I just recived November's issue of pcgamer, and there is an odd full page ad for EVE Online, advertising an expansion or something that I have never seen mentioned before...

It is the US edition of pcgamer, there is no mention of EVE online that I have seen in the magazine so far except for that ad.

It's obvious to me the folks at US PCGamer really don't think much of Eve, I wonder why they keep giving them money for ads. Of course, at the moment I don't have any better suggestions for US advertising, though Computer Gaming World treats us with respect at least. (Can you get the trial on the PCG dvd?)
And, on topic, I'd sure love to know what this Revelations is all about. Looks to me like those ships are flying through a big cathedral or something.

They did cover the game when it came out. It got an entire 50% too! They later reviewed exodus and gave it a 80%, though it wasn't a full page review, but one of the half page minireviews they used to do. I dunno if they've talked about the game lately, as I unsubscribed a while ago, that rag has really gone down hill.

It used to be a great mag.
I'm waiting for my subscription to run out with as much enthusiasm as a 7 year old waits for Christmas. Yes, I'm very happy about dumping that mag.
Funny how the editor got up on a soap box one issue, *****ing about how alot of great games by small independant companys get swamped by the big uninsipered, unoriginal, factory like production game companys, yet lately all they review are big game expansions and big gamming company games.

So since EVE seems to be following a timeline similar to the books of the bible. Theres not going to be an expansion after Kali?(revelations, last book of the bible).

errh i dont ever recall there being a book called cold war/castor/blood in the bible :P. CCP already said in e-on that buddha is the expansion after kali.

They're probably just picking out the cool-sounding names. I can't imagine marketing being too keen on trying to sell Eve Online: Leviticus, though even that might be an easier sell than Eve Online: Job

Yes, PC Gamer UK absolutely loves EVE, it still has it as one of its top 3 online games and is always doing little pieces on it (one reason why I subscribe to it).

Kali will hit Sisi sometime next week if the patch that comes before goes well according to the devs (somewhere in game developments section).
Kali is near and will hit us bugged as usual i am sure but it will hit us.
There's allways a name for the build in development and a name for the same thing on TQ.
Allways been like that. Looks like Kali is named Revelations.

it was an advert placed by Remo Man, for our new corperation. (Revelations Inc) Apparently there was printing errors, it was supposed to go in next month, as remo was going to sell a small bit of the advert for isk, to someone else who wanted an advert placed next to ours.

Because thats the way PC Magazines work....for some obscure reason they slap the dates on them 2 months in advance.
CCP probably booked an Ad in the "November" issue of PCG thinking that Kali will definately be done by then, only to find that in the world of PC Magazines November really means September.
It all started when one magazine moved its dates forward a month, and all the other PC Mag's had to outdo each other, as they couldnt be seen to be issuing a "July" magazine when a competitor had a "August" magazine on the shelves. (regardless of wether or not the content was exactly the same...  )
...on the other hand using a banana might be a viable alternative.

Yep. I remember when I first started reading PC Gamer back in '94. The gap shortens suddenly at the end of the year when the Xmas issue comes out (PCG**** and the far superior PCZone both publish 13 issues a year), so in December the gap between mag date and actual date is reduced to one month when the Jan issue hits the streets.... gradually this widens out again until we reach the Q3/Q4 silliness we have now.

As does Edge although the current issue is October & the November issue doesn't go on sale until the 28th of September (December issue will be out around 27 of October & Christmas issue is around 24th of November)
