Tranquility will undergo an extended downtime on Tuesday, 28 August. The start time is 11.00 GMT and the length of the downtime is expected to be 3.5 hours. During this time, a patch will be applied to Revelations consisting of enhancements, fixes and improvements.
Please note that Eve Voice may be unavailable for 2 hours before the downtime starts as they might be upgrading their servers as well.
Patch Notes will be available for review at a later time. Additions may be made to the patch notes as Quality Assurance efforts continue throughout the weekend. Changes made will be highlighted in green text.
Training a long learning duration skill ending after the scheduled return to service is recommended.

No, I'm working on the patch notes right now, they should be published this afternoon as I'm currently about half way through. I wanted to get the date and time out as fast as possible rather than wait until I had finished the patch notes.

. Got long training all ready lined up for my 3 accounts
16 days plus should be safe enough
Still wish they would give the ability to stack skills for training
Even if it is only 2 skills that you could stack, would be nice
Especially when u get a skill that would finish while u were asleep or at work, etc and you have to remember to change to another skill and then back again
Ah well, I just keep dreaming on about the possibility of that happening

Oh, please. I'm a refugee from Project Entropia. You haven't seen poor customer treatment!
CCP seems on top of it and they even take the time to respond, in a forum they made! Mindark doesn't have a forum for their own game and anything we say to them is either met with silence or a cut-and-paste two line response.
So...look where I am!
I understand that customer service in each game is relative, but I look around at the detail, the background and side-stories, and pages, and pages of announcements this year alone and am quite pleased I made a move here.
Can't please everyone, I guess...

RE: Exploration
If the changes on SiSi are anything to go by exploration is going to get better after the rather lack lustre deployment of the on-board scanner micro-exploration site. As an occasional explorer I share the frustration of searching with a multi-spec and picking all these unknowns up which are just these useless little sites. However, I don't think Unknown sites are going to go anytime soon. Some of them are actually pretty awesome (tanking a Guristas nexus in a dual repping myrmi ftw) instead they're replacing the scrap choice with a 'Cosmic Anomaly' option. The are what you search for when looking for the micro-exploration sites so us real explorers can get on with looking for a real payday.
Grats to CCP for sorting this out and I look forward to getting 'Nothing Found'with a multi-spec in a system that does actually have no value at all (to someone using probes anyway). Was also wondering if scanning while cloaked is becoming a 'feature' or a little glitch with Rev 2.1.1

I think I count five or six duplicated entries in the notes, but they're mostly very welcome, especially the POS fuel & interdiction changes.
The only one that makes no sense to me is raising the datacore requirements for sentry drone invention; they're already the most expensive (and among the least popular) drones on the market, and the datacores already account for most of the cost of production.

Are you seeding the science skillbooks as per this devblog? And I quote:
Originally by: CCP Chronotis Science and Invention Skill Seeding
Science and Invention skills, excluding Encryption Methods, will be seeded on the market. Some of these skills have a disproportionally high demand (such as the Graviton Physics skill required by the Interdiction Sphere Launcher), preventing smaller corporations or alliances the opportunity to become involved in this section of the market. Seeding a greater supply will allow more players to get into invention and advanced manufacturing or research. The base price will be 10 million ISK.
If not, when are these going to be seeded?
Also, I love you so damn much for giving the geddon a much needed CPU increase... I've got a few ideas for the Apoc's role change you discussed in this dev blog, which I'll quote again for anyone that missed it:
Originally by: Tuxford General ship loving. There are some ships that need help and we're gonna give it to them. Which ships you might ask? Well, Armageddon might need some fitting help, the cruisers aren't really that great and Apocalypse might get a bit of a role twist.
Any news on that change?
Cheers!

Some great fixes in this patch CCP, well done!
*You can now warp to gang members who are over 150 km away by clicking them in space, or on the overview.
*When cancelling warp, the overview options on a selected item should automatically update, allowing you to warp to that item.

Felysta, there's an entry in the patch notes about seeding the skillbooks. Looks like a direct copy of the Chronotis devblog quote.
Question for Devs:
Patch notes say the Yeti BX-2 is now going to Cybernetics V for requirements. What happens to those of us that don't have that right now but have the implant installed in one of our clones, or in our active clone? Is the effect just ignored for the active clone until we get lvl 5? Is our jump clones disabled until we get the skill trained up or can we still jump to it, but have the implant effect disabled? -- Industrialist Carebear, CEO Illudium Space Products: Where's the KABOOM!? Thanks for the Release notes (must be the afternoon now)...
I see that some mission fixes, slated for this release, have been "deferred" (this means put off until some future date), nor was anything said about the other "Group turn in" issues... I must assume they are also "Deferred"... -- Courier missions that end at a remote station have no group turn in option (deferred) -- Using the Group Turn in option when a mission is completed does not go to the correct page, but skips to the next (Agent Greeting page, not the mission end page)
Looking forward to the patch. --------*****-------- It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.

