Edited by: Traelox on 27/09/2010 18:16:14 first?
Edit: Confirmed!!! I was first!!!! Oh, this is a life-long dream, one that every forum-wannabe has every night over, and over, and over again. I was first to reply to a CCP post... it. feels. so. right!
I want to thank the academy, my agent, my other agent, my corp-mates, CCP, my company's IT dept, and you, the forum-members who made this all possible by being - at least today - just a little bit slower than me.
Ahhh... utter joy.
CCP - yo, thanks for the patch!

"Some graphics glitches on ATI cards have been fixed, notably the effects when the shader setting is set to high and the rendering of ship afterburners."
Does this include the flickering when "Occlude sun" is turned on?
"Users applying skill points directly to a skill would, in rare cases, show that two points were needed for next level when in fact only one point was needed. This helpful calculation has now been made more accurate."
Related to this, would it be possible to have those incorrectly adjusted skills readjusted to the right level. Granted, it's pure OCD, but it's just so annoying to see a bunch of skills marked as "in training" because you accidentally pushed them 1 SP over the level requirement. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

"Planetary Interaction gameplay remains unchanged."
Though I hope the changes to the UI code means there will be some much needed updates soon. I sure love how I almost trash my ships when I try to make them active...

This is cool and all but when is the fix for the Intel media accelerated 965 chip set going to come. It's getting really annoying having an unstable client and at the worst moment the client crashes. Please work with Intel to get this fixed.

That's awfully precise, I predict whines will start at 13:41.
Anyway, if you are going to be that precise, you could at least have made the expected completion time 13:37. Surely it's possible to shave off 3 minutes somewhere?

No ???-step needed. You don't even need half that to get something with a proper (aka non-intel) graphics card. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Does this mean the far more prevalent Mac gate jump crash has not been fixed? Or is it the same bug?

Quote: Because of this some UI settings, such as stacked windows, may not be preserved after the patching process.
Half of the times I log in all stacked windows are unstacked and/or resized. So that's nothing new. I got used to it, learned to live with it. Most of the time it doesn't even bother me any more. Most of the time.... |

I'm pretty sure that flipping an unsigned variable is considered an exploit in EVERY game... and it's not exactly a "perfectly normal use of math"... It's one of the more common oversights, and shouldn't have been possible, but using it is still obviously an exploit.

I don't want to start a holy war here, but what is the deal with you Mac fanatics? I've been sitting here at my freelance gig in front of a Mac (a 8600/300 w/4 Gigs of RAM) for about 20 minutes now while it attempts to warp a Megathron in Rens to another planet. 20 minutes. At home, on my C2D 1600 running Windows 7, which by all standards should be a lot slower than this Mac, the same operation would take about 2 minutes. If that. In addition, during this warp, the ingame browser will not work. And everything else has ground to a halt. Even the forum **** showcase on PL forums is straining to keep up as I type this. I won't bore you with the laundry list of other problems that I've encountered while working on various Macs, but suffice it to say there have been many, not the least of which is I've never seen a Mac that has run faster than its Wintel counterpart, despite the Macs' faster chip architecture. My Iteron Mk IV with an afterburner runs faster than this apple Vagabond at times. From a productivity standpoint, I don't get how people can claim that the Macintosh is a superior machine.
Mac addicts, flame me if you'd like, but I'd rather hear some intelligent reasons why anyone would choose to use a Mac over other faster, cheaper, more stable systems.

Your gig location sucks.

PI will continue to be terrible, until the Winter when they roll out an "expansion" in which it will have the new feature of not making your fingers bleed. Also, rockets MIGHT be fixed, but they can't commit to it, because like whoa that's a ton of work.
How exciting!
I'm quite impressed that they managed to patch the UI without making it better. CCP is an extraordinary company!

It's you. The 6 month graph seems to be taking data from 2007 and the past year graph is read backwards (most recent on the left) and all the other graphs are keeping steady, apart from the past 3 months, which dropped a bit in June but is now steady.

Is the new salvage ship going to be wrapped up with the fall expansion or with this patch?
