuff (maybe wants to take it out for a last run anyway).

Eve appears to have crashed; I relogged and I'm in the queue. I've got to head to bed, but I'll see about sorting this out in the morning.
The 8 billion should fill out the 8 billion left open, and the 4 billion should put me at 49-51 billion depending on the reserved people.
Took 24 hours to raise 50 billion, I appreciate the support folks! Now find your friends with the officer mods I need and get them to sell them to me. =)
In the grand scheme of things, I'm not sure how buying the Golem's shield fittings are going to go - I know how expensive Estamel's fittings are, and if I could get a petition answered to reactive my account, I could start liquidating other characters (3 total between Dodiez and myself, not including Curzon). I'm slightly worried about whether 50 billion will cover pimping a Golem and a paladin, but I'd like to think that I'll get quite a bit from selling the alts.
I'm tempted to say that I'd be willing to extend my offer a bit higher, but I'm hesitant - I know I can cover 150 billion easily (guardian vexor + My vindicator and fittings + kronos and fittings) + the 50 billion I just raised is 150 billion, and that leaves an officer fitted dominix, an officer fitted scorpion, a very fat faction fit Hyperion, Abaddon, best faction fit Myrmidon, freighter, faction fit Arazu, my precious lachesis, a bunch of other tech2 fitted ships...a large container full of faction and officer mods that I don't know the value of anymore (Hakim's Modified Webber anyone? Are officer NOS still worth anything?), and a bunch of station containers full of libraries of tech1 and tech2 gear (not to mention my BPOs), and I still need to liquidate the characters aside from Curzon.
I suppose I'll leave that one up to you folks, the investors. I want to make sure I get estamel's on the Golem, and realize my budget here is stretched. =p I'm not really worried about not being able to cover it, but I'd probably have to sit down with someone who knows the prices of things (not an officer gear reseller you turds who want to sell me things for far more than they're worth) and see exactly what I can cover.
At this point, I'd say use your own judgement; if I'm beyond my means, I'll issue refunds beyond the 50 billion mark and post a cease and desist.

Curzon, I have a large quantity of liquid cash right now and I'd be willing to cover any extra isk you might need if you would be willing to give me approx equal value ship+fittings as collateral (I'd leave it in the hanger and swap it back for my investment + interest at the end)
Is this something that you would be interested in? If so then send me an eve-mail or something and we can work out the specifics. --------------------------------------

Originally by: Ambo Ok, this is one of the dumbest IPOs I've ever seen.
You've got loads of shiny stuff that you're not using that's worth 150-200 bil. You want other people to give you 50 bil to pimp a Golem and a Paladin for... somthing, we have no idea what. In 6 months to a year, Entity gets hold of your char, buys all the items (effectively from himself) and gives the proceeds to investors.
You won't sell your own stuff to raise the cash to do this despite the fact that there is no reason not to do so. You don't say what the ships are for. You say your stuff will not get blown up. This is Eve, unless you're just going to look at it in a hanger then there is always a chance.
Clearly the only reason people would invest in this is your rep (and entity's) and the amazing returns on offer. Only trouble is, it makes absolutely no fricking sense. Massive returns promised + a 'plan' that makes no sense = warning flags.
For what it's worth, I really don't believe you're aiming to scam or anything. Best of luck to investors I guess.