Edited by: Paddlefoot Aeon on 24/08/2007 16:59:20 I remember reading in a Dev Blog that the skiff would have some adjustments made with regards to its mining yeild on some of the "lower-end" 'roids.
Will this change be coming with rev 2.2 and the ORE cap ship, or coming out in REV 3.0 along with the mineral-compression nerf?
Overall, great patch notes! I'm especially happy about the interdictor bubble changes... but I have a question:
Currently, if you are in warping to a gate and a bubble is popped after you are warping and in the tunnel, you fly through the bubble and land on the gate. Also, if you select warp and are aligning when the bubble is popped, it won't affect you.
Now, with this change, will both of the above cases be affected, or just the latter?

Eve is a massively complicated game and it never ceases to amaze me how even-handedly you approach the patches, adding and balancing all aspects of the game instead of pandering to one particular group (despite the whines on the forum).
Here's wishing you a smooth and successful deployment.

Some great stuff, to be sure. . .
Echoing others, though: What's the story with Khanid ships? You've linked us back to the early proposed changes, suggesting that there won't be heavy missiles on the damnation, etc. . .
Also, again, why no fix for the skill, LP, and isk intensive, "draftsman" implants? Just for the sake of another kick in the pants for already disgruntled inventors?

CCP Wrangler
In the patch notes it say:
"The research and invention science skills, except encryption methods, have been seeded on the market at a base price of 10 million ISK each."
Are you serious about this?
Are you aware of what this will do, not only to the markets, but to the whole gameplay per see? Have you even thought this through?
Not only will a lot of people loose a lot of money instantly. You will also make a joke out of everyone who have spent 100 mill+ for a science and research skills up until now.
All players who have yet not moved into science and research will have a huge advantage on those who have worked hard to be able to pay for expensive skills.
This is exactly what kiled Everquest2. When every player could create anything for themselves - food, clothings and armor etc - all collaboration and trade in parts and products stopped.
It is allready hard enough to make money out of invention. Now you are making it impossible. you are killing that part of the game.

The scan res/lock time of POS modules is also being adjusted, along with the sig radius of capital ships. It depends on the exact numbers, but I doubt it will be easy to do this with any terribly large ships. There's also the risk of a defender nipping out from behind the shield and stealing your ship.

I see nothing about Exploration ARCSAL site. Just to remenber some floating "box" can't be salvage or analyze. It's said use salvager and when using salvager it's said use analyzer (or something similar)
Some month ago (before last patch) there were no problem for salvage them. I think you should move all of them need to use analyzer.

So, where is the fix for those of us who can not place our full share of market orders? I was told that it was going to be in 2.2's update, and I (and others) have now been all but gated from placing a full compliment of market orders for upwards of 2 months.
I'd like an update, and I don't want to hear that contracts are a viable option, because it's not the same thing. I have been unable to use one of the core, base level systems in the game due to some obscure bug that noone wants to comment on.
This is roughly equivilent to going to any random vendor in another MMO, and consulting a friggin magic 8-ball to see if I can use the market. -dhav kincaide QI nooblet |

Originally by: Revelations v2.2 Patch Notes Interdictor warp disrupt probes will now prevent warp, even if the warp is already initiated.
While you can drop an interdiction sphere on a ship that is trying to enter warp and it will successfully make that attempt fail, the sphere still won't stop a ship that enters warp from another point of origin before the bubble goes up. Guess that means the ship still fails at the role description that says "Destroyer-class vessels, designed to pull other vessels out of warp." Still hoping you guys can get it right sooner or later so enemy ships can't just zoom straight through the bubble simply because they got into warp before you were able to drop the bubble. Would also be nice if the suck of the bubbles were fixed as well so a ship headed toward the bubble can't just warp through it as they currently do, but I'd settle for the other fix.

"* The volume of the mining barges and exhumers has been reduced as follows:" That's the volume of the ship itself, not the cargo capacity. I assume this makes it easier for the new industrial cap ship to haul them around.

The power output of the Muninn has been increased by 60 MW.
This still does not make the muninn a proper HAC.
Every other hac has 9 or 10, med + low , slots. The muninn has 8 3meds 5 lows.
The muninn has shield tank resists but armor tank slot layouts , which means it can`t tank either very well , and certainly cant tank like any of the other HAC`s.
Some people will say its main role is as a damage dealer from a distance , but a rupture can do nearly as well for a fraction of the price , a hurricane can deal a lot more damage with a far better tank for considerably less isk and is insurable , tempest .... hardly needs saying.
Really a muninn should be given an extra slot , if given a med slot it will be a reasonable shield tanker , if given a low slot it could be setup with either decent resists or dual repper . Neither new slot layout would uberise it , just give a bit more surviveability and a role to play .

