Great name by the way.
The issue with Human Rights is that they are a collection of views built on extending somebody's current perspective into a utopian ideal. Not that there is anything wrong with Utopian ideals of course. They don't deal with the ground rules for when we don't agree on things and it's certainly not a democratically established bill of human rights ratified by referendum by individuals.

The difference is, only Barbie is the one getting called out for it while He-man is not. Nobody expects little boys to become He-man.
no, it just demands that they meet other stereotypes, most revolving around contributing resources to a female.
Society on the other hand regularly encourages young girls to put appearance above other considerations.[/quote] Half of society generally spends a lot of time trying to tell young girls that appearance is totally unimportant, and that they are entitled to be considered beautiful regardless of their appearance or behavior because males are somehow not allowed to find attractive what they find attractive. The other half knows this is complete nonsense and tells young girls if they want to be attractive, they need to be attractive. No amounts of screeching is going to make it reasonable or practical for males to shut off their biology.

I wish it was possible to make a more realistic looking fat guy. And I mean FAT. And give him a grubby looking wifebeater with food stains on it. Drool and acne for facial accessories. |

If I'm going to be spending endless hours staring at a person's body or their portrait, I want it to be pleasing to me.
The same goes for my male toons... I am heterosexual but I still appreciate good looking features. Besides, it's in people's nature to associate good qualities with beauty, and may inadvertently give me a slight rub in the vast scheme of things.

I for one can say also I have two female alts as well. BUT how they turn out is something I try to accomplish in as far as looks go. I picture in my mind what I think I want to see in the end but then I get some ideas even before I go to the Character Creation screen. When I decide on what race to create then I try to put into perspective what I want as I go along creating.
Each one takes a bit of time but the results are what I finally come up with and believe me they do look pretty good. Just a touch of makeup, hair that looks right and color, even with the limited choices of clothing I still come out looking like a winner [insert Pirate here] and usually I am satisfied in the end. |

YAR!! As I said on my main I take a lot of care in creating my female alts, not so much as being super model types with big b***s or skinny waist and big hind end, but rather letting my imagination run until you see the result on the left here at my portrait. |

*Sigh* and finally, this alt of mine has exactly what I wanted to come out with and believe me I think I did right well. The pose makes me sassy as h***, but underneath is a kind, friendly, a heart of gold, always there kind of person I chose to portray. With again, the right amount of makeup and hair style, and again the right clothing a male in RL can do pretty darn good creating something he can be proud of.

OP- I can say unequivocally I would, if I had female characters, make them with skinny waists and med to big racks... shrug. We like em. Get over it. |

If there was a slider for the male "attributes" in EVE I'm pretty sure half of the players, male and female, would be Long Dong Silver. People enjoy to exaggerate said "attributes".

Player created content + Emergent gameplay = big tittilations.
Player Attitributes are a great addon to creative gaming. Breast animation and physics is a cause of great concern for game developers, who are rumoured to be mostly male.
As an aside...
We seem to have been media trained to think of cosmetic updates as having something to do with breasts.
It's funny how female avatars can have multifarious bulging, almost mutant forms, yet cosmetic updates for ships are much more strictly governed, I can hardly tell some of the painted ships have been near a paintbrush.
Perhaps if there was a way to design ships and only the owner could see the ship then we could have as free ranging design possibilities as currently exist for our big bosomed sisters. ~ ~~ Thinking inside Schrodinger's sandbox. ~~ ~ |

Aya Shinomiya wrote:Dear EVE Online players,
When I am bored a little bit I often click around and look at the characters you guys have created. One thing according to the female characters is very ... prominent: It seems you guys mostly like big racks and half naked, skinny bodies.
I know that with a probability of 80 to 90% a man created the character. I am not a feminist. I think this a firstly a questions of aesthetics which of course depends on personal views. But I ask myself is this the imagination you have how a woman should be? This is not an attack on you guys. And I do not want to start a discussion of what you all thing is beautiful. I only wanted to show a conspicuity.
I do not tell you what to do. EVE Online is a free game for which you all pay. You can do what you want. I only wanted to give my opinion.
Regards.
I prefer women to look like women, as for a game avatar, I don't care what it looks like its an avatar it is nothing related to my view of women or how I treat them.
However there are a lot of mouth breathers, neck beards, aspies and various cultures of people who think using the R word for killing someone overwhelmingly (not as bad a FPS players) is acceptable so maybe they think think the ladies look good.
But I will say I do like big boobs, does this mean I devalue women without or not in RL. Nope.
