Here we go again. I logged in, pressed undock, came out of the station, and boom, client isnt responding, after 30secs i get connection lost. I try to relog but password textbox is locked. Need to close EVE completely for at least 1 minute, otherwise, if i open it too quick, password textboy is still locked.
And i had problems with this page too..waited 3 minutes to reload.. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- no sig yet.. |

Yep, here the same stuff.
Provider is 1und1 in Germany. I¦m from the southern part too. Seems to me it¦s mainly people who get routed over Frankfurt.
I have about 4 to 6 discoes every hour.
I¦ve tried all the stuff - joining active channels, turning internet radio on, installing connection keeper ........ Doesn¦t help at all.
CCP, don¦t leave us alone in this. We WANT to play. We want to PAY. But not if it is like this.

Same goes for me except my ISP is the german T-Online.
It really sux to be handicapped that way. Losing drones, risking ships, etc. I didn't even bother to file a petition for reimbursement, for I have no hope that I will get a positiv answer. I know they do that to discourage misuse of the petition system. But hell... why would I bother to write a petition trying cheat/fraud me a bunch of drones.  It's a matter of principles that I want my drones back, which I didnt lose because of user mistake.
Ah, well... guess I do some courier missions in the meantime. Less risky ;)

Well I did a traceroute and it seems to break somewhere near Germany, just as someone some posts bellow mentioned. I don't really know what to do about this, but we can't blame CCP for the problem. The companies tracing are putting a bad light on the game for connection issues. Maybe even CCP could do and make multiple traceroutes for us.
Is there a program that enables tracing routes properly, or is this wholy up to the ISP's ?

Yeah, i know that CCP cant do anything to solve others firm problems, but at least reimbursement should be solved according to the problems.
Anyway, its all up to ISP where route goes, well, not even ISP can set up route. So we are tottaly dependant on some router in the middle of germany.. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- no sig yet.. |

Yeah...got always Dc the last days,each hour 4-6 dc i¦m not happy about this:-( Provider is T-Online Germany and the Support says my DSL-Connection works well. Tracertroute says i¦ll go over Frankfurt Level3,so think there the problem. Will use now the Pingplot prog and check out whats happend if i got DC next time!

Yes, lots of trouble here too.
Got DC'ed at least 5 times sunday in a short time. After that I moved away from Eve and did other, less annoying, stuff.
Traceroute showed that it was the same problem everyone else here has also: that **** router in Frankfurt!

Now I have to wonder, if that thing is so overloaded, why do I have to go through it from MUNICH? And how can it be so overloaded 24/7?
I don't suppose there is any way I can tell my connection how to hop to EVE myself, is there?

I do also get those connection loss problems again and again. There is no specific time intervall (every 10 minute every 5 minutes or so) to it from my point of view but two of our corp always have the connection loss at the same time. we both live in Germany but one in the North, other in the south. It is really annoying !

Please have them (and yourself too actually) download pingplotter, trace the route to www.eve-online.com (website is affected just like game), find the problematic hop and report your problem to telekom support. If we get everyone affected to do this, we just *might* get a cure. If we don't, we likely won't.

Running two accounts, don't notice that you're disconected until you try and do something like open a container, cargo, ect.
I even get this on SISI

I have connection problems as well - disconnecting in unregular intervals. Quite annoying during normal duty, deadly during pvp. Several other corp members have the same problem and we all disconnect at the same time.

This seems to have happened in the past, so might be happening now. And CCP as level3 customer (they are, are they?) should probably apply some pressure there, ere they WILL lose a few subscriptions. I just canceled my alt actually, and if this is not resolved in a timely manner, will not cancel the cancellation, but more likely also cancel the main :( No point in paying for a game I cannot really play. A shame I am on 3 month stints and they were renewed only last month :(

Same problem here, up to 15 disconnects per hour. Problem first occured on saturday. Game is unplayable this way.
Region is southern Germany ISP is T-online
Never had so massive problems with Connection.

I'm having the same issue as said in a couple other threads. This is dumb, CCP fix this or at least release a statement about it.
No point in paying for a game that doesn't allow you to play it, or much less recommending people to it.

Don't know what you did CCP, but it works again for me. No lag, average 50fps, and best of all, no disconnects! I figure it was a routing problem like most people here had, but hey, its magically fixed for me. How is it for you guys?

It does everything other than working.... five DC's in 10 minutes weren't my idea of gaming. My ISP is german GMX (1&1-Partner), so every ISP working over this big hub in Frankfurt (Schlund?) is having problems. Let's hope they get it fast and furious....i'm annoyed beyond the galaxy frontier...

Seriously guys, you need to call T-Online. They actually just told me that they have no other reports of this and that their own measurement determined everything is fine. Maybe if a few more people than just me tell them it is NOT fine, something will be done...
And yeah, a little bit of supporting preasure from CCP would be welcome too...
Also the last guy I talked to told me my packets might be too large or something. Is that really a possible problem, and with so many people all having it?

How many of you have not problem play other MMO's (WOW or EQ2)? If you do not have an issue running any other MMO, then the problem is with CCP. Every MMO transmits and receives information at a diffrent rate on diffrent ports. Some MMO's require a lot of information to be passed while other don't. WOW designed there MMO to run on a 56k connection, so they would not have this issue.
Now I have been playing the game for 2 weeks, so I dont have a lot invested into the game, but CCP will only really fix thing is users start cancelling there accounts. From what I can see their communication is horrible about this issue, so that can only mean they dont have a fix for it and they are just going to hope the majority of the users will overlook it and keep paying them the monthly fee.
CCP is a company like any other they only care about the bottem line. Until that get damaged they are not going to do anything. This issue has been going on for 2 months now and it is related to the new patch? If CCP really wanted it fixed they would have fixed it by now. As soon as enough customers dump them they will fix it, then you can sign back up and play.

Uhm, it is a routing problem. If the other games do not go through the faulty box, there is no problems with them. I don't know if CCP is totally innocent, but the lions share of the blame definitely lies somewhere else. I am afraid though that I have to agree, canceling subs is probably the best way to get CCP to try to help us. Maybe they can even sue the Telekom because their crappy box is causing them to lose subs?
