I agree that it'd be a good investment from the CCP side of things, no idea how much money CCP spends on marketing on a years basis, but I'm sure there's nothing quite as effective for gathering new players as a 24/7 twitch stream. Especially since you only have to hire one person. |

I think mad ani has done a great job to build the numbers and following he has. That said there are a few points to consider.
1) mad ani has good numbers some pay to sub most support via watching ads in stream. So that said does this revenue bring in enough money to support Mad Ani with out the need for a regular income?
2)If not then how/why should ccp make the difference?
3)Could the same thing not be taken up by the community team and even make it better by showing FW matches of dust and the fleets trying to flip systems? After all they will have use of dev tools to get spectator mode for better angles and such. Especially when you consider the twitch integration coming with rubicon expansion.
Personally I think Ani should get props for what he has done is great but to come out with a "hey I need to get paid if you want this to continue" is a bit brash. Everyone needs to earn a living so do what you have to do. What may have been better would be is set up your own network of prolific eve streamers and run it like a tv station / share the times with someone else.
If the community then championed you to CCP for employment then all well and good but to come out and say hey my viewers think you should hire me so I can do this full time is bad form. You don't see other couminity sites that have 24 hr content doing this?
Good luck Ani I wish you well with your campaign. I also hope you keep up the great work you are doing with twitch streaming and such. |

I re-subbed 9 of my accounts due to seeing ani stream some amazing fights. As a businessman myself i see the only real factor here as financial. Does CCP think the attention ani brought to the game has generated enough real life money to justify employing him full time? It seems to me that there have been people hired at CCP for less.
Bias really is not a factor as well as ani was the first major streamer to record and entertain 24 hours a day. It seems his experience doing this has proven that he can act properly in front of large crowds and that alone is a good reason to hire him a as media correspondent for things like eve meet ups, alliance tourneys and so on. |

As a friend of Mad Ani and moderator of his Twitch and in-game channels I would love for CCP to hire him.
He has put loads of work into streaming and shows us the best battles in EVE, which is something he is in my opinion the best at!
A lot of CCP members watch his stream as well which shows that they really do want the stream to continue. |

Is there a voting system? If not then take this as a vote towards CCP Ani, The Official news broadcaster for CCP. Do you know how many new things you can do with Simon? Weekly news reports which can be integrated into the station screens, as well as live streams which people can check in game instead of only being able to read about system updates from FW, and much more!!!! I know at least 20 people who started playing EvE because of Ani's streams :D

Considering how Mad_Ani has been mentioned before on official CCP streams regarding Rubicon as one of the well known.
