No, it's nothing like Godwin's Law, because where Godwin's Law is grounded in an observed logical fallacy, Lewis' Law is not. People are going to disagree with you, that is inevitable, you do not need to write a law about it.
As for the **** jokes, while they are not something I personally regard as funny, they are protected under free speech whether you like it or not. Actual **** is criminal, the jokes are not. Well, when I sculpted this character, her breasts were in the average range. One day I wanted to put on my fancy new Right Arm 'Nature' Tattoo and I noticed that my bust size had increased to, quite frankly, a ridiculous proportion. I poked around a bit and it seems that CCP modified some of the configuration stuff for the female bodies so that some of the clothing would fit better, and re-rendered everyone. This resulted in a mega-rack for quite a lot of people. Not what I really wanted.
That's what I heard through the grapevine anyway, haven't seen it 100% confirmed.
Has anyone attempted a petition for a resculpt? Was it successful? I don't really want this character to look like she's about to fall over at any moment. CCP Sreegs is my favorite developer. |

You seem to think I propose jail time for people who make **** jokes. I don't. Also, you keep using the expression "free speech". I think it means something else than you think it does.

I never said anything about ******, and whether he was a vegetarian or not is irrelevant. What you are doing now is simultaneously shifting the goalposts and making a strawman. You claim my 'reaction' was 'typical' for something, but, you didn't actually specify how.
And what you think something means is irrelevant to what it actually means. There are actually laws surrounding freedom of speech and expression, so you can look them up and find out for yourself. In the end, though, what you think is irrelevant to what is and what should be. You don't scare me. I've been to Jita. |

Regards. I am a man in real life, does my char's lack of big boobs etc mean that I am gay? Oh, and if you are a real life woman, why the hell are you not a feminist, do you not want equal rights etc for women?
I mean the average female character not all. But nearly 80% of all is saw so far. I am a man, too. In my country feminism is a little bit out of control this time, so I say it with a slightly negative sound. But no, in my eyes men and woman are and should be - depending on the culture which one should respect - fully equal in rights and social position. I have my own opinion of the role of men and woman in the society but this is not the topic hear. |

Let me ask a question: If you (would be a female and) could design the male you want - would it be ugly as hell? Would he have small genitals? Would he be a big, fat and hairy bear with a tiny pen*s? I seriously doubt it, and I think most women would indeed create a male character they would like to look at aswell.
With this in mind - what's the point in making this thread anyway? |

The way I see it, feminism is, by it's nature, sexist, because it is focusing on one sex by it's very definition. However, this is just an opinion, but it bases the way I think in things regardless.
When it comes to games, everyone on that game is a gamer. They're not a male gamer, or a female gamer, just a gamer. Their gender is irrelevant to me. Also, gender roles in games only exist in the imagination of the players. How they are cast is irrelevant, for the most part.
When it comes to rights, sure, there is definitely still some inequality in society, but it's still not incredibly well established where that inequality is rooted, or why. That is, it cannot just be blamed on men or a 'patriarchy' as a be-all and end-all solution, because blame is not a solution. You don't scare me. I've been to Jita. |

Regards. No oversized rack. No cleavage. Decent and realistic body type/size. Looks more like a badass, not a *****. Male player.
I don't know about the rest of the player base, but I made and RP this character as the exact opposite of myself IRL. I'm currently taking bets on the following: - CCP Games becomes EA Games' property. - EVE Online will have Microtranctions everywhere. |

Hard to answer. Especially according to the reply of Remiel Pollard about the border between fiction and reality. No, I would not make a ugly guy. But what is ugly and beautiful lies in the eyes of the viewer. If I create a character it always flows in some ideals of what I find beautiful. But if I have a so complex character creator like in EVE Online I try to create a so realistic character as possible. And in reality not all woman have big breasts and are skinny. I am not a fan of this ideal of beauty. So this was the main intention of this thread, maybe. Will lead to some replies I guess. |

I dunno, I just can't get upset over this issue. In fact, my husband and I laugh about it and we will occasionally share over-the-top avatars with each other to have a laugh about. It's a game, we're all here to have fun.

That is right. The gender is choosen very late in the development of an unborn child. But I think it is more a symbol for fertility. We are all still driven by instincts. |

Heh. Many years ago, my husband wanted to know why I giggled about his characters. So I finally broke down and told him how very, very easy it was for us women to pick out a toon that was created by a man/boy. He actually took it to heart, and makes his toons a bit more... realistic, let's say.
But yeah... overly muscular and as tall as toons can be made? Boy with the wrong idea of what attractively masculine is or man with insecurity issues. BIG rack and tiny waist? Nearly always a male player behind the keyboard (although I have knows some on line seductresses who... well, let's not go there).

In reality some woman are skinny with big breasts after having implants usually. These woman are considered beautiful because being fat is sloppy and unhealthy. And big breasts is good for babies. This is whats beautiful though any ugly chick can find a guy that will get horny for her.

In reality there are varieties of female bodies and this is good. To be too skinny or to be too fat is both unhealthy. But this is not the topic here. What I hate are anorexic girls and woman, Botox, chirugic changed faces or artificial implants only to fit into some weared Hollywood beauty ideal. This is simply sick in my eyes. You can argue with me whether this is the case or not but in my eyes many female characters in EVE Online follows this "ideal". |