This patch is missing the Minmatar Carrier rebalance. The Caldari shield tanking capitals got a cpu boost but the Minmatar shield tanking capitals have the same issues too. Heck, Nid has less cpu and less grid then the Thanatos. Hel has only the same amount of cpu as the armor-tanking Nyx while having less grid then the Thanatos and the Hel is pretty clearly supposed to be shield tanking with it's 7 mids and 5 lows.
My thoughts on Damps.

Does anyone have a link to where this was stated??? I would hate it to discovere minerals on reprocessed loot where 20% less than expected tuesday night after the patch was rolled-out...

Originally by: Aysia Ok not sure if I am missing something but all ORE barges ect in game say they have capacities to the order of a thousand, And yet in the patch it says they are being reduced to capacities in the 100 of thousands. could someone explain this?
The volumn changes are to allow the new ore cap ship to haul mining ships in the ship bay. Game play wise... relitively little effect.
Originally by: Explorers Ascendant Im mainly confused because too many players are saying too many different things. I see it the patch notes that the ice and miing upgrades cpu and yield/duration etc are to be corrected. Corrected to what? Is the -20% ice cycle duration mining upgrade I spent a fortune on still going to be -20% or am I going to be rather annoyed? Thankyou.
As far as I've heard they should be 6%, 7%, 8% and 9% upgrades not 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% that exist now.
Originally by: Digital Anarchist Does this patch nerf mineral compression? It's not explicit in the notes. Thanks.
Part of Rev 3.0, stated in the forums as it would disrupt 0.0 logistics in a manner too quick to adapt to. But it's still comming.

H E
Grow up, they are skills in eve, they should been seeded long ago when the mission rewards stopped giving them out. The players who paid the cash (like me) still have the advantage of having all the skills to 4 and 5 that others don't... hence time in eve is better then a price cut for a skill book (as isk = time and thats about it)

So now that alot of players have bought the high end mining and ice mining upgrades for extortionate amount of isk that to be honest is bang out fo order now 1-2 weeks later its going to be nerfed. I am really pied about this especially if noone is going to be compensated as some have spent over 500-1 billion isk per mining and ice mining upgrade and even spent real money on GTC to buy them.

This is almost certainly the wrong way to go.
If you reduce the ISK requirement for items, the market price will drop accordingly.
If you raise the ISK requirement, the market price may rise, but most likely will not, since demand for many LP store items is being more than met by supply from other sources (mission rewards etc).
Since the market price will vary with supply and demand, it is pointless (and potentially damaging) to adjust the base price to match the market price.
Instead, you should be removing supply from sources other than the LP store, so that supply can be entirely player determined and market prices can stabilize above the base prices set by the LP store, at a level reflecting the current value of LP.
Other than that, great looking patch.

I'd have to check to be certain, but I'm pretty sure that all the changes made to prices were to bring them in line with what we originally intended (ie, minor bugfixing) rather than trying to fine-tune prices by player market value. LP/Isk/Tag cost were all generated using an equation we cooked up, with a bit of variable-tweak to avoid crashing the prices on certain items.

We gave you 57 pages with tons of alternatives to nerfing NOS the way you proposed. Without acknowledging that you even read the thread, and by going ahead and implementing those changes you originally proposed, it leaves some of us wondering if you even really cared for our opinions at all. If you believe these changes are for the best, then fine-- but it would have been great to your responses to those alternative solutions.

What happens to those of us that don't have that right now but have the implant installed in one of our clones, or in our active clone? Is the effect just ignored for the active clone until we get lvl 5? Is our jump clones disabled until we get the skill trained up or can we still jump to it, but have the implant effect disabled?
I just tested this - if you already have the implant plugged in, it should just work, even if you clone jump around a bit.

Sigh. And you're still incompetent :(.
Yes I did and none work. That sig radius is a horrible plan as it doesn't do anything. They did the same to LSEII and oh wow look, I don't think the number of uber shield tank Drakes or Myrmis dropping at all. The sig radius increas for MWDs is 600% for some 10MN versions. Do they still get fit? Of course.
Sig radius idea: inviable and only caters to those who want to keep nos as it is but make it look like something was done.
As far as I know PvE has not changed at all with this nos fix so what are you complaining about then?
I'm sorry but your ideas are not sensible. They are in fact senseless whinings from someone who doesn't know much at all. The nos fix actually fixes the problem instead of all your "less ********" ideas which just cover it up.
Learn some physics about capacitors. If you connect 2 by a wire they equal out. If you want to suck more out you need to expend energy to do so.
Oh and vampires are technically already dead, so they suck your life to their equivilant: death.
If you want to NEUTRALIZE an enemies capacitor you should use a NEUTRALIZER. You know, kinda like if you wanna refrigerate something you use a refrigerater.
Now go troll another thread or come up with something that actually makes sense.

