True. I guess some people do not realise you can copy the AppData\LOCAL\CCP\EVE\<profile name> directory to other computers. It's not hard, and we really don't need the extra lag and limitations just for lazy people.
A howto on the forums would be much better then making this server side.
However, it would be nice if the fit button worked properly when the items are already fitted in another ship slot :)

There are no "little alliances", there are only huge powerblocs in sov 0.0 now. As for renters, well if you want to get more rent from them, you'll have to take better space and rent it to them, wont you?
Guess what, big power blocs , dont go to war for ratting space that was like in 2004 or something.
Well if it's so unimportant, then what are you complaining for?

Agreed, however for fittings you do not even need that since you can export them via the fitting window to an xml file. Even easier. --

doesnt seem little to me, freaking awsome great adjustments that make players happy. I ll see your patches anytime over a sansha mom tbh!
cant wait to save fits on server, but allaince fits ? that woudl help bigtime ! a skill for remote reprocesing (lowers items in eve as they sell as mineral finally) rightclicking a person from overview u cant do " show info" if u coudl that could stop losses with oevrview big that appears alot missioners and plex people would luv to see tags have a more stable value according to their level, so a gold tag = worth xxx. best woudl be make them exchangable agianst loyalty points, it oudl spread peopel over different systems as tags arent the reaosn to do a specific misison anymore.
just soem thoughts

I would go further than this; go with three tags per faction; frigate, cruiser, and battleship. Vary number/drop chance to give the intended value.

Simply Awesome!
I would like to add:
First When dropping things into containers by dropping the item on the container Icon and the thing you are dropping is bigger than the item can hold, please allow us to slit the item, e.g. I drap 2 m tritanium onto a GSC and it simply denies me, very frustrating part of what I loved as a concept.
Second You can delete bookmarks off right click, could you please, please, please allow us to EDIT them as well, e.g. I am in a wh, I scan down a wormhole, bm it then head there and realize it is a k162, I want to ADD k162 to the BM without having to go to P&P etc.
Best regards, AG AGAIN AWESOME WORK!

If you look at curent power blocks map. DRF controls most of the good systems after the change. CASEROL controls about same amount of good usystems as NC but has no technetium moons and retiers are their main source of income.
My prediction is that NC and DRF will remain as they are more or less. CASEROL either disbands or ceases to be a major 0.0 player. They already have smallest active supercap fleet witout their rentiers... PL or Goonswarm coalition will claim delve if anoms gen will treat broken truesec as -1.

Majority of these things are good and appreciated, except this one
Quote: As a part of the "equal value space makes this game boring" initiative, we've changed the way anomalies work. The quality of anomalies will depend on the systems truesec - the better the truesec, the better the spawns. CCP Greyscale is writing a blog on this exact change, coming soonTM
But I addressed it in the associated thread.

Quote: 0.0 truesec will now be displayed in the same manner empire truesec is. We made this change since anyone with access to the internet (that means you) has access to that data through evemaps and other sources.
Sorry for the noob question but how is the truesec value displayed in empire space? Seems to me to still be the one decimal, rounded-up figure...? Also, is this going to make low-sec exploration more rewarding and worthwhile?

Instead of having "default" and "mining, you'll now have "general", "pvp", "WarpTo", "loot", "mining", "drones" and "all". Hell yes.
...I like it :) When you have multiple chars setting this up for them is painful...good job.

Great improvements!
Can you please add the ability for miners to determine which mining laser is active on which asteroid? Like if you click on a targeted asteroid that has a mining laser on it, it would highlight the mining laser in the HUD. That would be awesome!
This could potentially apply more broadly for any ship components that target other objects - weapons, electronic warfare, etc.

