Funny thing I noticed ... all the guys who think this patch is for free.
This patch is paied with your monthly subscription (and yes even when you use plexes there was at first money involved)
I think those kiddies unable to do simple business mathematics must be a dream for every manager

Would it be hard to put a utc timer n the client login screen ?

Edited by: Costly Misstake on 30/09/2010 16:05:51 Just a thought. How much of a problem would it be to put a UTC clock on the log-in page so ppl would know what the server time is, and therefore how long they had to wait?
I think that would have dealt with a good 40% of posts in this thread at one stroke.
Someone on the CSM throw this at CCP for me.
I have no connection to the previous post, lol

Windows Vista and 7 can add additional clocks in time and date settings. There is a tab called "Additional Clocks", just add one for UTC.

Why yes it would , that would mean the lemmings would have to chat about what to do to effect change if the didnt have the game clock to argue about

CCP, newer fails to extend extended downtime when it comes to patching game.
Im wondering how the heck they didint find this critical issue before going to patch live game server.
Any bets how many unscheduled downtimes we get within week after this patch? My quess: 3

There is an idea. Why not code space lemmings into the login screen so ppl have something to do with their time while they wait?
Id forgo Skillpoints of they give us a POD-a-CCP day everytime this happens.
Fight them until turmoil is no more and strike terror into their hearts. |

yeah you both are right, even better, client could get your local time and show a countdown or something, or just let it be EVE TIME, which surprisely is the same as UTC :P
"UTC does not change with a change of seasons, but local time or civil time may change if a time zone jurisdiction observes daylight saving time or summer time. For example, UTC is 5 hours ahead of local time on the east coast of the United States during winter, but 4 hours ahead during summer."
17:30 UTC -> 17:30 GMT (without daylight saving modification)
For me, GMT +2 with daylight saving, means 19:30.

Adida is just a forum lacky i don't think she is anything to do with the complex patch department as mostly her handy work as poped up editing forums posts telling people to watch there BUMPS in the char bazzarr and otherwise just trolling the forums and being a general grammer ****