You know, kinda like if you wanna refrigerate something you use a refrigerater.

there not my ideas but i would like someone qualified to answer why they don't like them not some rabbid fanboi
ok u fit 3 L/m/s nos an the stacking penalty makes it so u only have 1 fitted an u miss a hell of a lot more with the tracking added to it, so if you only had 1 fitted u wouldn't be affected
ok nos hard points which you seems to have missed , all ships besides amarr only have 1 nos hard point most amarr ships have 2 an the recons have 3. with tracking added

None of those fixes, as I already stated, solve the problem of a Nos acting like a Neut. If you can give me one that stops the Nos acting like a Neut then you get a cookie and actually have a good idea for a possible fix for once.
You were the one that brought up the vamp thing to begin with. Countering lame with lame was always the best way to go.
And please read the actual physics explanation of how this stuff works (or what CCP is basing it off of anyway). Not any RP stuff but actual RL physics.
From what I've done on Sisi my PvE ships that depend on Nos have done just as well as they did pre-patch. So don't worry about that :D

Actually Pilgrims and Curses have always had a neut bonus, it's the Blood ships that are getting them. And neuts had the same PG requirements as noses the last time I checked Singularity.
The PvE issue is actually the one thing that I dislike about this change, as Nosferatu will now only give you cap and not decrease the NPC's chance of repping. This is just because it hurts me, however, it still makes sense. But I've now replaced my nos on my Abaddon with another laser... and it's even more effective than before! --- Proud Amarr pilot.

Including the changes to the Khanid, NosferatuYARRRR!!, Rorqual, as well as all the powergrid and CPU balancing as well as the sig increase of cap ships here are the key points*:
-Mining crystals are now inventible and the Tech II symbol is now displaying correctly on the Tech II variant icons.
--Lots of people have asked for them to be inventible and even more newbies.
-Invention of Tech 2 Mining Laser Upgrade and Ice Harvester Upgrades is now possible.
--It has been broken forever, rejoice and pray to your deity Chribba.
-Asteroids are now easier to target. You can now click anywhere on the asteroid to select it instead of needing to click its center.
--More miner love.ugh
-The volume of the warp sound has been lowered!
--Try turning your sound on again!
-Minmatar corporations now have access to missing factional Carbonized Lead and Depleted Uranium ammunition.
--Soon to be a favorite among the projectile using population.YARRRR!!
--Remember that the compression BPO's will require no research because of a wastage factor of 0.
--YARRRR!!There is a lot of love for non pvp in these patch notes but remember that pvp usually gets all the love and the next patch notes will be that much more pvp focused.

Only a question here really - and no, I haven't trolled all the posts so this may have already been answered..... I also realize it's probably to late to change the change coming...
Q: With regards to the damnation - will the other races be forced to use weapons that are NOT their racial weapons when it comes to fleet command ships? EX: Caldari - forced to use lasers, Gallente - forced to use projectile, Minmatar - forced to use Hybrids. If not - why is it that ONLY the Amarr Fleet Command ship is being forced to do so? At the very least - put the high slot fittings back so Amarr pilots, focused on AMARR weapons (Lasers) can keep fitting what they've trained for and NOT be FORCED to learn another races weapons.
I understand the tank is marginally better (not sure yet HOW much better), but really - to be forced into learning another race's weapon systems and all the underlying things that go with it to make it half-way effective? As no other race is being put through the same thing - will they be so forced in the future?
If Amarr are just the first (embracing their enemies weapons/tactices to be used against them) is fine, as long as the OTHER races also go through the same "revelation". Yes - each race has it's specialty and that specialty can and maybe should be investigated by the others. However, to ONLY force one race to do so is unfair to that race's pilots.
course - even if the gun races are forced to use other gun races, the gun bonuses still help..(trajectory analysis, surgical strike etc) where as Laser Guns to Missiles encompasses a whole new line of "secondary" skills.

