Before this post I was inclined to believe the former ISD member was shading his side of the story. I doubt theres any real bias going on here still but the whole thing just reinforces my opinion that almost nobody at CCP understands the word "professional". Obviously nobody believes such a thing will cause them to lose customers right now but it will be interesting to see what happens down the road when someone decides to take advantage of CCP's large user base which is basically looking to jump ship as soon as possible.

I'm not entirely convinced that those-who-shall-remain-nameless staged their attack for the reasons you give or were that serious about doing CCP damage. OTOH it does seem to have been a coordinated attack and based on some of their other exploits isn't completely unbelievable. I can certainly believe your explanation of the ISD reporter incident. The way he wrote his letter immediately rang alarm bells with me. That was not the way you want someone in a relatively sensitive and important position to behave. So..I hope the majority of the community can breath a little easier now and if the rumours about them-who-can-not-be-named quitting are correct then I'm even more pleased. It's sad that you might be losing some subscriptions but I reckon most of them will just quit their corp and quietly find another niche to play. Nothing has been investigated it seems just something thrown together (the investigation part) and more time spent in writing up a disclaimer. looks like we are stuck with certain Alliances getting privaleges over others - well i for one am out of here, as far as playing this game in a political enviroment and creating 'empires' s concerned this game is fixed. enjoy your prowess BOB although all what you have attained and will attain is through cheating - nothing more. looks like the years ive spent in this game has gone to waste and utterly ruined. OH and BOB maybe not now but in a future date more evidence will surface (only so much can be swept under the rug) which will finally force CCP to remove you from the game , until then ill keep an eye out and laugh at you. to CCP - your game is Borked, the dream was fine but the moment you used the player base to help run it , thats when all neutrality and customer care left.

I really don't care what HAS happened in the past as the past can not be changed. What can be changed or at least prepared for is the future. This is the second time this has happened and I'm wondering what steps are being put in place to stop a third from happening. Are devs accounts now going to have all of their commands logged and justifcation made by the dev for using such commands? Are you going to advise ISD employees that they have had a petition sent against them and if multipule petitions happen then the ISD employee will be fired? Are screen shots going required to prove a petition or will you go on someones word without proof? Is there going to be an in house rule that no developer is allowed to join a player or non CCP corporation? These are just some questions that have come to me. Once again I love the fantastic game that CCP have created and I thank you greatly for it. Please don't let this happen again.

It is our human nature that if we can do something for our own good we will do it, we are not all Mothers' Theresas are we? I have absolutely no issues neither with Goons nor BoB (actually I am playing only for like 5 months and I am not any corp yet), but in all of this discussion (at least most of it is a discussion)the more argumentation is on the Goon side. Responses from BoB like "Goons who think the bob / developer connection was ever abused are pretty delusional tbqh. I for one am sure that it was only used to fix bugs in game, such as 10/10 overseers who spawn every half hour" IMHO are just ridiculous as well as those saying "just leave the game". Why would I leave the game if I love it and only because the DEV's are cheating (not proved according to CCP, I have a different opinion)and the CCP can not control their own employees and their communication channels i have to leave? Not fair, is it? Another point - there is no proof that there was a MSN connections - BS - the guy admitted the direct connection to DEV, thinking that it is not a problem, as it appears it is the biggest one. This disappoints me very much, and I will suspend my account just because of this reason. I may reconsider that in a month or so if the situation will be dealt with according to a common sense. CCP has to listen to what the player have to say, not ban them for it. Just my 2 cents...

The vast majority of players, devs, GM's and volunteers conduct themselves with integrity and with a love for the game. Those that still want to leave the game should do so sooner rather than later and get the hell out the game many of us enjoy so much. As to the volunteer who was sacked, you broke the rules but more importantly you broke the trust. Good riddance, you will not be missed. Sadly because of you the game, staff and volunteers reputation has been tarnished as mud sticks. Some people will continue to belive what they want simply they are so narrow minded that the truth and evidence will be ignored cos they belive what they want to belive as they lack the simple intelect to view all the facts available. You really should leave the game, and please never have children. I don't think the gene pool needs futher polution.
