Edited by: Jorund Bork on 28/09/2007 17:31:25 I'm able to log in now, and am able to connect faster than I have in the last few weeks. Before it was slow getting past checking status, now it's pretty much instantaneous.
Seems someones done something right

I'm with eclipse. Stuck at Checking status... Then Unknown
Sigh. Eclipse have been a very good ISP for about 2 years but I seem to have problems with EVE. Is it really an eclipse problem or is it just coincidence. Everything else is working fine. Email, web, VPN to office, etc. When I have problems with EVE, everything else is always OK. Yet I have seen lots of posts suggesting that eclipse users have issues.

Same here. Same problems as last night. Although I did get a couple of logins and managed to start some training. I wonder if it will be any better after DT.

I was in ok this morning for 40 mins with no issues (untill DT), but it was broken (late) yesterday night when I tryed to login.
I guess we all monitor the situation and see what happens over the weekend.

haved requested my mac code and gave a eve online as the clear reason.. so hopefully they might start paying attention to the issue..
(i know i'm just one user buut if they care at all they might worry that people might feel strongly enough to leave the isp over this issue)
personally i almost gave up on eve a month ago over never being able to connect.. now that its become quite obvious that it is the eclipse having the issue.. then i don't mind moving on so much (am still in eve fr the long haul ;) )..
still eclipse have up to 5days to sort the issue or give over the mac code.. i'll post how it goes..

OK,
I get this problem every night after down time, doesn't occur any other time of the day/night. The client normally reports that the connection was lost.
Has there been any other info other deleting the file?
Cheers

Hi,
Yeah im having exactly the same problem as well, started yesterday and now just "checking status" constantly Have also phoned eclipse (in call queue for half an hour) and raised a ticket issue. Am waiting for a response. Have also been runing ping plotter which just shows first seven hops then destination address unreachable on 87.237.88.200.
Hope they fix it soon
Dyson.

Edited by: iNsAn3 on 29/09/2007 15:15:26 Edited by: iNsAn3 on 29/09/2007 15:13:53 ok, im concerned that eclipse seem to want to place the blame off on CCP, could we get a representive from ccp to tell us if that was correct?
"up-stream / CCP resolved it last time"
Originally by: Drozon K still eclipse have up to 5days to sort the issue or give over the mac code.. i'll post how it goes..
also /signed.
Problems persist, but every 30 mins or so i can log in, then get d/c again. ---

Yup....I'm unable to connect again too. I have noticed it takes quite a few seconds "Checking status", but then get "Status OK", but then stick at "Acquiring Bulk Data". When things are OK I get to "Status OK" almost instantly.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're getting a traceroute of at least 6-7 hops, surely that means you're losing packets AFTER the influence of your ISP ? The traceroute I posted last night seemed to show I was only a short hop away from the destination.
Perhaps it's not Eclipse in this case? I am having no other connection troubles...can surf, download, check email etc

I just started getting connection issues again just after 4pm.
These issues do seem to be very similar to the ones in the tiscali thread. Lets just hope CCP and Eclipse are talking to each other again. Some feed back from CCP would not go amiss again.

Sure, I'm not saying Eclipse aren't involved at all...it will depend on how exactly things are routed.
...and to make matters worse Fiji are wiping the board with Wales in the rugby

I am almost having connection issues and I'm with Eclipse.
I'm getting long waits stuck on "Checking Status" and if that is successful I generally get stuck for 10 mins or so at "Logging in as Heartstone"
The other problem I've only recently starting having is dropping connection when going into what can only be described as "High Lag" situation e.g. Jumping through Gates ina camp etc.

One thing tho.. 87.237.88.200 belongs to Lufthansa so doing a tracert to them probably isn't too helpful
The IP to do the tracert to is 87.237.38.200