Quote: ok you spewed that they want to do it for the neuts ok how about the sig bonus where after each nos is fitted you get increases of 400% or more to stop the nos domis everyones so worryed about an fitting nuets don't matter.
Increasing the sig of the ship with NOS? That seems... irrelevant. DomiNOS won't care. It'd destroy the Curse/Pilgrim because torps would do full damage (assuming they could catch it). Stupid idea.
Quote: An for the record i hardly pvp so you claiming my ,how you put it OMGWTFBBQPWNMOBILE is now screwed i only use my domi for missioning
Then you shouldn't care... there are tons of other very successful missioning setups for Dominix.
Quote: an dont give 2 fraks about pvp but what i wanted if for my mission running setup not to be fraked with because people like you cry like a little redheaded stepchild an cry nerf nerf nerf i got pwned in my uber command ship by a nos domis, when all was needed was stacking an tracking added to them or sig radius hell even nos hardpoints on all ships.
Stacking penalties for NOS aren't that great of an idea either... Curse/Pilgrim would be hit hard (yet again). Destroying the capacitor charge isn't like dampening or slowing down something... it's actual destruction. Should guns also have a stacking penalty? Stacking penalties don't make sense, stupid idea.
Tracking on NOS? That just makes everyone (well... the few who don't run them now) run nano setups. Stupid idea.
Signature radius effects... This doesn't keep the Curse/Pilgrim from killing ships much larger than is sensible. Meanwhile, depending on just how bad they are, completely kills any reason to use NOS on large ships. Your precious DomiNOS is again worthless. This idea was proposed by FOTM Curse/Pilgrim pilots to weaken heavy NOS against them while their medium NOS would be unchanged against the battleships... making them even *more* able to kill battleships than before. It does have the effect of making heavy NOS weak against interceptors but that's just a lucky side benefit.
NOS Hardpoints... Currently there are only three types of hardpoints in the system... turret, missile, and neither. Not only would the entire database require fixing but more than a little game logic would also have to be changed to support a new type of hardpoint. Every ship's data *in the game* would have to be analyzed to determine how many points it should have (if any), and every ship's data would have to be modified. It also sets a dangerous precident... should we evaluate every ship to determine exactly how many of every type of module in the game it should be able to mount? Regardless, your precious DomiNOS would be trashed again when it was decide that it should have 0, 1, or at most 2 NOS hardpoints.
Because of the power of NOS in the game, any/all changes to it is going to **** off FOTM pilots. So, the devs decided to *really* fix it by making it a defensive weapon and the NEUT into the true offensive weapon.
If it really screws you up that bad... can I have your stuff?
Quote: Q: With regards to the damnation - will the other races be forced to use weapons that are NOT their racial weapons when it comes to fleet command ships? The Damnation is build by Khanid. Khanid (as now are defined) use Caldari missiles and Amarr armor. Plus, according to the patch notes, all the Khanid ships now retain their turret hardpoints but receive no bonuses for them so you can continue to use lasers on them (or projectiles or hybrids), if you want.

[continued from above because of character count limit]
Khanid changes are great for Amarr... it gives them something new, although weapon dichotomy for a race is not new (Caldari have hybrid ships and missile ships, for example). Many already cross-trained pilots, like myself, can't wait for the changes to go live. Many Caldari are also excited because they will cross train (if they haven't started already) to have another flavor of ships available to them (arguably more suitable to pvp). Many laser-only Amarr are also excited and have been training missiles since the changes were announced. For them, they'll also be able to cross train to Caldari ships easier and have the best PvE ships in the game.
If you just can't stand it that many, many players will enjoy these new ships, can I have your stuff?

Actually, most other races have already been through this at least onces. The Caldari, the missle spammers, got a rail-boat for their Tier 3 battleship. Gallente have a mixture of drone heavy and hybrid heavy ships. And Minmatar? I have to train projectiles and missles for almost every single Minmatar ship from frigates up to battleships. And for a lot of them, I also need drones too. So I have three totally different weapon skill sets to train, none of which overlap the other.

LP/Isk/Tag cost were all generated using an equation we cooked up, with a bit of variable-tweak to avoid crashing the prices on certain items.
Thanks for that reply, Greyscale. I'll reserve further comment 'til I see what changes have been made.

To fix the pilgrim and curse, give them both a meager, but negative capacitor cost to neutralizers. This would effectively raise cap to the pilgrim and curse when the neuts are engaged on a target ship, thus allowing them to power the modules.
Another solution is to give them a mega fat capacitor bonus so they can run their modules.

Hi,
i have a question regarding 350s:
Originally by: CCP Wrangler Faction and Officer 350mm Railguns have had their optimal range boosted to 43200 meters, in line with their Prototype and Tech II counterparts.
Originally by: CCP Wrangler The optimal range on a number of faction and officer 350mm Railguns has been corrected.
according to evemon (can't get online to confirm it) Dread Guristas 350mm Railgun I has optimal of 46800m. so what is it going to be after Tuesday's patch? because changing it to 43200m is definatelly not a "boost".

