Well as promised m0o/sin came into Venal after TTI. Totallng a first fleet of 4-5 m0o/sin ships they were stopped by a fleet in the amount of 40 ships. So they docked and logged. Only to return and hide in mid warp, and then to log again. Well shortly after the Venal Alliance forces disbanded they made their return. Stavros, Shallos and 2 other sinister members decided to block a station. Which resulted in a all out battle. Resulting in Shallos's scorpion going down! (thanks for the goodies, but should have been better on a battleship) and the loss of a TTI battleship (which he has replaced already). Great fighting by both sides.

Skirmishes in Venal:

MDW "sources" indicate that a couple of "small scale skirmishes" took place in Venal during which a total of three battleships were lost.

These included a TTi Apocalypse-Class Battleship piloted by "Tolstoy" and a, as yet unidentified, Dominix-Class Battleship belonging to others in the VA.

TTi also suffered the loss of a number of Cruiser-Class ships but suceeded in destroying the Scorpion-Class Batttleship of pilot "Shollos" from the piratical m0o-corporation.

All sides reported high levels of "galactic radiation" causing delays to ship controls.

Perhaps most interesting was that TTi could only muster two battleship-class ships in what must surely now be regarded as "their back yard."

- - -

The "Venal Alliance" is a piratical Alliance that claims sovereignity over the Venal regions and includes the "Mega-Corp" of TTi as one of its constinuent members.

"m0o-corp" are self-styled "pseudo-anarchic pirates" who recognise no boundaries and no sovereignity.

Say all you want about TTI, what matters is we (the VA) were attacked by the most feared pirate corp in Eve and we held our ground while our attackers retired from the field of battle. It means even more when you're paid a complement along the lines of "You're not the pushovers we thought you'd be."

I feel we earned a measure of respect last night.

Carebears? Maybe, but these carebears can kill you.

The dominix lost last night was not part of the venal alliance. Just a poor miner caught in the crossfire.

I wouldnt call these small scale when the Venal Alliance had a total of 50 ships in gang and about 40 sitting outside the station waiting for lord zap to log back on and fight.

OoC:

@Berd and to all TTi - please stop playing the "injured and aggrieved misunderstood party whom the big bad press is out too get"... it is truly pathetic.

If youa re going to play this role then at least ROLEPLAY it ftlog.

- -

fwiw I received 7 eve-mails detailing events in Venal.

3 from TTi; the first of which claimed 3 m0o battleships were destroyed by TTi for the loss of no ships at all.

The other two also claimed no losses to TTi battleships but only claimed 1 m0o ship killed.

A different source from within the VA gave me the details above AND those details were identically corroborated by a source in m0o.

If you happen to have a better way of corroborating the events then feel free to suggest them - otherwise take the "attitude" elsewhere.

A "biased" report would have read;

"TTi lies exposed in claims of 3 m0o battleships destroyed for no losses!"

Would that suit you better?

No e-mail claiming such was sent, i suggest you contact your local specsavers or something.

We lost no cruisers but did indeed take the loss of 1 Apoc class Battleship, and m0o lost 1 Battleship (scorpion).

I was not there unfortunatley, but i have been assured the above information is correct, and most importantly all parties had fun, nice going m0o/sin/VA.

I don't think that's correct. I was not there, but from information I heard from the people involved that Dominix was not a member of the Venal alliance or the m0o/sinister invaders, and I believe that the m0o guys killed it, but if they hadn't the Venal Alliance probably would have. I heard it was someone who made the mistake of thinking there's such a thing as "neutral" in Venal. :)

The losses for the two main sides included one amarr battleship from TTI and Shollos's scorpion from Sinister. I'm not sure on other cruiser losses, but I lost one of my blackbirds a couple hours earlier as they were entering Venal, when I jumped Lord Zap's battleship at a gate and successfully jammed him, only to find that he was not the only enemy battleship in town. :P

That's also not correct. Only a couple of corporations within the Venal Alliance engage in piracy--the rest are peaceful corporations who have claimed this territory and are willing to defend it to create a familiar and safe community for their members within. Most corporations in the Venal Alliance have absolutely nothing to do with the external pirating activities of a few of the other members, such as Space Invaders.

I dont care if only 1 Corporation engages in open piracy - it has pirates as welcome members and is therefore a Piratical Alliance.

It is an Alliance with Pirates. Fact. Live with it and don't try to sugar-coat it.

As it happens it is more than one corporation and if the VA isnt piratical it might want to reconsider having:

"Paid Visitor Passes (Expire):
NO SUCH THING Pirate them or otherwise remove them from region"

stuck on their Neocom site.

Hrm... and even if the VA does have a pirate corp member (not saying it does either way... this is hypothetical) who cares? Eve isn't about morals, it's about power and control. If you fool yourself into thinking about things on moral terms you are going to need a bit of a reality adjustment.
