If you need to reply to the auto reply to keep your petition open, it isn't always necessary to reply to auto replies, the instruction on how to do it is in their email. This thread doesn't really make people aware of it (especially those who don't read the forums), and I bet a few people are coming up to their final days nand suddenly realising they can no longer pay for the game. I'm lucky I dug my way through this thread and found it before my account expires, because atm I can no longer pay for it either.

It seems that it is accepting Electron if you chose the Visa option from the card list. I'm not sure if this is a new thing that CCP have done in response to the amount of people caught out by this Paypal issue but it would have been nice for them to tell us. I hope this isn't a further glitch in their billing system and my account doens't go splat now when they find out what I've done. This is a big deal for us and if those of us with debit cards instead of credit cards can pay this way, we will all be grateful to CCP for allowing it. Not only is it cheaper for us than paying both Paybycash and Paypal for their service as well as our sub to CCP, but it also means that we can do it much quicker and easier and get back into playing faster than the Paybycash method which has to wait until PBC notifies CCP that we have paid. Damn... Should have posted as Drizit. This character is my second account

Nobody answered just auto respone i the meanwhile 2 of them has been solved (actually nothing happened). thats why i wanna know how should i reply to the replies?

Thanks I was under the impression that all debit cards that have an electron/visa symbol will work like CC anyway, and that it was always possible to pay that way.

Works just as a VISA credit card except there's not credit on it, it's just tied to my bank account. And when I first got EVE I had no problems paying with it, that was a few years ago though. Laughlyn Vaughns	Posted - 2006.03.13 10:48:00 - [112] from what i know u can use Visa Debit cards like Visa Electron because its still a Visa card and they will authorize it even if no funds in the account as u need to be over 18 to have a Visa card of any type, the only problem is things like Solo/Switch/Maestro cards as these are available to people from 13 yrs upwards in the UK and so they cant be charged if there is no money in the account due to a child/minor being unable to have credit (or summat along them lines - all thanks to ma GF's sister who works for RBS)

I got my VISA electron on one of Halifax's 'Cardcash' accounts at 16. And my brother got one of his 'Expresscash' account at 15, the expresscash accounts start from 14. ... And Wrangler I will at the end of the month when my account runs out, but if somebody tries in the meantime then let us know :)

If it has the Visa logo on it then it may be ok if it just has the Electron logo in the corner it may be classed as a seperate payment type

Visa have Delta, which is a semi-credit card as it is not pre-authorised so you can spend what you don't have for a week or so before it's stopped. Electron and Solo versions are pre-authorised and you cannot use it unless there is money in the account to cover it. There was a big outcry some time ago about the pre-authorised cards because Visa were charging for the service so many shops and garages etc stopped accepting it. I think Solo is slowly being phased out though, I have not seen it so often now, it's mostly Electron. Yes, I used the card and the account is still running so it's nearly a week and my account hasn't been pulled because I used the card. I appears Electron is now a valid method of payment for Eve. I know it wasn't some time ago which is why I had to use Paybycash. Not only is it cheaper, it's also a lot quicker since I paid for the account at 11:45 am and logged in and was playing by the end of DT that same day, so within 20 minutes it had been processed and accepted. I just hope CCP don't withdraw the service for Electron when (if) they manage to smooth it over with Paypal again. -- My idea of an OS is one that Operates the System, not a complete package of every piece of software ever written. Only thing is I could not get in from the character selection screen for the ported character from the new account until after the down time. Then it was ok. Also peeps make sure you promptly delete the email Eve sends you after getting the new account as it contains both your username and password! As you know email is easily compromised.