There are a couple of outstanding questions from these past several pages that we may want to kindly ask for clarification on.
1. Drone Commanders... what type of loot will they drop? Serpentis drop Shadow Serp loot, Guristas drop Dread Gurista look.... will the Drone Commander spawns drop faction mods, or simply more minerals and salvage for loads of T2 components. I got a drone commander in an exploration site in Deklein, and it dropped no loot at all, but did salvage for around 10 T2 rig components.
2. Interdiction spheres: if someone is already "in the tunnel", and a dictor bubble is popped, will it pull that person out of warp early? As it stands now, if you are in warp before your destination gate is bubbled, you warp through the bubble and land on the gate at 0. Will this change with the patch, or does the patch only apply to those initiating warp when a bubble dropped on top of them?
3. Something was alluded to in earlier dev blogs: Skiff getting some sort of bonus for harvesting low-end minerals. Will that be coming in rev 2.2, of will that be coming with the mineral compression nerf in rev 3.0?
Thanks in advance, Paddlefoot -----------------------------------------------

I have my Chat window open most of the time, and in my Corp chat, and its great to have these messages come up on the 'current' window, agreed not all the windows.... but....
When on a mission that pops these up, like the one with the mother drone and it puts a message up saying whe has released more drones, its useful to have it in the current window, so that you can see it immediatly.
Could it not be changed to only popup in the current open chat window, rather than local all the time, or even an option to make it go to 'Local' or 'Current window' ????

Most players have their local channel separated out from their other channels, so that you can always keep tabs on who is in local with you. If this is the case, 2 active windows will get spammed. I personally have 8-10 channels open on a regular basis, so this "local only" is a blessing for when I run missions. -----------------------------------------------

You have 8 actually visible at one time, or 8 stacked??
I mean the one you can actually see, ie the top one, when stacked.
Ok, if you have 8 open channels, all next to each other rather than stacked, then I agree, but then you can use the 'option' that I suggested to make it just use the 'local' channel.

I thaught we were getting Officer spawns and hauler spawns (like the other regions have ) but it looks like I was wrong

Omg omg, me love you long time ♥
Now about the minmatar carriers . The caldari capitals got a cpu boost because they are shield tankers but are the minmatar carriers not considered shield tankers? Because they are not receiving a boost they do need to be able to shield tank without "wasting" slots on co-processors. In fact, the Nidhoggur has less cpu and less grid then Thanatos(an armor tanker), the Hel only has as much cpu as a Nyx(again an armor tanker) and less grid then the Thanatos . My thoughts on Damps.

Sigh. And you're still incompetent :(.
...
Learn some physics about capacitors. If you connect 2 by a wire they equal out. If you want to suck more out you need to expend energy to do so.
...
Now go troll another thread or come up with something that actually makes sense.
Speaking of incompetent trolls, one of the few things even more irritating than trying to justify game design by RL analogy is when the poster clearly doesn't understand what he is citing from RL. What type of major (as in, industrial capacity) battery or capacitor isn't implemented with multiple cells both in series and/or parallel? What makes you think you couldn't short the targeted power bank against just a small subset of the nossing ship's capacitor bank, which could then be switched back into the mank bank? As a rule, the sentiment "it can't be done" is incorrect -- and certainly not in the lexicon of any engineer worth his salt. Even more importantly, the sentiment "but in RL..." has no place here.
Sorry, back to relevant discussion: 1) Thank you for so many needed interface improvements! 2) Can we get a little more detail on the LP store changes, particularly for one last chance to buy those things becoming more expensive?

Well, I'm not sure. The Lorentz transformation could be redirected through the current loop for Ampere's law and thus short out the gradient velocity.

Originally by: CCP Wrangler The optimal range on a number of faction and officer 350mm Railguns has been corrected.
according to evemon (can't get online to confirm it) Dread Guristas 350mm Railgun I has optimal of 46800m. so what is it going to be after Tuesday's patch? because changing it to 43200m is definatelly not a "boost".
thnx, no1
This change was a boost only - variants with ranges greater than 43200m have not been changed. The Dread variant is definitely still at 46800.

Some notes have changed location:
NPCĆs -> LP Store * Khanid corps now has a good selection of modules, focusing around short-ranged missile systems and armor tanks. They also have access to Caldari Navy short-range missiles. * Ammatar corporations now have access to Amarr Navy laser crystals. * Caldari and Minmatar corps now has access to their own Heavy Assault Missile Launchers. * Minmatar corporations now have access to missing factional Carbonized Lead and Depleted Uranium ammunition.
NPCĆs -> Ships & Modules * Extended the Nosferatu transfer amount bonus on the Bloodraider ships (Cruor, Ashimmu and Bhaalgorn) to also include Energy Neutralizers.
Added patch notes:
* Added ôLPö tab in the Journal, to view the LPĆs you have with different corps. * Character Sheet Enhancement ű ôShow skill historyö and ôSettingsö have been moved to a tabbed system under skills. * The size of the fuel bay in starbases has been increased. * Energy Neutralizers have had their power grid requirements reduced, to be the same as the Nosferatu power grid requirements. * The Audio Engine has been upgraded, this mainly lays the foundation for better functionality upgrades in the future. * The power output of the Pilgrim has been increased by 100 MW. * The camera zoom level will no longer reset after you jump through a Stargate. * Added "Clear Cache" button in the Esc menu, under "Reset Settings". * Materials & Research groups have had items inside them reorganized. Two main groups were created called materials and components. Resource types were put under materials and components were put in the component group. The two groups were then put under a section named ôResearch & Inventionö.

