I asked for my MAC code and this is the reply I got:
"Please be advised your current package has a fair use policy of 20Gb between the hours of 6pm and midnight, the rest of the time your usage is unlimited. On top of this you are on one of the lowest priority packages on our network. If your connection is predominately being used for online gaming we would suggest look at regrading to a higher priority package."
Between 6pm and midnight?? I couldn't log on ALL DAY! Hehe, and this:
"I'm sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing with Eve, may I suggest continuing to liaise with our Technical Support Department"
May I suggest you go F*** yourselves

I requested my MAC from Eclipse last night, it arrived at 9am on the dot. If only Eclipse were as good at retaining customers as they are at letting them leave...

Yep...
I'm strongly suspecting that this means that Eclipse is either lying or stupid (anyone vote for both?).
Either the techie I spoke to was lying (deliberately or not) when he said that Eclipse do not block any ports, or Eclipse is too stupid/disorganised to remember what they did to fix this problem 6-7 weeks ago.

Same issues here in Estonia.
Dunno how i'm related to Eclipse or Tiscal'i but i have submitted the bugreport and are waiting for answers. And i have contacted my ISP to make them search for answer - though that might not yield the best results as they are sure that this is EVE's problem or my computer settings and in all cases not theirs problem.
Hope this will be fixed soon. Have not had more login time than 2 mins for 2 weeks now. ---------- FOR SALE: Parachute. Used once. Never opend. Little stained. Eve-mail for details. |

I have had the same response and my ticket has been closed. Lets hope that they have sorted it but so far today it is working as normal.
Hope Tiscali resolve the issue for their users - wouldnt it be amazing if both issues got fixed at the same time.

I don't get the "server status OK" message instantly, but it does appear after a few seconds, and I can log in ok. So whatever Eclipse did has helped...
Unfortunately for Eclipse, Zen already has my order...

I got the same message and the ticket has been closed. I would like to know exactly what the issue was but I guess I can't have everything. Eclipse seem confident that they have resolved the issue.
I have been able to login in repeatedly this evening without any problems.

Same, I've had to use my SSH tunnel all night to get in.
In addition, I've been having HORRENDOUS lagspikes all night for no apparant reason what so ever.

Eclipse issues have been corrected. This is from an email I have just recived. Eve was ok with no problems yesterday
EVE Online traffic was being mis-classified as P2P traffic in some circumstances for some customers and incorrectly managed across our network, this is not specific to any transit provider and was not based on communications port, ie: 26000 was not being specifically throttled.
Our Network Engineers have implemented a fix which will stop all EVE Online traffic for all customers from being mis-classified and we are also liaising with our Hardware suppliers to have this issue addressed in subsequent maintenance releases.
Thank you for your patience while we resolved the issue.
Regards,
Autumn

tiscali have for once phoned me, they are still working on their network issues, but my service /blocking should be ok from now. They would not say any more than that on the problem. so far no bandwidth drop and still can get into Eve.

Originally by: VeNT I'm on a supposed unlimited service, why are they monitoring whats P2P and whats not?
Because it is a matter of QoS (Quality of Service). P2P is considered low priority in every and all networks and other types of traffic will always be prioritised regardless.
