That could be my fault in forgetting to change that number. If you look at the exe files properties, itll show the correct version number. In the MultiComponent Calc, the cost of minerals is the value set in Tools - Preferences - Market Logs. However, the Buy price can only be one of the buy price types. The problem with this is that the Buy Price is actually a price at which someone has offered to buy the mineral, often at a much lower level than the average price at this the mineral is selling. I am open to changing this, but let me make sure I have your argument correct. Buy prices are often far lower than the sell price for the market, meaning that if you were to go buy minerals from the market, you wont get them at the mean buy price but instead at the lowest(or mean) sell price. Therefore the calculator should instead use the sell price for minerals. Do you have any math for prices beyond what I use now that might be better?

I believe you understand my idea correctly. The Market Data/Sellers & Buyers prices that EVE lets you save are not actually a record of market sells and buys, but rather the offers to sell or buy made by players. The Buy prices are often very optimistic offers to relieve players of items at huge discounts on their true market value. The actual record of market activity is under the tab Price History, which reports daily item volume sold as well as high, low and average prices of items sold.
As a manufactor I'm interested in the relationship between cost of production and selling price. The average price for which minerals and components sell are the value that helps me understand if I am selling items (whose minerals I may have mined) at a profit or a loss.
As far as I know, the Price History informatin is not exportable out of EVE. However, the Mean Sell price appears to be quite close to the Average Selling price and could be used quite successfully. A minor improvement on the Mean Sell price would be if it were possible to clip off the highest two or three sell offers to eliminate the occasional 'newbie trap' price where someone offers one unit of morphite for 9,500,000 vs. 9,500. Not sure it this is even possible, but it would clean up the Mean Sell price.
I think the above is clear. Modifying the MultiComponent Calc to better reflect cost of the resources would be very very helpful.

I forceably downloaded the 2.3.2.0 update file and it seems to work ok. The old exe is dropped into a Backups folder and a new eve is put in its place. Right click > properties > version tab reveals that the file version info embedded on the file is indeed 2.3.2.0, but Help > About within the program shows 2.3.1.0. Hopefully this helps you in tracking down the oddity.
The JIT error I am having a hard time reproducing. Usually hitting the Force Download button after the program has already downloaded the most current market data invokes an instant error message resulting in a dialog box with the option to see more details, continue on in spit of the error or quit. After clicking the continue button a big red X is placed over the wallet data. I will send the log I did happen to save over to you. Thanks again

I realy like this program so far.
However I seem to have a problem to load POS fuel calculator or it might be that I havnt found it. When trying to update its downloaded but not shown. When I then check updates again, the POS is still showing as not downloaded (however its in the folder).
So please tell me where to look inside the program for it or tell me what I'm doing wrong.

I'm still getting that damned "Error getting Journal Data for Zak Bryn: Expected beforeRefID [numbers] but supplied [0]: wallet previously loaded" message. Hasn't dl'ed the journal since 14/10/07  . The wallet Transactions dl fine. Any ideas?

I have a whiteboard full of changes and bug fixes, most of which I can fix. I think I know what is causing the annoying errors in downloading transactions, but not really sure right now how to fix it.
Paradox Twin: If you wait overnight or something (longer than 1 hour) and open the program, doing nothing for about 3 minutes (i.e dont close or change characters/profiles) does it still do it? If so then that really narrows down where the problem lies.
S Trooper: sometimes the plugins get put into the plugins folder, but the program loads and for some reason checks the folder located in My Documents, where the plugins are not. This bug is also linked to one or more transaction bugs. If it gets really annoying, just copy the dll files into both folders.

First, of all really nice program, really helped me a lot ^^
I'm also getting the"Error getting Journal Data for area51: Expected before RefID [numbers] but supplied [0]: wallet previously loaded" for about 3 days now my journal isn't loading but wallet transactions are fine. I also did try leaving it on for one night, or closing and starting again for a few tries, still getting the same error.

I think you ca only download either the wallet transaction or wallet journal from the EVE per hour. SO when we do a Force Download, the transactions updates fine but the journal doesn't =(
I guess you can separate the force download, one for the transaction and one for the journal.

Hmn. Any ideas what might be causing my problem.
Everything seems to download just fine - no errors in the logs.
But for some reason, the program won't even generate wallet journal .xml.
Can I download it manually via the api and put it in the right directory ?
Tried the tips in the thread, ie. do nothing for 1hr+, start EVE-MEEP, let it run for awhile. It refreshes everything 'fine', down left it states it has the journal data. But no journal xml is generated and obviously no journal entries show up.
Ideas ?

A bit more light to my problem, and hopefully a bit more clearly.
Wallet transactions download fine. Character details download fine.
Only having problems with wallent journal entries - EVE-MEEP doesn't even create an xml file for them. Waiting 1h+ between program starts and 'letting it do it's thing' for 5 mins doesn't help.
I manually tested the api and journal details download just fine with the data I have put in EVE-MEEP.
After starting the program, character details and transactions download fine. When it's turn to download wallet journal details "no new journal entries found" is displayed on the lower left corner.
Even when it's 100% sure there's new stuff. Not even a single xml file for the journal entries has been created.
Ideas?

Wow, Thats weird. Check both the Eve-MEEP folder and if there is a folder in your My Documents folder, to see if the files wound up there. The next update may not be out this week, because of lack of time, but I am going around trying to fix all the bug reports I have gotten in regarding these journal errors, such as if you sort the entries and then try to load, it will freak out and not display anything.

