Well that was about 1 1/2 hours of relatively drop free playing time. At least I managed to set some longer skills training.
Be good if a Dev could sticky an Eclipse Connection Issues thread next to the Tiscali one - would save a fair few more threads being started.

Heres and interesting twist! I have an Eclipse connection and my next door neighbor a talktalk one, when I have been having trouble with my Eclipse connection I have been flicking over to the talktalk connection (with neighbors permisson), however the connection issues are still present.
I need to do more testing on this but as far as I am aware talktalk dont use any of Tiscalis backhaul, therefore that would imply the issue is with CCP.
I will let you know how the testing goes

Eclipse closed my ticket. Saying "we're working on it"
I opened another one and sent them a sh!t-o-gram.
I was able to logon earlier but I'm stuffed again. Stuck at Checking Status...
Can't wait for my 2nd ASDL connection with zen to be enabled on Friday.

Edited by: Jorund Bork on 01/10/2007 20:31:42 I was able to log in again last night and this morning no problem, then I got booted out around 10:30 eve time, and haven't been able to connect since (again...).
The nature of the problem seems to have changed a bit. I can now get past checking status, log in a select a character, but the connection drops while trying the enter game...every time.
I've had a reply to my ticket with Eclipse... Originally by: Eclipse technical support EVE
We are aware of an issue and are currently investigating.
We shall update you as soon as we have further information.
My current 12 month contract with eclipse is up on the 7th of October and I'll probably be moving I think

Eclipse can f*** right off.
Edit - and down again...

Also jumping on the bandwagon (again).
This issue seems to crop up after each patch. Last time it didn't last more than a day however.

Seems like some similar problems have happened in the past. Just checked my tracert and found that Eclipse also routes via the LLNW routers. Could it be that the problem is Limelite Networks?

Having had a look around Eclipses web site I found this paragraph on their faq page :-
Quote: Why do you manage traffic on your Evolution Broadband products?
All Eclipse Evolution Broadband products come with unlimited downloads (subject to a generous Fair Usage Policy), but, in order to give all of our customers the best possible service at a competitive price, we manage the traffic on these products so that intensive activities such as such as file downloads, peer-to-peer (P2P) and Usenet traffic do not swamp the network and slow down time-sensitive traffic, such as web browsing, email, gaming and Internet phone calls
Linkage
I think we are possibly getting the same issue as the Tiscali users are and Eclipse are treating EVE as p2p traffic either accidentally or purposefully. Somethings a foot with port 26000.

i am having the same problems as all the rest of you. I notice on your link that the time stated as the busy period is 6pm to midnight. Strangely that is the time yesterday that i could not connect for. I have added my ticket to eclipses growing pile and have also petitioned ccp to see if there is a way to change ports to avoid this problem. You never know

Have been able to log in fine this morning, then at 10:38 eve time (pretty much the same time as yesterday) I lose connection to eve and can't log back in.
Like others have said, it's as if someone is flicking a switch at the same time every day... |

When my internet cut's off it's usually around 6pm till 11pm GMT, and also around 10:30 am. I really dont get why I would have trouble out of peak times.
My internet sucks so bad that when they slap on the capped bandwith thing I even get my connection lost just to regular internet. My computer had a hell of a time keeping a open connection at the times affected.
I am now thinking of telling them to go **** themselves, I have had issues since around january and they have allways told me that I cant leave as I am on a contract and if I leave I have to pay them ú26 per month till it expires. They aren't gettin a penny off me though from now on, they can threaten to take me to court or whatever they do, I really have just stopped caring.
I am with Pipex Homecall by the way, and they go through Tiscali's netowrk.

its all eclipse contracts it would seem, I'm on their Flex service (was on one of the older style unlimited jobbies before) so I guess its not just the cheaper service with the issue

Ive also logged a ticket with Eclipse last night, got a reply back this morning.
"Call Transferred) We are aware of a problem with this game.
We are currently investigating this fault and shall update you as soon as we have further information"
Hopefully they will get to the bottom of this sooner rather than later or we'll have to consider swapping ISPs.
