I remember there being an offer of signing up for P2 and then petitioning for your main to get moved over to take advantage of the deal. I've been waiting about 3-4 days now (After I activated my P2 account) for this to happen... I've reread the sticky and now it looks like that is not an option. Any chance of this happening any time soon, or can I expect another email from CCP stating "We haven't looked at your problem yet".
I whine cause the character I was doing this for accounts expired, yet I'm stuck in noobville till that happens...
Thanks, any information would be grand!

I think you'll find that A) Paying with Splash Plastic works out at the same price as paying with paypal, and B) If you bothered to try it, you'll find that it would take, oh, about the same time as setting up a paypal account.
You can add cash straight onto your account during setup so you don't have to wait for the card to be sent out.

1) please read that first and look at the payment bit 2) please do not tell me what i should and should not do with my own money, i like payment with paypal because it was just as cheap as anything else, it was instant and also i was not paying money to spend my money. i do not want to go try out a differnt system even if its cheaper, paypal is what is easiest for me and the card i'm using. so please before you make a post like, think before you post.

I added it as a linky. I agree with you there, their charges for using it are a little extortionate, especially if you only use it for the odd purchase here and there.
IIRC, Paypal charge per transaction and it's only something like 50p so a casual user like me may pay something like 1 or 2 UKP per month at most.

Wrangler, I've a suggestion: Find out who is paying by PayPal and send them an email with updates. Let people know that you're working on it as much as you really are, as right now I'm guessing a fair few people don't realise how much of a problem this is for you.
On another note: PayPal still isn't there.. ETA?

Paid PayByCash by bank transfer this time last week. They claim to have passed the details on to CCP but my account is not active. It dies today :( Can anyone look into this? what sort of company won't allow its customers to buy?

Thats not true, CCP has no plans to stop accepting PayPal. There is a billing problem at their end for CCP and another MMOG company, hopefully they'll sort it out soon.

Some things have really annoyed me about this
The sheer lack of input from either CCP officials or people of real importance that can give us concise answers to our questions.
Also though some people said it, this is not just a "minor" problem this is going to cost alot of people there entire use of the game(me for one), for that reason i do believe that it needs to be more widely publicised it took me a long time to actually find this forum. Obviously if i wanted to know how proud CCP are of breaking yet another peak user record THAT I can find on the homepage.
The fact no real alternative has been offered to the affected parties, what can we do accept be forced to sign up to other payment options and give out yet more details to yet more companies?
This has been a terrible show of customer support i have read through almost all 8 pages of this forum and there is still very little clue of how/when this will be fixed just a hell of a lot of finger pointing

Well, i took the splashplastic advice, hoping it would only take as long as paypal did, but after paying ú8.50 in charges to get the account set up, i find i have to use the number on the card that is being sent out to me in the post, not my splashplastic account web login.
I.e. I have to wait 7-10 working days to get to that number! I have 8 working days left before my account is deleted because of the six months without play. It'll be a miracle if it arrives on the 7th day and paybycash sends CCP notification in that day.
What the smeg am i going to do?  There'll be no starting again; goodbye eve. Can i petition to ask for any kind of help with saving my account?
P.S. I've some money in a paypal account, i read people were sending paypal emails to a ccp paypal account, and it would be a matter of days before they were claimed. Where can i find out more about that, i've never read that from ccp.

mcrayJ you really are not help anyone by making a post like that, people can not pay for a service they where able to before, can you blame them for being alittle ****ed at CCP. anyways as i said its not CCP flaut, we all know that, just theres alittle miss infomation from CCP from there side with very little infomation on what has happened, i personally had to find out from paybycash on the details of what happened.
the thing that is most annoying is the fact that we the customers have to wait for the "big" companys to play it out so we can get are product in which we are paid for, and please don't post "you cant pay so no you have'nt" because we payed to get are accont in the first place to play the game, knowing policys like i do i think this is going to take around a month or 2 to fix yet, because the people who make the policys are normally take around 6 months to a year to make and correct them. so looks like we are going to have to wait this one out.

I found a GTC supplier through doing a google search for eve time code and they are actually slightly cheaper than pay by cash too and they accept paypal whether verified or not.

And CCP/PBC/whoever people are blaming now, this is getting ridiculous. I got a free week and I thank CCP for that, but this problem cannot be so serious it can't be fixed in under a month!

I used my old paypal account, as long as you have an established account i guess, they're brill.
They have a live chat javascript type thingy for customer service, so i clicked it and a human being made sure it was all ok with me and sent the code to me there and then.

This wont work, due to the new type of splash plastic card.
Eve requires the old 16 digit SP card not the new 360 money one. I found this out after 1) paying 6.99 for the card, 2) putting ú40 on it, 3) Then waiting 7 days for it to arrive, just to find it wont work.
The old card is not longer being distributed.
As has been suggested before, use www.gamegoody.com as they accept Paypal, and it was cheeper than most other options (Gotta love the USD->GBP exchange rate).

for all UK user that used paypal, i found a nice little pre-paid internet card via Splash Plastic, this will get you a card, and you need to use paypoint to top it up, paidbycash use this. i hope this help out anyone on here |

I'm a verified registered Pay-Pal user and no, I can't pay with Pay-Pal either.

An update would be really sweet, i still have 15 days left on my account,but i wanted to start another one.. i cant, due to the paypall problem. And the way this is going, i'll run out of time eventually.
Can we please have some official word on this? Being kept in the dark for weeks on end is.. frustrating at best.

I'm not quite keen on buying things from a 3rd party website, but since paypal is my only paying option I guess I'll have to. I'm on a trial account and would like to join EVE, can I buy a 30 day full access from GameGoody.com? It's much cheaper than what CCP charges so I'm kinda hesitant on buying it (rather be safe than sorry).
If not then I guess CCP will be losing another would-be player... *sigh*
