 Grats to the BoB team.

And ASCN, what the hell? shoot back, for the love of god. even in the 5v5 you barely did enough damage to kill a tristan.

And grats to CCP/Eve-Radio for putting all this together. Colour me impressed.

I really liked EVE-TV, even if the fights got really boring from time to time, but the semis made up for it.

but it was pretty sad that final ended as it did, even more so that the commentators had no idea of how the ship in question functions (oh and the hollering crowd on their tail).

even if I was suprised that the ASCN pilot didn't have a sensor booster though.

but thanks for an entertaining show, after all the problems and flaws didn't outweight the good parts.

Thanks to the CCP Crew, the EvE-Radio(-TV) Crew, the experts' panel and all participants for this exciting event. Really had a grand time.

 Here's to a repeat performance "Soon(tm)".

Oh, and a layer of extra love for Ifni, whose analysis was always smart, insightful and partial. <3

On the whole I the enjoyed coverage, though maybe it would be a good idea to send the commentators on a BoB training camp to get more up to speed

Joking aside, some great fights and entertaining coverage from both the studio and commentary box.

I hope this is only the beginning for EvE Tv... live coverage of the first 'Player Faction Planet colonisation' anyone

Thank you EVE-TV staff for a very interesting experience. I certainly enjoyed a lot of what I saw. As goes for most first tries, some things could do with some improvement, but, knowing how difficult it is to get a thing like this together, you all did a tremendous job and should be proud of yourselves. I do hope there will be more of this in the future.

As for all the drama about the expert panel and the commentators. I found the guest experts providing, overall, interesting comments, particularly from their respective backgrounds. J4ck and especially Spiral seemed to me to grow into their role quite well, as did X-Man and Zod. The latter two having a particularly difficult job. Ifni, also, a solid and intelligent performance, maybe a bit biased, but all the more amiable for it. I have to agree though with comments made above, that it was a mistake to invite Stavros. Objectively, after the first weekend, it should have been obvious that he, at least in a portion of the viewers, evoked a strong negative reaction and was perceived to be merely a disruptive and abusive influence on the proceedings. As if to prove a point, he seemed to be getting worse as well. A replacement would have been better perhaps.

Never the less, Bob, congratulations, you showed you mettle in the previous to last round, and thank you again EVE-TV for some entertaining evenings and thanks to all the others who contributed.

This tournament was massive amounts of fun, grats to my homies from the WEST SIDE (aka Delve). Kind of sad ASCN didn't come to fight, but rather survive.. theirs was one of the best and most complicated tactics but when you can counter it with 2 modules.. why bother using it over and over?

Anyways, it did symbolize the two alliances they were representing quite well :P

The BoB vs IAC fight was amazingly great. I was sure we'd win, just because the IAC team did not switch their strategy and TWD's was superior. I did freak out lots when Kookman crashed, but the comeback is so much better than if the fight had ended quickly I think. Plus, watching Jim Raynor get some missiles crammed down his tubes should be the highlight of anyones day

Massive props to LeMonde for organizing this. Stavros is awesomely fun. I'm *** for Ifni. Xyliana is good enough to lick. If I get banned, Eris should be the one to do it.. oh yes and..

Ifni was okay, though it was bad no one there knew how a crow could get set up. They certainly had plenty of time before the match to review the relevant matchup.

Stavros was awful. Arrogant blowhard, which might be tolerable if you had more to say that was interesting and insightful -- but he didn't. He really contributed very little that was useful.

<3 to everyone taking part, had an amazing time and now am sad it is over.

Over the last few days I have had the pleasure to meet and work with some amazing individuals so here is my list of severly less than three:

Ifni, who has re tought me pvp in the space of about 3 days, put up with my interrupting and general spouting alot of **** when I was drunk.

Spiral Cos he's funny and I like it when you rip people and I might even listen to your show, amazing host as well.

DJ Xman For his Amazing commentary, funny to the last!

DJ Xod Cos hes American and farts alot WAHEEY!!

Dj Xyliana (SPELLING?) For being cool, keeping her head and letting me host

Hinik - LE FRENCH! Also pretty good at foosball

Sigi for touching me in my microphone place

LeMonde for driving me around, putting up with me when im drunk and general all around being 14

Urban Mongral for being a top bloke, who needs to panic less and realise just what he has accomplished with this little venture.

The rest of CCP for NOT killing me (always a good thing) and giving me alot of yoghurt and mountain dew.

This post will be edited because I have probably shamefully forgotten others :(

Thanks all for watching, sorry if you didnt feel the <3 for me but many did, so deal with it :)

 Cheers

I can understand standing by someone who is your friend. If anything, that is only admirable. Now, if the objective of EVE-TV was to "rile the e-peen artists rolling around forums", I would bring on Stavro's everytime. However, unless I'm mistaken, EVE-TV was not about Stavros' ego, nor about him abusing its audience. It was about the tourney.

