Quote: (written by jam warrior)reading through half the posts on this topic so many ppl say CCP are breaking the law one way or another...i have studied some law myself and know a fair bit about it, and i cant see where they have broken any laws.
Did they tell us about the Extended DT? Yes Does the EULA say anything about the game having to be up 24/7? No Does the EULA say that this game can be down for days without breaking laws? Yes
Cant be bothered to scroll through the EULA to find hte quotes for it but still, has anyone actually read and UNDERSTOOD the EULA?
and all these people saying that we pay for these new updates to the game like the Incursion patch coming in winter, you are mistaken, we do not pay for them, they are free like stated, we pay for our ACCOUNTS. If CCP wanted to they could buy another server and ask us to pay for these expansions like WOW does. So stfu whining seriously, specially all these people going on and on about they are breaking the law, they are extorting us...its pathetic
In that this do not break eu laws is correct, except there may or may not be some parts that although not an offence to state (tick here to relinquish for all liability even if your computer blows up as a result of our software (e.g.) even if they (or other software companys) may you tick boxes to use their software what ever you aggree by ticking they can not deny you your european consumer laws protections. Even though they say they can, just that theres no law against lying,in the same way if a store tells you your not entitled to a refund for a borked product.

Originally by: ninjitsu3 Ok its been hrs sence the original time frame they better compensate ppl for thier loss in training time. CCP you stink and releasing patches
people need to stop being stupid and set long skills even if its a 30min patch because as everyman and his dog knows, its likely to take a lot longer.

LOL, I see its still down. Man this is interesting I when outside for a change, and I discovered other people on the streets. I played jet-canning with some local kits from the block. ItĘs a fun game just kick a ball against a can and kick the kid that owns the can.

lol when you install eve and click that little button that says you have read and understood the eula (terms of service, rules and regulations, or whatever else you want to call it) then when things like this happens, you aint entitled to any compensation. you have agreed to this with ccp when you installed their product.

As long as I have my payslip I can always get the money Besides, a db-error shouldn't be that hard to fix. A week? Someone has not been running backups and logs as they should

you know what i mean ... eve is a service you are paying for like a bank account or a phone ... I am pretty shure if the switch off your phone and extending and extending the time you will react like everyone else in here "hey they are just humans and also i am only paying for having the phone at home not using it"

I find it not regrettable that ccp down for a patch that is just good, but I've seen 13 times an update in this game and every time the same story they can not meet their time schedule to keep. Why can not tell you just ccp all day would not be able to play better than we know that again. All this trouble because some of the player base is dumb enough to try and run games on a Macintosh. Poor ignorant bastards.
Just think how much better the client could be if they dropped mac support (like they dropped linux) and stopped wasting man hours trying to get software to run on an overpriced etch-a-sketch (mac).
If you really want to run eve on your crapintosh, get boot camp and install a windows partition.
Otherwise, STFU and go photoshop something you dirty hippies.

Fairly new to EVE and I can already see a pattern to these DT's, they get longer and longer with every post lol
As a network admin myself I can sympathise with CCP, the best laid plan can go **** up at any moment.

come over i will let you sign a contract where you accept that i will kill you with a headshoot anytime i want and you cant do anything about it because its a contract like a EULA and so its legaly binding
