That's awfully precise, I predict whines will start at 13:41.
Estel, you underestimate the community. Because many people anywhere are clueless with timezones and especially because UK people are clueless with their own daylight savings time, whines will start at 12:41. It's been empirically proven over and over again.

I was really hoping for changes to Planetary Interaction, and perhaps the new Salvaging ship we've heard of in Help chat from the ISDs.
Oh, well. Still a really good game.
Should be in in 3 to 4 hours. See you all in Help Chat.

Stacked windows may not be preserved?
Does this mean that all the chat windows are going to open individually from now on?
If so... Fail.

Yet more time wasted due to PI,
Am i the only one that has realised PI is a complete waste of time and effort?
PI should never have been introduced in its current state.
And also, death to all MAC users, get windows.

Edit: Confirmed!!! I was first!!!! Oh, this is a life-long dream, one that every forum-wannabe has every night over, and over, and over again. I was first to reply to a CCP post... it. feels. so. right!
I want to thank the academy, my agent, my other agent, my corp-mates, CCP, my company's IT dept, and you, the forum-members who made this all possible by being - at least today - just a little bit slower than me.
Ahhh... utter joy.
CCP - yo, thanks for the patch!

[Insert here a premature and inane whine about update]
Yeah, I too hoped for PI UI revamp. Now it sucks balls so deep that only the Chinese ISK farmers are doing it. If even them.
But Eve still remains a great game. I have some inside knowledge and I happen to know that in the Winter expansion CCP will
1) give us new shiny ships; 2) buff rockets; 3) nerf dramiel; 4) get rid of learning skills; 5) take away T2 BPOs; 6) eradicate lag; 7) remove CONCORD and make all sectors null; 8) delete SCs and Titans; 9) make CCP a non-profit organization and make Eve free; 10) disband IT Alliance.

Originally by: Hakaru Ishiwara A bit underwhelmed by this patch. I wonder if the UI tweaks will fix the infernal chat issue that mashes up sequential chat lines so that they stack on top of one another and can only be fixed by re-sizing the chat window... or the issue where nested (and pinned) chat windows still become un-nested when made active (clicked) during a session change such as jumping a gate.
As it happens, for the mashing of sequential lines, changing (or not-changing but clicking on the same selection) the display of the characters in that channel seems to act as a temporary fix.

Half of the times I log in all stacked windows are unstacked and/or resized. So that's nothing new. I got used to it, learned to live with it. Most of the time it doesn't even bother me any more. Most of the time....
Same here ..weird thing is that it dont happen on one of my alts 'exact same settings to the T'

I'm pretty sure that flipping an unsigned variable is considered an exploit in EVERY game... and it's not exactly a "perfectly normal use of math"... It's one of the more common oversights, and shouldn't have been possible, but using it is still obviously an exploit.
This just confirms my hypotesis, ccp dosent actually do any testing before launching patches. They have test server. And seems to relay on principple "Were sure users will tell us if something is wrong". Are they even sure user feedback gets to them and dosent get barried deep in server somewhere?
And regarding flip variable, simple unit test would have catch that.

Click, click, click, click, click click, click... damn, I hoped there will be some changes to planetary interaction, like extractor grouping or something, because clicking is so tiresome...
Anyway, nice to see some changes.

Originally by: Arien Omnicron This is cool and all but when is the fix for the Intel media accelerated 965 chip set going to come. It's getting really annoying having an unstable client and at the worst moment the client crashes. Please work with Intel to get this fixed.
Turns out it was a driver issue. Dell attempts to force you to use their outdated drivers but I found a work around for installing drivers directly from intel. Problem solved.
http://i482.photobucket.com/albums/rr181/IsilZheHa/20081211102900.jpg
If anyone else is having this issue here is how you can resolve it.
Open regedit, find these two keys HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0000 and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0001, then delete the InfPath entries under them. Reboot and install drivers direct from intel.
I'm assuming you have a Dell, this was my workaround for the intel 965 chip-set and I can use Eve Premium without issues, My FPS is still low, however I have very few client-side issues. If you do have a dell this is your problem with the 965 chip set, if not go to the intel website and download the latest drivers for the card. Mine or Die. |

Yes, finding bugs after they have been found is surprisingly simple.
Its pretty obvious that CCP dont test. There is only ever one bug in software and testing always finds it!

Though I hope the changes to the UI code means there will be some much needed updates soon. I sure love how I almost trash my ships when I try to make them active...
This is an excellent idea... ccp are you listening....... give us a recommendations tab to make the game better. PI grouping of extractors kinda like your missles or lasers right......... another great idea. how about fixing the lag so when i jump into a system with a 20 man fleet and a red fleet on the other side, experience jump lag and end up in a station with a new body, i dont decide to start playing star trek or something.....
stop nerfing caldari jesus......... everyone knows amarr is the dps, caldari sucks for pvp if you fly minmatar you might as well hit your escape pod button and gallente does nothing right but drones. try to even the playing field abit. im just trying to fill space here :D i want a job ccp. give me one heck you already know my email look it up ill be good to you and work really hard. im military :D served 2 tours in iraq need a career and some isk er... i mean a dollars. i wouldnt say this in a real interview but im not expecting anything short or people sending me isk in game cause they think this is kinda funny hint. hint..... anyways ccp read these things we tell you and how hard would it be to incorporate into the game some of these fixes. heck pay me 12$ and hour and ill find a way to fix it just so i can enjoy the game alittle more. just saying I will not be held responsible for the effects of reading this post such as vomiting, blurry vision, hyperventilating, diarrhea, pimples, outburst of anger, sevier stupidity, and death |

Okay Is the patch upload late yet?I feel the need to complain and it is unfair to make us wait this long the should give a shortercompletion time so we can start complaining before it gets too late.
