Yesterday, we published a news item announcing the closure of the EVE Market channels in two weeks time, as well as immediately turning the EVE: The Second Genesis CCG forums into a read-only archive.
This announcement and the removal of the ability to create new posts in the Market channels were both premature. While the Market forums will eventually be closed, this action will not be taken until the in-game market and contract systems have been made more robust and useful.
The return of the ability to create new posts in the Market forum channels should return during Wednesday's normal maintenance period. The CCG forum channels will remain in their read-only archival state.

While I am glad that there was a change of heart.. I would suggest a bit more thought before you make such sweeping changes..

Even though i didn't post in the "rabble rabble rabble" thread, i was very disappointed with CCP's initial move. I'm glad to know that CCP listens to its costumers.

So... why the new thread? So we can congratulate you for avoiding a monumental mistake?
If we can't convince you to not do something that 99.9% (so far i have seen 2 people in agreement of the change) of the player base is quite vehemently opposed to, then what's the point of even posting? You may as well go tell us to **** ourselves again like when you told us to go use Chribba's free site as a replacement for your lack of service.

When the problems causing the rabble are addressed they'll be closed. But it's only the buy/sell/trade, not the whole market forum.

Honestly you will have to monitor the sugar intake of the guy that thought that closing the trade forums was the best step forward.
Thankfully CCP took the hint from the community that it is not what they wanted, thank you for reinstating the trade forums.

I'm frankly amazed that CCP listened. But, well, I guess not closing them is the sensible course of action.
Not that CCP doesn't listen, but there is usually a lot more back-and-forth and hiding behind the desk before they own up to it, anyhow. ;)

Thank you for restoring faith to the community that you do listen to the playerbase. Keep up a good track record of doing so, and you'll never have to worry about bad press ever again :) This was an initial bad decision, but I'm glad to see that your e-egos can admit when you're wrong and fix the issue :)

In general I do not see any problems from moving the whole forum trade wholly into the game, but right now the "infrastructure" for that simply isn't there.