Just add a nice little "number" near eacht target and turret. Just plain simple. Not flashy but it works. (Think about how the T2 icons are marked with the "II" in the corner.) - Dude where is my Charon? - |

One "little thing" that has annoyed me for YEARS now, is this bug(?) with window snapping automatically moving and resizing windows whenever you open a new window over the top of an existing one.
Eg. I open my character sheet (normally positioned on the right side of the screen) while in space, and instantly both that and my overview are suddenly moved and resized to prevent overlap, on the right side of the screen, totally ruining my overview setup. Or, I do the same in station, and the same thing happens with the station window!
Will this ever be fixed? Or do I just have to live without turning on "Snap to" ever...? I like Snap to.. I just hate it messing with all my windows all the time..

would be so great if damaged items gave a visual clue to their damaged state, like a reddish tint, or, like the tech II tag, have a tag with a crack shown on it.
Even better would be if you could sort by damaged/non damaged.
Having the repackage procedure skip things without failing is great.
But so, now you've repackaged 7634 items out of 8000 successfully, you'd still have a bear of a time picking out the stuff that needs repairing, no?
As for your hint of Blueprint work in progress: very nice... the least would be an icon tag or color variation for Original Blueprints, having copies and originals look identical, with not even a mouse-over tool-tip is horrific!
A mouse over Tooltip with basic bp info could be pretty cool.
Even better, make it possible to copy the required materials and paste them elsewhere, like into the notepad...

Edited by: onyu on 02/04/2011 15:12:45 [Quote=CCP Soundwaves] NPC jamming has been updated and streamlined. They should all work with the same functionality and you can fit countermeasures. In other news, jamming NPCs are still annoying.
yeah, so even CCP knows they're annoying... can you just replace it with something else?
If something is annoying with zero benefit to make up for the annoyance, it would seem a perfectly good reason to just remove it.
After all, people don't play eve for grinding npc's, which in itself is already annoying. Why make it three times as annoying for ~1/3 of your players? Can you find some other ability those NPC's can use?
Even if you just copy some ewar ability from Sansha, angels or Drones, I bet not one person will be complaining about lacking variety. Madness is taking its toll, please have exact change ready. |

CCP Soundwave seems to be talking sense this time!! About time ;sort out the annoying little bugs woot!!!! I like what IM reading in this thread "unlike what CCP Greyscale is trying to do! has he been drug tested FYI ? lol however in the past ccp have been guilty of coming up with seriously cool tweaks and then bottling it as time comes nearer to actual implementation i hope u guys are going to stick by your guns on this potential development The games come on huge amounts since i begun playing back in 2006 some great others not so but this focus on small things is really what is needed. Along with again my issue with moon goo but not for hear my plain *****ing on this subject is getting boring :P In all good ideas keep up the good work SW Ps i think u need pink hair and gottie for next years fan fest "Players campain maybee"

In terms of the high-end sites that high-end players are after - Havens and Sanctums for normal factions, and Hordes for drones - the break-even compared to the current system's maximum of four is around the 3rd and 4th band (-0.5 to -0.8 space), which are -1 and +1 respectively. Below this, things get worse (0.0 to -0.2 systems won't get any high-end sites after the change), but the -0.9 to -1.0 band can potentially gain an extra six top sites with full upgrades. 26 of the 34 regions have at least one system in this security band, with half having 5 or more. So let me get this right?:
0.0 to -0.2 = no high ends -0.3 to -0.4 = 2 high ends -0.5 to -0.6 = 3 high ends -0.7 to -0.8 = 4 high ends -0.9 to -1.0 = 5 to 6 high ends
something like that with full upgrades?

NO. Blobs make this game boring - and unplayable... You are just adding to the problem.
Equal value space = many small entities fighting. Most of 0.0 useless again = Massive lag blobs fighting for the few worthwhile bits.
.. I hardly ever even do anoms, I am just worried about the consequences of this change.
That is not what Dotlan has tracked for the last 2 years...
Reverse what you just typed and remove your carebear bias for static complexes. As the big guys slug it out for the big fields, the smaller alliances find their own Providences, and not get invade for their crap moons, except when their poorer neighbour notices.
I called you a liar. GOOD DAY SIR.
And for the rest of you. Renter corps are not people! They take what you give them, or they would be the head of their alliances... Creative Customer Person 7 |