I am on Firefox and it is still green to me. It starts with the spawn container change at the end of NPC changes, which is a new addition, and goes straight to the end of the patch notes making all of that text green. Well, I'm no html expert, but this is what the code looks like and it looks closed to me:

Your closing is indeed incorrect. The <font> tag starts before a <li> but this one <li> has no closing tag. Therefore the color format goes on to the rest. That whole paragraph should end with: "...Hulk.</li></ul></li></font></ul>", closing all lists correctly. If I'm right...

And we have even more patch note additions:
* Fixed typos and spelling errors in various mission and module descriptions. * There was a Serpentis Exploration Encounter that had Gurista NPCĆs in it, which have been removed. * Removed the reference to the ability to Remotely detonate a doomsday from the description of each doomsday device. * Some missions requiring delivery of items did not remove the items on mission completion. This has been fixed. * Some missions had ôobjective completedö displayed before they were actually finished. This has been fixed. * The Survey Scanner window now keeps items sorted in the same order after it updates. * Core Complexion ű a Minmatar corporation was offering Ammatar items in its LP Store. These have been removed. * Resolved server side issues that were causing encounters not to despawn after completion. * World map control panel and character sheet would sometimes appear outside the eve window after the cache is cleared. This has been fixed. * Fixed an issue where the tutorial would not continue if it was closed, even if ôYesö was answered to continue it another time. * Fixed the description for Heavy Missiles. * Fixed the display of the alliance logo in the character selection screen, as some logos were being cut off. * Fixed a display issue where text was off the left side of the window under the Home tab under Corp -> Alliance. * Fixed issue where the zoom level is not kept in between changing between Ship view, System view and Map view. * Moved the ôSaddleö small capacitor booster from the Small Cap Battery variations. * Changes to the output window of the Ship Scanner - "capacitors capacity" label removed as the proportional value now is in the format of "current / max Energy", removed the ôcapacityö gauge. * Fixed a typo in the description of the Signal Focusing Kit II rig. * Fixed issue where the Color of the login screen would revert from the Revelations II color scheme to the Revelations I color scheme if information was entered incorrectly. * Fixed a display issue where the text could be too close together in the Corporation Wallet screen, if no division was selected. * Fixed an exception caused by right clicking while the ship context menu is open. * In the mission ôGovernorĆs Aide (2 of 5)ö the drone required to complete the mission took too long to spawn. The time it takes for this drone to spawn has been reduced. * Clarified the error message that pops up if you attempt to activate a jump bridge that does not have enough fuel in it. * Fixed Manticore description to reflect that all other stealth bombers now have 3 launcher points. * Removed Caldari Navy BPCĆs from the Imperial Shipment LP store. * Changed the overseer effect drops in the Rogue Drone 10/10 complex to be in line with those from the other 10/10s. * Adjusted the mission description of Cash Flow for Capsuleers (2 of 10) to better reflect the location of one of the mission objectives. * Fixed an issue where drones would sometimes constantly attack control towers, causing errors and a lot of server load. * Adjusted the warp in point for the Damsel in Distress mission, as it was possible to get stuck on structures when warping in. * Fixed the tooltip over your own ship so that the text is centre aligned, not right aligned. * Exporting from the market to a file resulted in displaying an incorrect path name with forward slashes ô/ö instead of backslashes ô\ö. This has been fixed. * Fixed an issue where using the ôReset to Default Window Positionsö would cause an exception. * Changed the description of the Leadership skill to reflect the fact that it gives a bonus to scan resolution.
Let me know if there are any problems with the green tags again, I won't see it myself since I don't use Firefox.

Actually I mainly use Avant Browser, which is basically IE. I use Opera for some things, should probably switch everything to it but I'm too lazy. I do have Firefox installed but it refuses to start up, and I'm too lazy to reinstall, plus I must say i never really liked Firefox anyway.

That is just the way it is supposed to work. How it actually works depends on how the browser handles bad HTML. But like you said, if it works, it works.

Please go connect two capacitors with a wire. Then put a transistor on the "users" side so no power leaks back. Tell me what happens.
I don't care about industrial batteries. And the simple fact is the only way to get energy to flow "uphill" into another capacitor is to expend energy. I don't care how much but SOME energy will be spent and unless you have a module on the other ship that gets turned on by Nos which is labeled "I pump yo energy into that dudes ship when he asks nicely" then you are gonna be the one expending that energy.
I don't usually use "in RL" in posts but when they implement something that mirrors real life so well its just the sensible thing to do.

