There is an extremely important flaw in your plan. Let's see if you spot it before bad things happen to you ;)
Well i haven't actually exposed my plan 
but about the flaw you mention i think is about being outside 0.0, also someone talked about torps
but i think they are a bit ineffective against small fast ships or not?
oh and to be honest i don't even own a hulk
Let's say that.. unusual fights need unusual tactics

I am here to make a confession. Yes I like to mine but it is only a temporary thing. For one from the look of things it takes forever to even train to halfway decent at PVP. I would like to do some PVP,but right now I am no where near ready for it. So I chose mining as a way to make some ISK in between selling PLEX. I also have some future plans I wish not to divulge at this moment. I have taken on a can-flipper, but lost... badly. I do venture into low sec, but with friends, in my barge. I have have hauled millions worth of equipment though low sec. Which I was sweating the whole time, seriously i was.
I am not a carebear just not ready for PVP because EVE is a stat whoring game. EVE is a clickfest your success in PVP or PVE is based on stats. If any real skill was involved PVP in EVE would be a whole different world. One it would be more fun. Two more people would like it. Truth is you have either won or lost the moment you lock on to your target plain and simple. You're just better because you have played longer, but strategy plays its role too.

Umm.. no i really don't see it then; well, unless you aren't talking about us

Are there any prizes or categories for the odd miner kills?
I'm just curious. I'm not a major miner. I have no hulk and even a retriever is weeks away if I wanted to skill up for it. However, I can and have mined in a Rokh. Generally, I mine grav sites I find.
but this made me wonder... are there prizes for the oddest mining ship killed? (Like say you stumbled upon and managed to gank a faction fitted mining Bhaalgorn). Or a Most Bantom or other mining frigates killed? Or since Gas Harvesters are like mining, but are generally done in random ships, a Gas Harvester kill prize? (Come on, I got a good Ferox BPC and I want the prices to go up! LOL)
So really... what are the oddest kills people have seen in this event and the odd prizes/awards?

People don't gank Hulks for the challenge... People gank them for the lols and for the isk. There's challenging pvp, and a majority of the people that participate in hulkageddon also do that, but it's got nothing to do with hulks:P
First 90 minutes: 54 Exhumers, 20 Barges, 3 Orcas, 1 industrial, 12 pods. First 13 Exhumers died within the first minute, at exactly 00:01.
