for haulers and freighters ..
To reach maximam speed fast have one of your corp mates / gang mates web your ship. Youll insta-warp instead of slowly reaching top speed.

Here's another one. Heavy Drones are quite stupid when it comes to attacking small targets as they tend to outrun their own turret tracking once they enter orbit. However they hit small targets fairly well on their approach with a sweet spot being at around 3000 meters. You can exploit this by repeatedly giving your drones 'attack' and 'return' commands at about 3000 meters from their target. This requires a bit of training but once you get the timing right you'll be able to dispatch those pesky frigates in no time.

- You will notice the cross-hairs and the module flashing - waiting for activation.
- Target something that you cannot lock onto. (eg. A planet several AU away)
- You will see the ship trying to lock but fail
- Your cross-hairs are gone, but the module still flashes, and will activate as soon as you have a lock.

Good luck. I have more, but I wont share.

Ore Thievery:
Requires two characters...frig (or whatever) and a hauler
-frig warps in, approaches ore laden jet can, waits... -hauler warps in, approaches ore laden jet can -frig drops jet can, steals ore into just dropped jet can -hauler (not being agressed) takes stolen ore -miners, seeing hauler, noticing ore is gone, will shoot hauler thinking they are agressed -concord blows miners away -hauler leaves with ore

Poor Man's Tritanium Freighter: Passive Targeter Is use only tritanium to make. Around 12k I think if you research it all the way up. 12k tritanium normally takes up 120m3 cargo space. However, passive targeters only take 5m3 cargo space. So with a bit of manufacturing and reprocessing, you can ship large amounts of tritanium in your standard industrial (24mil in a 10km3 indy).
This works best if you have Refinery Efficiency IV and Scrapmetal Processing II. You also need a factory in the station of origin, and good standing with the corp at the destination station, which ideally has a 50% reprocessor. You also need Production Efficiency V and a well researched BPO. However, any of these things, except the factory, can be given up and just accepted as an added cost of shipping.

If you regularly enter 0.0 from one point in Empire, avoid those gankings on the 0.0 side by having an alt, with clone, based in a station nearest the gate on the empire side.
Before entering the gate, warp through with your alt in their shuttle, if the gate is camped and they are preventing further warping you only loose your alt and they are returned to your station in empire with a nice replacement shuttle for next time.

At any station that you use often, undock in an interceptor, then without moving, manually align your ceptor so its in a straight line out from the undock point. Go in that direction and hit the MWD, go for about 1000 or 2000 kilometers and stop, bookmark the spot. Then go dock and undock again, as soon as you have loaded and can see things, warp to the bookmark, you will instantly warp away before anyone can even lock you. Even in a battleship. This is very useful if you are being camped and need to get out of the station, or if you have a fleet of yours in the station and you need to get into space and get ready to fight. Now, wheres my bomber?
Actually, it's far more useful to do this at gates. Get a fast ship (or covops, because this is liable to be in hostile space). Jump through the gate. Lock the gate, so you decloak, but without 'turning'. Kick your speed up to max, and fly >1000km from the gate (don't make it predictable - if you just use the minimum, chances are someone else has too).
Bookmark.
Now you have a warp away point, which you'll be aligned for when you jump into system. From experience, you always have the same alignment when you arrive in system.
For bonus points, hit your 'warp away point', warp back to the gate. Drop a can where you arrive (use a single rocket or a bookmark or something), and use that to align an insta. So you can warp to your warp away point, scan for bubbles, and then insta in on to the gate. -- We are recruiting

When in a fleet battle. Make sure that before you enter it, you press CTRL+SHIFT+E and CTRL+SHIFT+T. This will disable turret, sensor booster, and any other effects from ships which will GREATLY reduce lag issues. This option is not available for missiles tho :/
Cant remember if it was CTRL+SHIFT+T or CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+T, or just CTRL. try it out. the combination with T disables turret effects, the combination with E removes "all" effects.
This will be reset once you relog.

Someone has already touched on it earlier I think but its worth elaborating on.
Agent missions can be run again and again so long as you don't complete the mission by talking to the agent at the end.
This is particularly useful when you get 'good' mission where the loot, bounties, drone minerals etc are wortha significant amount.
I've used this in the past on Infiltrated Outpost (L4) for drone minerals (a raven with heavy launchers for drone slaying swapping with one with seige launchers for the BS sized ones kills very quickly and can earn 30m an hour in minerals.
Some of the L4's use rats from the asteroid loot tables - Pirate Invasion, Pirate Slaughter etc. The serpentis versions of these drop loads of loot including having good chances of droppng named expanders.
To repeat the mission simple wait till after down time and the rats will all have respawned.

