All the kills from the last 30 minutes in Abudban just vanished, they were all from a Mimitar corp called "micro miners" Lots of ships. Think it was a corp created just to get free kills? Because who honestly flys out 13 hulks to get blown to hell.

Aside from the shield rigs, that's actually a standard Mack fit - 2x ice miners, 2x ice MLUs, and usually a t1 and a t2 cargohold expander rig to bring the hold capacity up to 8300m3 (so that two full cycles from the pair a ice miners can hold 8x1000m3 blocks of ice.) The 3 civi shield boosters in the mids fit within the remaining PG, keep the ship cap stable, and are more than enough to permatank highsec belt rats.
Just sayin.

Was in abudan (iirc?) earlier when i scanned a few of the farmers in the ice belt, some were using 4*small extenders, some were using 2* small t2 boosters and a lot of them had rigs as well to help their tanks.

Quote: EVE Online Players Commence 'Hulkageddon III: Summer of Gank'
Industrious miners all across the galaxy of New Eden are on alert as a group of EVE Online players have declared open hostilities on mining ships everywhere in what is delightfully dubbed Hulkageddon III: Summer of Gank.
Named after the popular 'Hulk' mining ship [pictured left], Hulkageddon III will see players hounding expensive mining vessels across CCP's space MMO. Kind benefactors have offered a number of respectable prizes for participants, hoping to beat the last event's record. Hulkageddon 2 brought the destruction of virtual ships worth 278 billion ISK--EVE's in-game currency--which is the equivalent of many thousands of US dollars.

Helicity currently resides on the Moon inside of one of those sheds that most people have in their backyard to hold their lawnmower and lawn furniture. He does not have many tourists to his shed. ----- My Blog |

Holy mother of Gank Fests. You all are going to break last years records by the end of the first weekend at this rate. My corp does mining be we are all smart enough to park any ship remotely associated with mining or industry during this time. Very entertaining start.

Max respect to you for doing the smart thing, and having a good attitude about it :D
There's always mining Apoc's and Rokh's which are a bit less likely to get ganked (and are insurable). It sounds like you have other things to be getting on with though which is even better. From the sounds of some players complaining about this event you would think the ONLY thing they do is mine

It would appear that this is spreading. Tanked ships, people parking them - HIII may have managed to separate the players from the macroers. In looking around high sec belts I see wrecks of ships, and sometimes the capsule still sitting there. That's the sure-fire way to find out who is AFK.

The number of capsules just sitting in asteroid belts or Ice fields is pretty stout. HIII has most definately brought the macroers out into the light. Keep it up gang.
