you guys should totally consider making this a true "podcast" You already have the audio. All you need is to create the RSS feed and submit to the itunes store (no cost involved)
Then everyone can subscribe and download them for easier listening. |

It would be nice to form some roams from time to time too. I know the theme here is 'solo', but going on a roam with Kil2 and Kovorix as FC, has to be very cool.

Well my second war story proves that with two you can have double the fun
Well the guys in Perrigen Falls have smartened up (or so I thought) and started bringing their alts to fight me aswell, so this time we decided to go duo with a corp mate. I also wanted to give a second chance for my active tanked Cyclone, which died last time to pilot error.
It was pretty quiet and for a while seemed that we werent going to get fight this time, but 10 jumps (or so) in I warp to station @30km and manticore undocks to check me out. Guy docks and undocks again in Zealot and engages me, my corp mate in his shield buffer cane jumps in and warps to me and we blast the Zealot. In all the excitement I forget to disable overheat on my scram and it burns out, so from here on out my buddy needs to do all the tackling for us. \o/
What follows is either very funny or very stupid. The guy we just popped in Zealot undocks in Pilgrim and gets popped in few seconds. At this point we are laughing for him being bit silly, but next we thing we know the guy is out in Onyx and aggroing us, we start blasting and neuting him, he tries to deaggro and we overheat and pop him again. Now we are laughing that next he is undocking battleship probably and lo and behold he undocks an Abaddon. Again we start blasting away, he is active tanking us for awhile but our combined capwar breaks the tank and he tries to deaggro but forgets to pull in his drone and dies
At this point we think he can only undock in carrier and hope different outcome. Actually he doesnt undock at all, I decide to warp out and see if he aggros my point-able corpie and as soon as I leave system they undock a Falcon and a Dominix, but for what reason I am not sure. The falcon permajams my buddy and the domi just sits there repping the falcon, not sure what the big plan is. I warp zero into him trying to instapop the falcon, but unfortunately he has armor tanked, domi keeps him alive long enough, and as I have no point they both warp out
We leave the system and think the stupidity is over and start heading back home, two jumps out a Megathron and the same Falcon engage my corpie on a gate, I burn back to him and we try to kill the Falcon. The falcon pretty much permajams us and we are not dealing any damage, suddenly though the mega pops a cyno and in jumps Archon. We play with them for awhile, trying to burn close whenever the falcon misses a jam on both of us, but he is smartbombing our drones and gets jam back on pretty quickly once we close into effective weapons range. We play bit more, kite around them and then the archon and the Falcon decide to warp out, mega still has cyno up so we charge in screaming. Capwar at full, guns overheated, overheating whatever is to overheat of my active tank I pop just as he enters structure. The falcon warps back in but too far and doesn't manage to jam the cane before he mega pops. As the archon warps back in and sets his drones on the cane who warps out and back in thinking of popping the wrecks before leaving
Instead he pops falcon who doesnt jam him for some reason and kills the same guy for a fifth time. I sit on the other side of the gate in my pod, notice talos jumping in and scream "try to tackle this talos if you get close enough", which he unfortunately doesnt, talos pulls range and cane has to warp out. I jump my pod back into system and the Talos has approached the gate, I notice I am sitting cloaked in my pod 2.5km from the Talos. My friends cane is very low on shield and is bit hesitant to warp into the talos, but I tell him its now or never, you wont get better warpin on him. As I am being podded, he engages his warpdrive, land right next to the Talos, overheats everything and the Talos goes pop

I don't think it's very viable without links but using links allows for more flexibility in making unusual setups that still work (i.e. dual rep thorax, shield boosting moa, etc). |

Seconding this. Links allow you to give up some tank to gain something in other areas - like range, speed or general flexibility.
That's especially handy for active setups, which fully utilize all the links.

Jumped in to find this very expensive dictor on the gate. Was about 20km from him so immediately overloaded mwd and started burning away, Got 2-3 good volleys off taking him to deep armour. But he was fast with a faction scram so I quickly tried to slingshot him and luckily his speed carried him far enough away to track 1 last shot!

For the record, I have said it many times, I think this is a great podcast. But sometimes I feel like too many assumptions are being made and stated as fact and it annoys me a bit. The one thing that I recall from this podcast was the EMP vs PP vs a shield cane discussion, PP is always better, even with 3x CDFE because of the armor resists, and vastly better if they run the 1 EM rig.
A small blemish either way. Look forward to the next one. |

This was a great episode, Prom's brand of solo PvP is a lot more impressive than :links: and/or :unlimited isk: that you see with other video makers.
My only complaint was kil2 inturrupting everyone CONSTANTLY. So annoying. I was going to go back and count how many times he inturrupted everyone to help make the point but then realized I didn't want to listen to him doing it anymore. And him talking much louder than the other two just made it worse. Sorry kil2, great pvper, annoying interviewer. |

inties getting away ,, if your solo or one of the only tacklers on a gate camp, and not on regional gate most things decloak around 15k from you, if you have a faction web/ or links and you pre overheat your mods you have mouch more chance of catching people,
quite allot of passing solo inties will pimp thier fits, sometimes your able to start hunting in a sabre with standered fit and by the end of the day have it pimped just fromcollecting passing tackle... :) others you get shot by that guy in arty wolf / thrasher
thanks Kil2 and co for this, I wanted to do something similer for young blood wanting to learn but am just so bad at grammer and way to dyslexic to fc with all the funny names you get in eve..
we need more insperation for the masses, and these episodes are great, ( and I love medium nos on rax too) !

I completely agree with you. I'm trying so hard to shut up and let others talk and its actually so hard for me for some reason, I think I just get excited easily by having thoughts. Will keep trying to improve! Before every episode I'm also trying to encourage kovorix to be more pushy because him being quiet/shy combined with me being loud is bad. We will balance it better eventually =) |
