I still remember that time when your girlfriend needed your attention for a few minutes, you forgot that you were jumping through a gate and when you came back you found yourself podded. Instead of being reasonable and buying a new frigate from the 50 billion ISK in donations that you have you decided to tear your girlfriend apart on stream in front of all your viewers for daring to talk to you.
That's the kind of thing you do every night when someone new to Eve comes on your stream and dares to ask a question "What's going on?", snapping at them for asking a question that anyone new would want to ask.
Also learn to take criticism, banning and giving viewers abuse might seem funny to your group of die hard fans but it doesn't look so good to everyone else that sees it. |

So I was initially on the "Hire Ani!" bandwagon, but after reading this thread, I really have to change my vote. Ani introduced me to the game but I really think there are better people out there for it.
CCP really does need to have more player events and stream them with good commentary though. I would love to see some newb PVP fleets going at each other. |

Was going to post something like this myself but yours is too good so I will quote for truth.
From my experience being in the stream on 2 big fights there was no talk about the fight itself, it was just you talking about yourself and asking for donations and playing ads while every few minutes you would tell a random new person asking "What is going on" to go watch some other highlight as you wont explain it again for them.
Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows. |

I'm sure CCP has people who can do this way better than mad ani. If CCP wanted a 24 hour afk stream with music they would have one, they dont need ani. This is not a resume, and not how you apply for a job. The players don't decide who gets hired, that's CCP's job.

I would still believe that players' opinions have weight in such decisions (application based on publicity).
I don't think CCP sees streaming music/events directly related to their game. And 8000 concurrent viewers vs. 30 000-40 000 concurrent players online in EVE, it's quite an amount.
Then again I believe a job application works better than forum posts but who knows! |

There's a saying, from whom I can't credit since I can't remember who said it, but it goes like this:
"Never listen to what fans think you should do. 99% of fans are idiots. And never give fans what they want, because then they'll just keep asking for more."
This is a classic case of this statement being true. No one truly impartial thinks this is a good idea, just Mad Ani's fans. There's literally dozens of reasons why CCP simply shouldn't do this. I'll copy paste some things I posted elsewhere on the subject....