Please go connect 10 capacitors in series. These are your capacitor bank. Switch one out, connect it with the victim's capacitor which was at 20% the voltage of your own bank (thus 200% the voltage of the single capacitor you have now isolated from your bank). Connect the two with a wire. Disconnect. Switch the single capacitor back into your bank. Was that so darned difficult? "Sensible" doesn't include saying you can't do what is actually quite easy to implement. Please don't pursue a career in engineering, you'll just discourage actual progress with your naysaying attitude.
And just in case I didn't say it enough before, THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU CCP for the long-awaited interface improvements! Not rescaling the camera after every jump is even better than Old Peculier on gank night!

Do what you said in combat and I'll be impressed :P
Never said it was impossible. Hell I never said it couldn't be done. Go ahead and check my posts. All I said was that when you hook one capacitor to another that is how things work. By the way, the word "a" that I use, as in "a capacitor" denotes one capacitor not a bunch acting as one.
As I said I don't care about your industrial capacitors, or even just a group of them acting as one since there are banks of capacitors used in solid state Tesla coils and those aren't necessarily industrial, I was always saying one capacitor to one and this is what effect occurs.
Thanks for skewing my words just for some forum time Mr. Troll : /
I'm impressed though, I never thought there was someone else out there that actually knew how electronics worked :D
I was always going for the simplest explanation to counter those saying "thats not how it works in real life"

I don't think they will be fixed in this patch. At least Chronotis said it was unlikely, that the fix would make it.
Originally by: CCP Chronotis ... The fix requires programming time which means it is unlikely to be fixed in kali 2.2 (our next content patch) sadly. However Greyscale is dealing with it and will keep you apprised and when and how the implants will be fixed.

Nope :). It's a "Guristas Derelict", and it should require an Analyzer, not a Salvager, since 2.0. With 2.0, it started requiring one if you used the other, and vice versa, rendering it a very closed box indeed.

Encounters are low-strength exploration sites added in Revelations 2. It's not belt-related

Actually, that's not a bad idea...*
CapShips are already getting more and more vulnerable. The traning time for a CapShip is +/- a year (to fly it efficintly), the cost is more or less 1.5 Bil with the fitting and ship cost (that means A LOT of ISK). IF you fix LAG/Desynk & co that will be ok (or not ...), but if u even restrict the right to enter a POS then u leave them with NO DEFENCE (dont tell me that 12 fighters and a smartbomb have a chance with 5 - 6 BS'es - after all 1.5 bils is an average price of a smal gang that cold EASYLY wipe out a cap )

I am not pleased.
They don't get their cargo capacity reduced. The ships get their volume reduced, so more of the ships can fit in a ship maintenance array/bay.

Basically, server is up but we're still testing everything to make sure we can open it up safely, so it's not open to the public yet.

The install was perfectly fine 5 min before downtime. I obviously haven't touched it since.

Same problem here as well. Tried to reinstall of a few different clients of different ages and all became corrupt. Sounds like it might be back to the drawing board CCP!

At the first download of the patch, it said the file was corrupted (it tried to download it twice because two message boxes popped up). After I tried to download and install for a second time, it worked fine for me.

The client windows says: "Revelations 2.2.0 patch deployment today from 11:00-14:45 GMT." Yes, I saw there was a countdown but maybe we should wait a little more. Have you put on training a long time skill, haven't you ?

I did so, but it was not helping. (apears, that error in some DLLs). DLLs are: rtdll.dll, rtcres.dll found in root:/bin/

Here's the last changes:
We decided that introducing a new ship required an extra place in the patch notes, so the Rorqual ORE Capital Ship recieved it's own group and it looks like this:
New Ships
Rorqual ORE Capital Ship introduced as described in this Dev Blog. Features include:
* Unique assembly line which allows use of ore compression blueprints with a large variable volume compression * Able to fit the Capital Tractor Beam (200km range, 3,000m/s tractor velocity). * Able to fit 3 gang links, which have been revamped to optimize use of them for the Rorqual. * Able to fit Industrial Core I Module, a module specifically created for the Rorqual to be able to compress ore. * Bonus to mining foreman gang links. * Bonus to survey scanner and cargo scanner range. * Bonus to capital shield transporter shield transfer range. * 20% bonus to drone dmg and hitpoints per lvl. * Clone vat bay. * Corp hanger. * Ship maintenances hanger. * Drone bay able to fit regular drones. * Built from low sec stations, outposts and large ship arrays (0.4-0.0). * Operational in 0.4-0.0.
We also added the Exploit Fixes:
* ECM Burst will now correctly cause an aggression flag in empire, including any necessary CONCORD response. * Draftsman Implants have been removed from the LP Store. * Coupling arrays and other silos no longer reprocess into too many minerals compared to their buy price. * Consul series implants have been removed from the LP store. * The fleet commander no longer gives bonuses to himself if he is the sole member of a fleet. * A security hole was plugged that could potentially be used to hack the client.
Since the server is up and open for business, it is time to leave this thread and move to the feedback thread.
