Targeting one specific group of Eve players makes me think really bad things about this game. I wish someday Eve dies because of harrasment and their stupid playerbase. Eve wants it, and in the end Eve will get it... Then i'm happy.
Maybe we should just warn everybody about this event. Making it harder to find any easy targets. |

You are but mostly you're doing PR for the event, luring more and more suicide attackers to join the event. And that's your primary. I can understand that.

I understand the financial motivation behind this event. And it's all well played, the last two events proved that. I wish i could get my share of it but i hate the idea of targeting specific group of players, and like the name says "hulkageddon", you're targeting the mining industry, the miners and the youngest part of the game (and i mean toons/chars).
It's like killing babies. That's never a good policy. I hope this time you will fail.
If you want to donate any of those isk you are collecting. Feel free, i don't mind. It's perfect isk machine and they love you. |

But like a buddy says... we just stick a new character in a retreiver or mining frig/cruiser and rack up some free gank kills.. Ill be sitting in a Belt in retriever near or close to Jel please come gank me

I would certainly hope nobody can mess up your REAL life no, but EVE itself is designed to allow the sort of play we are engaging in, whether you choose to acknowledge this is your own problem. Just dont go crying on the forums if something bad -does- happen in the game, is what I am getting at.

My main is an industrialist/miner...I've created the alt here to kill macros in a system in Sing liason as well as joined the Hulkageddon orphanage. I fully endorse this event and as many have, I would gamble that when they read about this they inform their corp and friends about it. So only the uninformed should end up being destroyed.

I am a miner and I fully indorse this product As the stockpile of minerals I have will be worth alot more after the blood letting.
So to all gankers may your overloaded guns aim true and have faith that I will be selling you over priced minerals and equipment afterwords.  As I will be parking my Barge, getting out my salvager and waiting in a ice belt near you to salvage all the juicy wrecks and ninja your cans.
P.S Please fit your gank ships with good faction mods as the douches that have to much isk like to do  Got nothin but love for yall

It wont make them worth more. The last geddon didn't, and had no real economic effect. You'd need to kill over sustained periods of time a tremendous amount to shift the basket, and the only thing that would do would be nonstop, all-out war. Too bad the 0.0s are so in love with the blob they don't make conventions to just not fight with a large amount of ships.
If you want to make this fun? Force all hulkageddon participants to join a holding corp or alliance. This way they can be wardecced by mining corps and wardec in turn, and make it all out war instead of carebear suicide ganking.

They have the same fit, 8 total exhumer losses on eve-kill, and no crystals in their t2 mining lasers ever, and 3 empty mid slots.

Why do I think that there will be more new players ganking (a catalyst gank fit takes a mighty 13 hours of training and costs 400k ISK) rather than being ganked (a Hulk takes around 5 months and 160mil ISK).

fail post... there is no way you suicided two hulks in two different belts in high sec with the same ship. you would have gotten concorded in the first belt.
so either you killed two hulks with two tempests, or you are at war, and just them both with the same ship which isn't really impressive as i've personally been able to kill three in the same belt with an ishkur. |

I don't think you have thought that through.
All hulkageddon people in one corp? set standings. Bam! instant identification of any suicide ganker entering the system. Wardec up? That means any attempt can be intercepted before you even get in range of the barge, and that independent non-mining corps can use you for PvP practice if they like.
It would make it fun simply because miners now have the ability to actually escort and defend their fleets if they chose to. It would remove the carebear aspect of a suicide gank: inability to be fired on when intercepted-and force them to, you know, actually fight?
You'd have to enable limited-duration wardec with no upper limit to be fair, so the geddon squad can pick and choose targets, but even then, miners would know they are a potential target and have an option to fight back.
Right now its just one-sided. This way would make it an actual battle and force both sides to face real risk. Even if you decide to carebear it up by blobbing, you just provide targets to others who can see all your tasty ships and be tempted to wardec you just for the good fights.
Then again, that would involve the possibility of losing, and having losses show up on your killboard, as well as angry miners blobbing back and camping you in station. Surw as hell would make it a real event now, wouldn't it?
