ShunToch	Posted - 2004.11.25 20:02:00 - [1] Prior to installing exodus the game worked great on my laptop afterwards I have a problem where when I leave a station the game will freeze. I have left the game running for up to 20 mins to see if it is a lag problem but it is still frozen. I have to exit the game via ctrl+alt+del. Anyone have a idea what it is that is causing this? I have installed updated vid drivers for the ATI Radeon Mobile 9200 in this laptop and same thing. I want to note all else in the game works good so far. Ohh one more thing, keep in mind I have Windows service pack 2 installed as well if that helps or hurts any.

Naomi Venture	Posted - 2004.11.25 21:45:00 - [7] I'm not playing on a laptop, but I get this bug too. Happens about 50-75 percent of station departures. I can't even Ctrl-Alt-Del. I have to reset my computer.

Since I run in windowed mode, I can see from the Performance Monitor that the CPU is 100% used - so the code has got itself into an infinite loop, rather than it stuck waiting for something. For what its worth, I am also running on a laptop, with XP SP2 installed, and an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 graphics card.

Using a new laptop with an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 as well. In-game is fine and enjoyable... but this bug makes it tough on us mission-runners (hopefully it's a "bug" and resolvable...). Tried windowed/full, drivers, everything I could think of so far... -T

Boltar	Posted - 2004.11.26 02:21:00 - [19] Another one here, not on a laptop but I do do run a radeon 9000 series card and have SP2 installed. I can normaly cntrl-alt-del out and I also see the proc pegged at 100%.

Boltar	Posted - 2004.11.26 19:13:00 - [27] I'm not sure if it is luck or not , but I upgraded to the latest catalyst drivers and so far so good. I've only done about 5 docking/un-dockings & about 30 gates (which i did freeze at before also) and so far so good.

A further thing I noticed is that it behaves the same way whenever I have a station of any sort on the screen. If when I first undock I have a chance to swing my view off into space so my camera does not show the station then I can dock and undock fine, however, if I am just a little slow then it freezes. Perhaps it is somehow related to the drawing or rendering of stations...
