Being a late returnee to EVE, I bet some of you guys can educate me on this: Running Mac - How are patches applied? Will there be a download when you log in? (Now it¦s telling me "Incompatible Version" but I recon that is due to the update not being finalized yet) Or do we have to download a patch and apply it ourself?

C'mon guys.... is that your first patch-downtime in EvE? I'm so surprised about the extend of the DT as I am surprised about new Year at the 1st January.
If it is your first extended downtime: Welcome to EvE-Online.

Don't think so, as the act of paying to kill someone is not legal either in most countries. It's like taking someone to court cause he stole your 10 kilo's of coke. Inappropriate signature removed. Zymurgist |

HAHA I love all the moaning about downtime!
Why not:-
a) Pay some attention to your woman b) go find a woman
or
c) find out what a woman is
or d) get a grip!

wrong, contract is considered invalid if it is in conflict with law or can I make and sign contract with hitman to do my ex
No, the contract would not be invalid but the action there in would be in violation of the law. And in such you would also be a murdere even if it was not you who killed your ex.
i.e you get done but could be sued by the hitman if you didn't pay :P

Well, since he would be in jail to I don't think that is anything to worry about Besides, if he didn't take payment upfront he wouldn't be all that smart |

It seems theres too much flaming, trolling, whining, *****ing, etc going on for helpful posts/requests to be noticed. I asked a similar question a few pages back to no avail
Keep trying though! haha

If that's the only thing stated in the contract I think that is the case. If however you have other things in the contract that don't conflict with local law I don't think the entire contract is nullified, just the parts that conflict with local law. Inappropriate signature removed. Zymurgist |

No, the contract would be used as evidence to put you to jail too |

Yep but still.. There is something seriously wrong with developement process and testing. Usually this happends when u let software developers to touch production and u dont have proper testing environment =P (but who cares.. they are not really loosing money on this except roll back plan is fkd up if it's needed =P )

Oh my this is funny as hell , ccp is sitting back counting thier euros while everyone whines on the forums . And honestly who can blame them . You all are acting like drug addicted lemmings . Attacking each other with fail statements , and showing absolutely no fortitude to actualy effect change .
You want ccp to hear you about thier lack of the simpliest customer relations , unite as one large group and dont pay your bill for a month , thats right take a break from eve , go find a woman and actualy touch her . Do this and watch ccp scramble to become a better company when it comes to customer relations . a loss of 40,000 x 15 american dollars = Results .
But i as well as ccp knows that theres no way this could happen , i mean just read the forums !!!!!!
Second posting of this , the first got no response . Proof of the addicted ? hmmmmmmmm

Contracts delineate intent. Contracts as a whole are potentially made up of several parts. The validity of any one part does indeed jeopardize the validity of the entire whole. Thats the interpretation US courts have made for decades. I'll Salvage Your Soul |

As you have seen from some of the more acerbic responses - Eve Online patched last night, but it didn't go as well as hoped, thus they are still "down" currently. Once they are back up and functioning properly - you will indeed be prompted to download the patch when you log onto the server (whether on Windows OR on Mac) - I run mainly PCs, but have a Mac Laptop that I play on - and the clients patch the same on both platforms...
Hope the information is helpful - and welcome back to Eve :)
