On a different note, can anyone post a link to a 'How to' site so's i can get one of those lovely signatures. Googled it but it takes me to 1000's of forum posts on scanning and ship fits etc

While I can't speak for their internal organization, I'd put your next year's wages on them being aware that this is not a free game. Supplemental, I have pictures of your mother and a street sweeper in flagrante delicto; I demand 100,000 euros for me to not publish them.

Right, so as an experienced developer, having built client / server applications, I guess that makes me a bit of an expert on the subject.
First off, SiSi is not Tranquility. A patch deployed on SiSi may work fine, deployed on Tranquility - even the smalled differences between environments can be devastating to a program. I would dread to peruse the endless code that makes EVE What it is at either end of the pipe. Whilst the Server Side code is likely a disaster of data types hacked in for specific purposes, convoluted with classes and methods that handle only edge case situations. The Client code - being Python -- GOD... Well I like Python about as much as I'd like to own a monkey. (Seeing as I don't even like my dog, I can't see me owning an animal, and sharing my home with a creature so vile that upon EMO-RAGING throws fecal matter).
In short - I don't envy the developers the work. managing a large scale project like EVE would endlessly boggle my mind to the point of delirium. I have many complaints about EVE, and what I would do differently as a programmer. However, I do still enjoy the game, and since I'm not one of their programmers, I keep my opinions to my self about it.
If you are not satisfied with the level of service you are receiving from CCP then perhaps you should consider holding onto our 15, 30, 45 bucks a month (as per how many accounts you have).. Meanwhile I'll sit on Teamspeak with my corp and alliance mates bull****ting about our lives, spouses, work, and plans for the future. We'll take this time to work out new logistic routes, propose fleet comps for specific purposes that do something new and different in a new and different way.
EVE is more then a game, is a social network of involved team mates. While the game may not be up.. Some of us are still playing.

this is so anoying... im a corp ceo of a new corp and im losing sp on two chrs now cuz my ceo isnt training and my main chr on the account isnt training only cuz i have to train corp skills. 5 hours+ = lots of sp to me seeing as i train 2336 +/- a few sp an hour. i realy hope they do what they did last down time extention and rebate us the sp we lost. although they can do anything they want cuz ill still play the game for another 3 years and probly annother 3 after that lol

I really don't see what everyone is complaining about. Working in the IT field myself, I know that unforseen things happen.
Its Patch Management. You test out the patch on a test environment, and after you find that its okay to go live, you put it on your real-world systems. 90% of the time, this works with no real problems. However, problems DO occur, simply because the test environment (most of the time) is not, or CANNOT be EXACTLY the same as the live environment. Therefore, when making the patch live, sometimes things just screw up.
Yeah, its inconvenient and annoying. But hey, CCP's doing their best. Just chill out, I'm sure you have something else to do than play Eve.

I dont think CCP can claim a 90% success record at patch application/extended DT ratio.