I suppose some of the wallet/journal problems could be caused by having EveMon running at the same time. It also checks your wallet and downloads the data every hour which will reset the timer and might stop the server giving EveMeep the data.
Perhaps someone should look at writing a program that will download all the possible API data every hour and cache it for all the other programs to interrogate.

Thankfully that bug you posted has already been fixed. I believe I have also fixed the bug that randomly places files into the My Documents folder even though you are running XP and the folder is not locked. I am reviewing the journal code and making sure that it is correct, but I do not know how many problems the folder bugfix will solve (could be fixed already). I have a few more things to look into, hopefully I'll push out an update this weekend.

I noticed this problem when I was using 3.2.1, but it is now present in 2.3.2. I think that maybe something is preventing this program from working correctly. I doubt that the software is doing this from version to version, since no one else has mentioned this I don't think. My plug ins are not present if I use a shortcut or load the software from a tool bar link. It seems only able to load from the MEEP icon in the unzipped folder. Tonight it started doing that, so now I am stuck again with no Plug in access. The thing is it will come and go. Sometimes they are there and sometimes not. Anything I might be doing wrong. I am highly computer illiterate when it comes to programs and programming in general, so the fix may be over my head, but I'll give it a try.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or if it's designed this way. I'm new to EveMEEP.
I manually add a bunch of blueprints (bought by my alt and transferred to the corp hanger) and a stack of minerals (reprocessed items from another alt and transferred to the corp hanger). This all seems fine and I log out of EveMEEP. I then log back in a few minutes later and all is fine - all the blueprints and minerals are there as expected.
Problem - I log back in the next morning and all my manually entered data is gone. I'm back to the inventory items from the transaction log i.e. only those items I have bought are listed. Anything transferred from another character is gone.
I'm hoping I've just missed a simple step somewhere. There doesn't seem to be an option to save the data. Please let me know.

well, i'm not getting the transaction ID issue again as well (even waited for 2-3 hours before opening any eve-related programs, except for the client). its annoying ><
as an extended request as well, as i'm not sure now if i mentioned it, would be sales from individual items as well (this is where graphs / charts would come in handy).
for example, how many units of X items I sold, showing daily profits, weekly profits, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annual profits. (Since the API only goes back 1 month, I assume you would need to add in a database into the program to store sales).
During downtime, I'll make a nice picture as to what I'm imagining =)

Ok, so maybe IÆm just an idiot, but IÆm an idiot who needs help. A while back I posted on the other thread about Meep not reflecting the changes I made to material efficiency I put into the tool. The developers were surprised and said that it was probably just an issue with the data files.
Nonetheless, IÆve tried on version after version, uninstalled and reinstalled (including deleting the ôBomeö folder in documents and settings), and the issue still persists. If this was a consistent problem, everyone would be screaming about it, and I canÆt imagine anything specific to my system that would cause it. So IÆve decided IÆm doing something wrong and I want to see how someone who doesnÆt have trouble adjusting MEs on their BPOs does it.
So, letÆs take a BPO, such as the Capital Armor Plates blueprint. Can someone tell me the process they go through to enter and adjust this itemÆs ME?
EDIT: Ok, here's something weird. I just reinstalled and went to the Efficiency Calculator and chose Capital Armor Plates blueprint. Everything looked right until I adjusted the ME and changed to the Comparison of Start ME to End ME tab. Then Start Waste Cost, End Waste Cost, and Isk saved per run all changed to 0. Now the behavior is consistent with what I said before, and it doesn't reflect the changes to ME. Then I chose the Capital Armor Repairer I Blueprint and it functions exactly as I expect it to, reflecting my changes to ME. Am I losing my mind? I really want to use this program, but it just doesn't seem to work for me.

This is a problem on my end. I need to manually update the data files and then have meep redownload them for you. The only reason I have not done it already is that I have been quite a bit short on time lately. I promise though that this affects everyone and not just you. Hopefully I will get this out when I release the next version soon(tm).

Great update, like it so far, with a couple questions (tried to read up and find answers first, but couldn't)
1. Save as Text in the Add to Bill window causes an exception error.
2. Is there a way to add multiple jobs to the same bill? aka, if building a capital ship, is it possible to create a bill on all the mineral bills for each component, to get granular quantities and pricing/cost info, or do you need to create a bill for each component?

#1 has been fixed and I just need to release update, and as long as the bill window is open you can just keep adding things to it. It will total everything up for you.

As you can see its mostly bug fixes, this is because I have been a bit short on time lately to sit down and do real work. This addresses just about all the crash bugs people reported, and *MAY* fix the journal. This does fix the weird loading problems.

Hey Salvis,
I've always loved EVE-MEEP but I'm having a slight problem with the new version. I've only been able to get it to work once. Now when I load EVE-MEEP, the app loads, but my characters don't show up. If I go to File -> Load Profile -> [My Profile] and click nothing happens. I don't even see any network activity from EVE-MEEP. I'm running Vista Ultimate x64 on an AMD Opteron 185 (2.6Ghz Dual Core) w/3GB PC3200 and Geforce 8800GTS 640M if that makes much of a difference. I tried on another machine (XP x32) and the same thing happens. Any assitance would be appreciated.
