http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/invention_chance.php < This. People who have done thousands of runs, including the original creator of the formula have it checking out. It isn't going to be off by any amount that matters, and is quite probably 100% spot on.

I'm going to post on this thread every day until the issue is fixed.
This is inexcusable, CCP.

I don't have this implant so it doesn't affect me one way or the other, but I have to agree that letting it go on and on like this is just insane.
You should make sure NPC no longer sell/drop this item so they aren't available in game (if it hasn't been done already).
I don't have a good idea on how to deal with the ones that are already in circulation though, but some way of buying them back should be set up. Letting this go on and on with promise of fixes in some far future date is just silly though. |

No, look at the first post in this thread. It's been open since MAY 2007. That is almost 1 year 8 months.
When these were mistakenly introduced, CCP needed to offer reimbursement for isk and LP (at the NPC value). Since then the value of LP has declined dramatically, so even that would be a kick in the kneecaps, but still better than nothing. Many many months ago these were prevented from being sold on the market / contracts (This to me is an admission that the entire issue has been indefinitely shelved by CCP) and only the last patch were they removed from our clones heads, having been stuck there taking up valuable space for nothing (but risking being lost) for almost 2 years.
This is just silly. Either they can be made to do something worthwhile in a timely manner, or they need to be reimbursed, at LEAST an admission that they have given up, we have had major expansion after major expansion since these were released, and we can't even get something as simple as a reimbursement.

Good luck with that. The EULA says that they always own it all, and the only legal challenges to it have failed, even when someone actually did pay real money for in game items. (which is much less of a grey area than what you propose).

No sir.
The post was originally made in 2007. The edit was made in 2008. So my math and my date are right: Pay attention or go pound sand.
From and including: Tuesday, July 31, 2007 To, but not including : Tuesday, January 13, 2009
532 days
1 year, 5 months, 13 days
532 days can be converted to one of these units: 45,964,800 seconds 766,080 minutes 12,768 hours 76 weeks

Regardless of when the post was made, the issue was released with Revelations II, not when the post was made. The poster had put in a petition to the GM and waited for over a month. You can see this by the following posters responses, made the same day. His edits of the first post have only been to change the thread title, the rest of the content is as it appeared 2007.07.31. Where upon the issue had been open, for over 4 weeks.
Your math is fine, your assumption on the start date is incorrect.

575 Days.
Let's debate semantics some more because you can't admit you're wrong about the May 2008 thing. Irrelevant. The point is whether it's 528 or 575 days it doesn't take that long to get a fix. Now we return you to your regularly scheduled sandcastle.

Wait what. So I was tired (had just woken up) when I saw 7 and my brain said June. woo hoo. I love how you jam in there 'can't admit you were wrong' when I contradicted myself with the hard evidence, (thus proving myself wrong, which is as good or better than admitting it). But it also proved you wrong. If there was no point in the exact number of days to the second, I have no idea why you posted it three times, when you're wrong it's semantics and irrelevant. When I'm wrong I'm not paying attention? I knew you were wrong when I posted, that's why I posted, so I wasn't right either, but it got to the truth eventually.
Getting a fix quite clearly does take this long. Getting a fix or at least resolution shouldn't, but it has.

Any chance of any agile:scrum'ish info on 1) where this sits in the priority list? 2) Is this going to make the 'cut'? 3) what the 'fix' is going to be [if any]?

Its a shame they cannot be picked up via sale or contract anymore.
I'd gladly start buying them up from people at reduced amounts so they can at least recover something. |

It has been fixed. Implant has been removed form game and your char head. If they did anyhting more people could start claiming scam om skill training whenever they change a skills function. (Kinda like scanning will be affected with Apocrypha.) So here is an idea: Let it go! |

And I have one in my hangar. Not the point. The implant have effectively been removed, just like numerous skills and items haven been over the years. Deal with it and stop the whining. |