I've seen a large number posts on the forum from people who, clearly, disapproved of his antics (and I'm being generous), the photoshops on his website none-withstanding. I think the signal send was clear. The question is, should the producer or director have the professionalism to look beyond friendships and have replaced him. I think the EVE-TV would have been the better for it.

But apart from Stavros, excellent job, kudos ...

EveTV that was seriously sooo awesome. I cant imagine the ammount of time and energy that went into to hosting that.

Eve Devs / creators / all support people - you freakin rock to allow/support this event. Thanks for being cool and not anal about it all as well. I would be ****ed if everything got all moderated and oh noes cant say this or that. Hearing the off the wall comments that some people made - was just too much to handle sometimes lol! That one BE guy calling everyone n00bs was hilarious. I for one loved it all. Also it is refreshing to hear someone accidently swear and have it not be bleeped. The amatuerish (yet very professional on the technical side) style was awesome and well loved by all my corp mates / allied corp buddies. Man it was awesome. Hats off. Hats off. This is why we love you CCP for doing stuff like this that no other MMO will do.

I personally liked Stavros. I didnt even know he was FZN until the very end. Good comments by him. I know DJ Xod from back in the day. GJ Xod - good comments. I was impressed by the commentors (sp?). While they might have been a little off from time to time on the accuracy of the setups, and some other stuff - overall they did a decent job of keeping things fairly exciting. I sure couldnt have done as well as they did. Xod rocks btw ;)

Im sure everyone has had their two cents so heres mine.
I loved ASCN's all Gallente setup. It was cool to see some diffrent tactics besides CNR + support slugfests. Personally im all about close range and I just loved ASCN's setup. Too bad it did make for incredibly boring fights when they got webbed. But once they got in range - wow. That might between MC and ASCN was amazing. Down to the wire with that Eos.

So while I expected ASCN to get raped, they surprissed me. Axiom - wow how sad. But the ultimate kicker...

WTF was that ASCN interceptor pilot thinking. OMG his setup makes me want to kill myself. Sure that setup may be decent for diffrent situations. But starting 50km away in a 1v1 inty fight against an experienced inty pilot who you could have put money on him being in a crow.... And then you go for close range... Wow... that just makes me cry. Way to throw away a mothership.

All things being even all the Bob pilot had to do was set orbit at 25km or something similar (since no worries about warp scrambling) and game over. The ASCN pilot would never have caught the crow to web it. Gah.

Fantastic work, and a fantastic effort all round.

If it's possible for next time, I'd love to get feeds into the competitor's Teamspeak (by then, Eve VIOP perhaps?) channels. interviews with the competitors over voice comms before and after the battle perhaps?
similar to how, for instance, formula one you get an insight into a race with radio from the team to drivers.

the commentators deserve a drink or twenty for managing to keep a feedback running, even when battled have descended into stalemate - I can't give enough thanks to them all.

the only negative thing I can say about the entire exercise, is to show my disgust at the obnoxious behavior of stavros, whose guest antics performed a perfect job of displaying to would be players that MMOS are sadly still populated by immature, opinionated degenerates who seem to mistake ego with importance... it finally got to the point where his asinine behavior left me tuning out immediately after each match, and in for the next one to avoid it.

That one failing aside, you've all done a great job, and I hope you're all justifiably proud of what is in some days a milestone in gaming history. each presenter did a great gob, and the behind-the-cameras staff also have my thanks, for being the unsung heroes with gaffertape holding the whole shebang together. Shame the final did'nt have the drama of the penultimate bout, sadly, but you could'nt help that.

I hope Eve-Radio gets some support from CCP after this, in recognition of the work done. (Personally, I think the ER djs should each be given a custom ship (disco ball megathron anyone) that they can be seen in for their work
  )
I look forward to the DVD. lots of high-def footage for the battles. Hope the marketting department will ensure the footage gets onto PC magazine discs to let the rest of the world know what they're missing.

(oh, and am I the only one who felt sorry for eris, looking for a while like she was wanting to run screaming and hide somewhere?)

Thoroughly enjoyable time. Everyone involved should be proud of themselves, players and EveTV staff alike. Yes, there were moments that could be considered 'unprofessional' but considering it was a live broadcast and no-one had done it before, it was absolutely great, and, if anything, it was good that no-one took themselves too seriously and just enjoyed the show.

Well done overall for a first effort, and you should
 all be justly proud.
Minor points to pick up on -
1.Studio..Wrong choice in hindsight as it
appeared to be "The only office available",
and on working days CCP'S creche could be heard
in the background as well as other work going on.
2.Stav's immaturity showed through and should
have had a mature Manager onsite take him to
one side and bent his ear,but he should stay.
3.Backup trailers and promotional stuff available
for those game delays and hiccups.
4.Phone in Competition for prizes and questions to
the panel.(Money raising to pay off camera hire)
You get the general idea but hopefully when the
dust settles,CCP will allocate a budjet for future
 events.Congrats again to you all.