Edited by: Nyxus on 01/05/2006 14:32:19 Get a bubble and a small group of friends. Think about 8 or so. 2 should be battleships equipped with smartbombs. Go to within 1 or 2 jumps of a hugely hostile 0.0 system. Have 1 scout that is in or just outside hugely hostile system.
Blow up some people without using the bubble or smartbombs. Let some go. The idea here isn't to kill a bunch of people, but rather to be seen. This will cause a stir in the hostile system where they all say "Zomg baddies just outside! Lets get 100 ppl and pwn those 8 bastages!". Because most ppl are risk averse, they will bring small ships to scramble fast so they can get on the killmail and not risk much. Becuase they will bring 80+ people you are almost guaranteed to get the pilots with lots of implants who don't pvp much.
When your scout tells you that thier fleet is moving, fall back a gate and drop the bubble. Drop cans to get the cloakers that will be follwing you. Position both smartbombers so that thier fields overlap.
As enemy fleet warps in bomb everything. You will instapop almost all the tacklers, T1 Cruisers, and most HACS. Intys last 1 second or so and die so fast that they can't even align as they are taking damage as they decelerate from warp. You can kill most untanked BS as well, and jammers won't help them. Have your 6 friendly's mop up anything that gets out of range. My record so far is about 72 killmails in under 90 seconds.
Since the taclers almost all die and wake up in a cloning station, most times you can get your bombing BS out even when you are overrun. As most pilots have lemming-like qualities as long as you don't do this every day it works almost every time like a charm.
FYI - the board isn't static so if it's scrolled down a bit look for 35-R and note the times on the mails.

When mining, bookmark the roid you are going to mine, warp back to station and then back to your bookmark. Distribute the bookmark to your haulers.
When you create a bookmark to a gate, hover your mouse over the gate you just came from. Your bookmark should work for any other gate or celestial object that appears at the same spot as the gate you just came from.

Fed up of running out of space in your frigate when cleaning up a battlefield. ?
Cans spread all over the place, and would take you for ever to collect them all in a hauler ?
Fit a tractor to a fast frigate, warp in and drop a can from the frigate. Tractor it and drag it behind you, filling the can up as you move around.
Once you have collected all the seperate cans into one, warp back in with your large cargo space ship, and have only one can to pick up.
If in a deadspace area, remember to drag the can back to the warp in location...

A really simple tip is to make and save a stripped down overview for scanning. Cutting out cans, shuttles, noob ships and so forth... gives you that much more time to track someone down.

When he busts your safespot and attacks your raven/apoc/whatever, imagine his surprise when you start scrambling him and firing back. Then imagine the look of chagrin on his face when your five buddies who were waiting on the gate in the next system jump in and warp to you (assuming you even need them at all).
This trick works by expecting your opponent to be competent at PvP and looking for kills.
-waves to Dr Screamm-
i have a nasty trick i have been planning. since the issue with log in tricks making you warp 1 million km to where you logged off at. what you do is go to a npc station in 0.0 and have one gang mate in a tanked out scambling ship. while you have 5-6 alliance/corp mates logged off in pvp ships in the station on ts with thier character selection screen up. the second a enemy undocks you start to attack/scramble them. the trick here is for 30 sec after they attack back they cant dock. so the second they attack back all your guys click their character and start to spam the exit station shortcut (i set mine as alt-d) sometimes people will undock several times to lets say test the water before they with aggress. after they agress back and you get your guys logged in you have 20-25 seconds that your enemy cant dock. even if they try to reverse it on you and have a few of thier mates jump into the system when you agress the lone guy you still have a few allies sitting in reserve they dont know about. a few weeks ago i used a alot less refines version of this and we killed a cyclone and got an enemy dominix to about 20% structure left with just a thorax as bait (which was lost btw) and 1 bs docked and me sitting in the next system over in a raven. i have not gotten a chance to test this out yet since i have been unable to log into eve for more then an hour or so for a week or two, but a way less refines attempt ( no ts ect). worked good. the main issue is you can only use this occationally before a particular group of enemies catch on.
ohh btw wrayeth long time no see.
Meta-gaming sucks.
My own tip, so I'm not just flaming:
If you're in a covops/other ship with bad cap, and you want a quick safespot without having to warp to a warpable, drop a bookmark while in warp, and then warp back to it:
Select a warpable object in the system that's fairly far away, so it appears in the selected item part of the overview. Make sure you're not aligned to it. Spam the warp to button on the overview, while also hitting ctrl+space repeatedly, or whatever your stop ship shortcut is. This way you'll keep trying to warp there and stopping, which burns up cap very quickly, and once you start getting the warning message that you won't be able to make the warp in one jump, let the ship warp.
You'll end up part way along the trip to the object you've been trying to warp to, and you'll be in a quick and dirty safespot. By practicing how much cap you leave before warping, you can refine the distance you warp, which can be useful for getting close to other people's safespots quickly.

BEST looting tips EVER.
1) BM one can in each stage then finish mission and warp back to them.
2) Use a Exequror (gallante cruiser) loaded with 4 tractor beams and AB and looting becomes a snap. lvl 4 missions get looted in 5 to 10 min solo. it hase about 850m3 cargo so might need 2 trips on the big missions but still a heck of alot easier than the alternatives.
OR 3) with a buddy in a hauler use a Catalyst loaded with 8 tractor beams and drag all the cans to him.

1-Sit at a border system between a remote region and a hub region. Heimatar or Derelik border of example
Buy in bulk, large buy orders are whatever the price you want. for example 50%
you will get hits. invest 10% in courier missions to centralize all the crap to the new region
Sell a lot more Rinse, repeat. 30-40% benefit per item. at least. all that with really common stuff
In a few words : big hubs are favorable to buyers, remote regions to sellers
2-Manufacturing and selling anything related to mining can lead an incredible benefit if you do it in lowsec (miners and haulers hate to travel through gates)
3-To make a maximum benefit dont aim at the highest "tier stuff" that will be bought/sold by old players
aim at the cruiser/BC class, that's where you'll find plenty of people who dont know the prices, or dont care (because the difference is cheap, even if a LARGE number in %) -
