Unsure if its already been posted but what the hell.
If at all possible try this.
Initiate warp and as you are picking up speed switch missiles to T2 precision missiles.
Due to the penalty of these missiles they will reduce your max speed. If done correctly your current speed will actually be faster then your new max speed and you will insta warp.

Don't they take 10 seconds to load?

One is the use of logging as a tactic to make every freighter run completely safe. This is frowned upon by the serious players, but used by nearly all of them.
The other is a more secret tactic that removes the need to make freighter runs at all, which lets you take 450k m3 from the farthest south system in the game to the farthest north system in the game safely in half an hour, with the help of alts, at a cost of about 20mil. This has been tested, but not entered into the general knowledgebase yet, and I'll confirm it when it goes out.
Using a carrier for logistics. Dirt cheap.

Yes but its all about timing. Plus some ships take a damn long time to warp.
If you have it timed right it helps.
Only do this on the bigger ships.
Sometimes you have to start the switch before you start the warp.
Depends alot on skills and ship so this isn't for everyone. ------------------------------------------- Famous last words: "Hey kids, watch this!" |

Then it'd work about the same as using an MWD to kick yourself into warp.

Originally by: Ral Ulgur I forgot: When collecting loot that is far away, bookmark the can, warp out, then warp to the bookmark (doesn't work in deadspace of course!). Save alot of time!
However, if you bookmark cans in a mission and complete the mission you can warp to the cans afterward, even if the mission was Deadspace.

When moving to a distant system in EVE, in an interceptor or any travel-friendly ship/setup, put your mwd in the top left slot or the F1-slot and put something heavy on your f1 button and go afk and eat or watch TV or something, in stead of sitting there using instas or mwd'ing every time you start approaching a gate.
I love x-mas :D |

I love this! I always wondered why my autopilot was so damn stupid and didn't automatically enage my MWD. I must have a cheap Enzer auto pilot.

Edited by: Martin Mckenna on 09/05/2006 08:15:32 just 1 thing before i say this one. i aint used it against an enemy pos. a corp member did this by mistake to his own
Take a small control tower in a hauler
Warp into a pos just before downtime(like 10 seconds before)
Jet the POS into space next to the other pos and warp back out
The POS will then go crazy trying to kill this control tower but the server shutdown will prevent this.
When the server reboots warp back to the pos and you will find that everything on the other pos is offline becuase the game gets confused what pos guns and things are meant to be on.
Btw ccp i think you guys should fix that one
I sent a bug report in with it
edit: btw dont try this at home or i think it could be a ban

How to deal with prarie dogs:(Development credit goes to Cpt Pugwash)
Prarie Dog = someone who undocks, and repeatedly redocks trying to get a quick gank in, from the safety of the stations docking radius, very annoying and somewhat lame.
4 or 5 BATTLESHIPS, fitted for max damage and fast lock and a cloaking device. 1 Heavily tanked battlecruiser, or something similar that looks vulnerable but isn't actually "that" vulnerable. Time it so your target is docked and move your BSes to optimal of the stations exit dock, ensure evyerone is ganged(for gang targeting bonus) and cloak. bait is left outside the station.
Prarie dog undocks, sees an "easy gank" and opens fire, bait scrambles and tanks. Battleships uncloak, wait their cloak penalty time and proceed to waste the lamer :)
Primary requirement, enough firepower to kill your target within 20 seconds, as your target will stop firing so he can redock, as soon as you uncloak.
I like to think of myself as the chlorine in the gene pool.

As someone who has accidentally warped into enemy POSes before, part of your post is incorrect and the rest is most likely considered an exploit... Not blaming you as I understand you haven't done it, just warning others.
The enemy POS will shoot you before your client even loads 9 times out of 10 due to all the crap POS managers leave there, you won't have a chance to deploy the tower, and the tower doesn't deploy until you have selected a position anyways, by that time, your ship carrying the tower dies, and if the new tower survived, its in a can... As for warping out, counting on actually surviving the guns, a single POS warp scrambler knocks out most wcs setups
Edit: the only way I could see this working is if the managers for whatever reason have all their guns offline or no guns at all, or you aren't set to hostile, so the POS doesn't know to shoot.
I like to think of myself as the chlorine in the gene pool.

want to accept an escrow that is running out soon? cant accept or set an escrow from your corp 0.0 station? yes you can! right click on someones portrait in the "guests" part of the station and click "add bounty" but DO NOT PLACE A BOUNTY, this will bring up the missions screen and allow you to set and accept escrows from any station

When escourting a frieghter, have a corp member web him once alighned to jump, to reachers it's 3/4 full speed quicker so it warps out faster, odd but true :) _______________________________________________ How I feel about Eve: the love/hate-ometer:

hey hey,
I noticed a few of these tricks dont actuall work or are exploits . .
Couple of drone tips.
Warp in to the mission and let everythink with insta aggro lock you. this way you can save yourself trouble figuring out who has the group agression. NOW release your drones. they will not be target or aggro any of the groups.
Use drones as cannon fodder . . To help save your tank send your drones into attack first so they take the agression. this can give you vital minutes before you get targetted to sort any range issues out and to quickly remove the more hostile targets. Lights V's BS's can be hilarious as pretty much the BS cant actually kill light drones and ends up spinning in circles trying to track, follow the drones.
Drone overview. Open your drones in space hanger so you can see when they are taking damage.
If you want drones to survive longer. When your tank is running try to keep it under 90% full as CCP changed the rules with NPC targetting. NPC's will switch to easier targets. so as long as your in dying mode they will prefer to kill you rather than your drones.
Frig tip
When orbiting your target. Set orbit at 1km under optimum. Due to the eliptical nature of orbits you spend more time at optimum.

If you want to scan a gate and you're out of range (15AU) and there aren't any planets or belts within this distance of the gate to warp to, and you suspect a camper is at the gate, simply activate modules on your ship until you're low on cap (15% or so) then warp to the gate. You wont make it the whole way and you'll be within scanning distance of the gate, so you can check whether it's camped or not it perfect safety :) Has saved me a lot of money in 0.0 space. |

Doesn't look like anyone has said this so..
You can select all the junk in a loot can, secure can, inventory, cargo hold, whatever as long as it contains more then one item, by pressing control+A.
And drag all the stuff over to somewhere else, or repackage it, or sell it, or refine ir or.. you get get picture :)
